Loews Regency San Francisco

The Spa at the luxurious Loew’s Regency hotel is phenomenal. I have been to many spa’s both in hotels and that are stand alone businesses, but this spa is truly the best one I have been to based on level of service and pampering, attention to detail and taking that extra step to make your experience really relaxing and personalized. My husband treated me to a manicure & pedicure, massage & facial for a much deserved «me» day for my birthday. We also just had a baby 3 months ago so I was in dire need of a massage after all of the back and shoulder breaking carrying I am doing daily. This spa was truly the perfect place for me. All of the professionals were extremely courteous and knowledgeable when it came to doing things that wouldn’t effect breastfeeding. I was easily able to pump twice since you have your own suite for massages and facials. The ambiance at the spa, as well as inside your own lovely suite is so relaxing and wonderful. Everyone is so warm, welcoming, kind, calm, and sweet at the spa. For example, they ordered me a delicious lunch of my choosing from the hotel’s restaurant since I was going to be there so long. I am so grateful to have had a delicious chicken torta sandwich with fresh fruit rather than a granola bar. :) Regarding the Mani Pedi, I have honestly never had such a perfect manicure (gel) before. I had the Diamond treatment and my skin feels as soft as my baby’s skin (no kidding). Everything was so clean and luxurious. It’s going to be hard going to my neighborhood nail place now! I feel so spoiled in a good way. I had the Relaxation massage and Joy gave me the best massage ever. Her technique, the pressure, and even the aromatherapy scent she used was perfect for me and my formerly aching body. It’s as if she has massage esp. And she was a joy (pun intended) to talk to during the message. Becca gave me a wonderful facial. My face feels so supple, hydrated, and clean. I told her that I felt like I aged these past few months because of the lack of sleep and she knew exactly what to do. The products they use feel and smell so good. Plus, she is an incredible massage therapist too and gives an amazing massage while the different products are setting or absorbing into your skin. At one point I was so relaxed I couldn’t even feel my body. It was just warm, soft blankets, and the sensation from the wonderful massage. I truly feel AMAZING!!! And not having to move in between the treatments is really great. :) At the end, I was surprised with a beautiful chocolate dessert for my birthday that I ate in that warm soft massage bed. AMAZING!!! I truly am so grateful to my hubby, as well as each person at the spa that treated me like a Queen. Thank you, Yen, Joy, Becca, and Jackie! By the way, the warm towel under the neck and around the feet during the message is genius! And thank you for the blanket while I ate lunch in the Tea Room, Becca! So sweet and caring. :) I wish that treatment never ended!

A very convenient location in the Financial District within walking distance (about 8 blocks) to Union Square! We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and the staff was kind enough to upgrade our deluxe city view reservation to a deluxe bay view room (slightly smaller, about 50 square feet, but high up with an amazing view of the Bay Bridge, Alcatraz, Coit Tower, Financial tower and the Golden Gate Bridge)! The room was well appointed and spacious and the bathroom had great amenities. Staff was very attentive and helpful. It rained during most of our visit and the hotel was great about recommending transportation (this is an Über city for sure) and always quick with an umbrella!

Nice and clean. Spacious rooms. Great views! Wonderful service! This is the third and least expensive hotel on our trip up the coast and it has the best service. Very friendly and helpful staff! I am on my honeymoon and each hotel we have stayed at knows this but this is the only one that gave us a beautiful set up in our room upon arrival. Free sparkling wine and delicious sweet treats from chocolate covered strawberries to macaroons. This hotel used to be the mandarin oriental so my only complaint is that our bathroom has not been updated.

Fantastic hotel. Great service, location, and furnishings. Absolutely deserving of five stars. The restaurant: Brasserie S&P — not so much. Mediocre food. Atrocious service. Really awful. To be fair: great cocktails and decent wine list. But, I would NEVER come back to this restaurant. Ever. For the hotel to be so good and the restaurant to be so bad (which probably explains why it is at 10 percent capacity on a Friday night) indicates only one thing: be done with the current manager and chef! No way this restaurant makes it 30 days in SF if not «carried» by this hotel. Such a shame.

