A botched laser surgery from another doctor landed me in the burn unit at St. Francis Hospital. I thought I might be scarred for life. Dr. DeWeese was waiting for me at the hospital. He calmed my fears, correctly diagnosed an antibiotic resistant staph infection over my entire face and chest, and may have saved my life. I attribute my scar free healing to his excellent care. Can’t recommend him more highly.

Dr. DeWeese continues to amaze us and inspire us during the journey we have been on for the last two and a half years. We have encountered ups and downs and during this time, Dr DeWeese has never left our side and continues to help and guide us through this journey to get well. His commitment for his patients is unmatched. He works all day /​all night if he needs to always with a smile on his face. The Bothin Burn Unit at Saint Francis Memorial has an angel in Dr. Deweese that saves lives every day. We are blessed to have him.

Don’t go for hair laser treatments: they advertise hair removal but what they actually do is hair reduction. They do not have the technology to do hair removal. Don’t waste your money.

I had a great experience here. The laser hair removal was extremely effective on my legs. The staff are all nice and very professional and experienced. The waiting area and treatment rooms are clean. I may try a pico laser facial next. I will update if I do.

The office staff is nice and punctual by my experience, but the groupon for the 3 treatments on a small area is not worth the money. The laser is completely ineffective compared to treatments at other salons that I have had in the past.

I wish there was a negative star on Unilocal to rate this doctor who burned my face during laser hair removal and he happily walk around thinking he did not do any negligence. It’s scary to think that this guy makes mistake and does not accept it so I wonder how many others will get hurt or burned. I went there to change how I feel about the hairs on my face and this guy made it worst. He should not do laser if he mess up people’s life. I wish I could post the pic of how horrible he burned my face. And this place is greedy place as you’ll pay full price regardless if they mess up or not… Karma is a bitch I just hope he will be punished for all the horrible service and accident he has caused.

I had some laser treatment a few months ago that worked out great for me done by Dr jeffery Deweese. He was attentive to my needs listened to what i had to say and i was seen in his very salubrious office in downtown san francisco in a very timely manor. I will defiantly return for further procedures.

Went in today for my first session of laser hair removal. The nurse who did my laser was very informative, quick and really nice. It went a lot more smoothly than expected. So far no complaints :)

I bought a groupon for laser hair removal. I was a bit hesitant because of some of the bad reviews, but it was a great deal and I liked that they consider full face a medium treatment area, as I was looking to have my sideburns, mustache and chin done.
I have been in for 2 treatments now, and both times the girl at the front desk was friendly. I only waited maybe 5 minutes before they took me in for the numbing cream. The numbing cream works GREAT, although I do think it’s a bit overpriced.
I have had 2 different technicians do my treatments and both were warm, friendly and patient. They answered all of my questions and made sure to remind me of what to do for aftercare.
I think a lot of people expect hair to stay gone for a certain amount of time after treatment and then just grow back like normal until they get another treatment. The thing with laser hair removal is that the hair will start to grow back, but should be thinner. That’s the reason for getting multiple treatments, it takes awhile to completely kill the follicle. How long the hair stays gone after your first treatment isn’t a good indicator of how well the treatment works. It also has to do with how dark your hair is, and how dark your skin is. I’ve had laser hair removal before at other places and looking glass does just as good as job as anywhere else I’ve been, and for a great price. I’m very happy with their services.

Unfortunately, did not have a good time. Went here with a groupon for laser hair removal. Average wait time — 1 hour. On one occasion the wait was almost 2 hours, when I informed a member of staff I had to be elsewhere, the doctor came in and asked surprisedly, if there was somewhere I needed to be. To boot the laser treatment did not work at all, however I was relieved to be finished the sessions so I wouldn’t have to waste anymore time. Will not be returning.

I bought a Groupon deal for a small area laser hair removal and used it for my underarms. It was the 5^th time that I did laser in my underarms and never had any problem in the past. Every time that I was doing laser in this area (different studio) it lasted for at least 3 months, and that was the main reason that i decided to try laser in the first place. Not this time at this studio… unfortunately only after TWO WEEKS I see hair growing in, like I never did any laser treatment. I called them regarding the issue and they offered me another treatment so as to get it right.

I had the groupon for 3 laser hair removal sessions. I was nervous because I didn’t know what to expect, plus the reviews were not all that great. The place is clean and the staff is professional and courteous! I will definitely be coming back for anything beauty treatment related!

I bought an Amazon Local Voucher for a chemical peel. The lady (forgot her name) just put one layer on. I did have a slight peel, but nothing unusual that I am use to. It was the same effect as my Retinol cream. It wasn’t worth spending $ 59 for.

I just came for a consultation and they made me feel like an idiot. I needed something corrected and the doctor said he couldn’t do anything, which is fine. However, the attitude wasn’t cool and I’m pretty sure I overheard the doctor and assistant talking badly about me afterwards. Unprofessional

Looking Glass Plastic Surgery contacted Unilocal to get my previous review taken down because it used a doctor’s name. I think that’s interesting since the positive reviews using this doctor’s name remain up and LGPS seems to have no interest in having them removed. While I am sure they would prefer I not repost my original review again, that is exactly what I am doing. I have removed the doctor’s name and included only initials to protect his identity (although if he weren’t behaving criminally he would have no reason to worry about that in the first place).
In November of 2012 I was burned in a flash fire and went to the hospital. At the hospital they assigned J DW for outpatient care regarding the burns. First, he was always at minimum an hour late to every appointment we had. Second, he did not attend the final meeting (he was over 90 minutes late so I just left). Following the conclusion of outpatient services he sent me a bill and, shockingly, decided it was appropriate to charge me for the appointment that he no-​showed. I contacted Looking Glass Plastic and said I would be happy to pay for the services that J DW actually performed but that I was not interested in paying him for services he hadn’t provided. They told me that J DW had signed some document saying he had met with me that day (which is an interesting criteria for evidence of a meeting, maybe I should sign a document saying he met with me and charge him $ 200?). As a result they told me they were not interested in discussing the topic further and would be happy to send me to collections if I didn’t pay them in full for the combined actual and fictional services. So I agreed to pay.
We worked out a payment plan and, though I was disgusted by the abuse being perpetuated, I was happy to have the matter resolved. In December I was contacted saying that I made a late payment. I contacted Looking Glass Plastic immediately and told them that there must be an error because they were taking automatic payments from my bank account. They said that, in fact, there was an error and that I was not late on my payments. There had been some glitch in the system that showed me as delinquent and they would resolve it. The next three months I continued to receive notices that I was late as well as notices that I was on time. I contacted them two more times about the late notices and they continued to reassure me that it was an issue with their system which would not continue to be a problem.
Finally, three weeks ago I received a notice from a collections agency that Looking Glass Plastic had sent my «overdue» amount to them for collection. I immediately contacted Looking Glass Plastic again as well as wrote the collections agency. Given Looking Glass Plastic’s malfeasance and incompetence so far, I am not optimistic that this is the end of the ordeal.
In short, Looking Glass Plastic will charge you for services they don’t provide and mishandle your financial agreement. I cannot stress strongly enough that this is not an office to do business with or associate yourself with. I am thoroughly unimpressed. Attempts to contact the hospital and report J DW have also been unsuccessful but I encourage anyone with a similar experience to do so as hopefully enough reports will yield some kind of consequence for this fraudulent behavior.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could!!!
Purchased a deal from Amazon local for a 1 hour massage. Booked on the phone for the same day (VERY friendly staff!). When I arrived, they asked me to fill out a questionnaire (to learn about pain/​discomfort/​allergies/​etc). After that, it was just a short wait of 2 minutes before I was assigned to the massage therapist — Jamal.
He asked about my pain/​discomforts, we chatted for about 2 – 3 minutes. Then I was told to get ready for the massage in the assigned room. The massage was by far the BEST massage I have ever had! he got all my knots/​tension points, and most importantly, he really paid attention to my body’s reactions to certain tender spots. My body feel so great today, I feel like I am in my early 20s again!
Jamal is very professional, and really knows what he is doing. This is to say, its better to get a massage from a physical therapist than someone who learned to massage watching youtube.
I am definitely coming back here. Just wish the location was better, but let me tell you, Jamal is worth a trip down Ellis St!

The Dr. is crazy and I don’t understand why he is still in biz. He has his dog hanging around inn the office, which is ok, but he really doesn’t enjoy his job. It’s all about the $. RUDE RUDE if you tick him off he is like Jekel and Hyde. Looks good on the outside. BEWARE

Botox with a Groupon/​Living Social
I had a really good experience, the office is nice, the staff was fine, the dr. was friendly, my appt was fast. The best thing is that my Botox lasted the right length of time and it was a great deal. I would go there again for Botox.
My second visit was the same great experience, this is the only place I will go for dysport/​Botox. He does a great job.

Just an update to Leslie C.‘s comment. Please read my review of Dr. Deweese’s dermal filler procedures. Leslie, I DID NOT receive a consultation from Dr. Deweese, so that is an out and out lie. I bought Iml of restylne for nasiolabial folds at a discount. You tell me I need 2 full syringes of restylane for my nasiolabial folds, because one would not be enough. The average price (as I don’t know your prices) are around 500 – 600 dollars per syringe. You are telling me (please look at my pictures) I would need to 2 full syringes for my nasiolabial folds. Which for a non groupon client would be about $ 1000 dollars or over. That is a joke. As you can see Dr. Deweese has many complaints about his restylane fillers.
You did not hold up to your agreement about consultation and you should admit right there you are wrong. Most importantly your product did NOT work. I don’t understand why this clinic can’t accept there may have been something wrong on their end. I don’t think Dr. Deweese really cares about his cosmetic clients.
However, I would really like to thank Leslie C. for getting back to me and dealing with all the complaints of so many people with poor customer service and restyane/​botox that did not work. You seem like a very nice lady to have to deal with this.