This hotel is the epitome of what a 5 star hotel is. We recently stayed there back in October and we couldn’t have made a better choice. The service from every staff member at this hotel is impeccable. They treat you so well here you feel like you were royalty. The hotel is super clean, and the rooms are amazing. They have some of the best views of San Francisco money can buy. We had a room on the 47^th floor that had stellar views of the bay. There are quite a few places that are definitely walking distances from the hotel if you want a bite to eat, or have a drink. It’s in the financial district, so this area is pretty safe.
We ate twice in the hotel restaurant, once for breakfast and the other for dinner during our last night there and it was well worth it. Again, the service at this hotel is the best! I was craving a proper fish and chips before I left San Francisco and didn’t want to venture out too far from the hotel to get it, so the concierge went to see if the chef of the hotel restaurant could make fish and chips for us and he said yes. He made this meal from scratch and it wasn’t even on the menu. Now that is what you call 5 Stars all the way. For a chef to make something for you that wasn’t even on the menu is what you call superb service and they were the some of the best fish and chips I have ever eaten and I lived in England for 5 years, so that is saying a lot. There was one night that I wanted to reheat some leftover pizza from earlier in the day, but didn’t have a microwave in our room, so guess what they did? They offered to warm up the pizza in the restaurant oven for me. I asked for a microwave instead and they brought on up to my room for me to use. Who does that; they do?
Everyone at this hotel is top notch. The best service I have ever seen in a hotel, from the receptionist, to the bell boy, to the concierge, to the security, to the waiters and waitresses, to the chef at the restaurant, everyone was amazing. You even get turn down service. This hotel is a must stay.

Wow, what a fantastic hotel! I called a few days before arriving and the front desk was able to secure a ride with a town car service they use to bring us from the airport to the hotel. It was $ 90 which was billed to the room. The customer service here is top notch. The hubby and I were greeted by name each time we came and went through the lobby. We had a room on the 40^th floor, and had views which were to die for overlooking the Transamerica building, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate bridge!
The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. The rooms were impeccably cleaned with the most friendly cleaning staff. They offered a nightly turndown service and even gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne considering it was our honeymoon!
I took advantage of a massage in the spa one day, which was THE BEST spa experience I’ve ever had. When I arrived they brought me hot tea while I waited, the massage rooms were amazing with private showers if you wanted to shower off after, and they would even change the mood lighting color in the room if you wanted!
We were a short walking distance to the Marketplace, and a longer walk (about 20 – 30 minutes) to Pier 33 which is where you catch the Alcatraz tour, and Pier 39 which is the main Pier where all the restaurants are. We walked back and forth a few times and found if you walk down Battery street (one block down from Sansome) its not hilly at all and is shorter than walking along the waterfront. If you walk down Sansome, you’ll hit a hill.
The Loews also has a customer car which they’ll take you and pick you up locally, but we never used it. We wanted to walk as much as possibly considering we were eating and drinking much more than usual!
What a wonderful experience our stay at the Loews was, it ended much too soon!

I best hotel with outstanding customer service. I will only stay here in the future when visiting SF. The views are great but the people stand out.

We just had an amazing two days here where I put together a two-​day Planning Meeting for work. I was short on time getting it together but Gloria and Grace handled every detail and last minute request I threw at them. Our rooms were outstanding (omg, that view!), and our meeting rooms were elegant and super functional. Our meals were DELICIOUS, which I was sure to share with them since they’re pretty excited about their new chef.
My biggest mistake was not staying an extra night and taking advantage of the spa. I really did feel like royalty the whole stay and never did I have to worry about the details of our program. Gorgeous rooms, impeccable service, super gracious people. I can’t wait to go back.

I’m going to miss the people that I came to know at the. Mandarin Oriental, but the people running the hotel now seem to be every bit on top of running the Regency.

I particularly liked the fact that a card is required to get into the guest floors, a very good idea.
We stayed in our favorite suite high in the hotel and enjoyed our weekend there. The room was very nice; the champagne and roses I ordered were there, as promised. Loved the soaking tub. Ever put in a request for room service, and for it to arrive at an exact time? They did it.
What a place!
I wish them all the success in the world in running the hotel.

I absolutely loved this hotel!!!
The moment I arrived and got out of the taxi I was greeted by my first and last name and attended to right away. I came way before check in time and they already had my room waiting for me.
I stayed in one of their luxury rooms and the view was absolutely amazing! At times I just stood by the windows to admire the view.
You can also walk over to the Ferry Building, Chinatown, catch a ride on the cable cars.
Definitely recommend!

First of all the view from our room was phenomenal (bay view), the room was very clean and modern Complimentary tea upon arrival, cheerful staff and they truly made me feel like home away from home. I love that keys are required for elevator, the staff here is very attentive. I felt safe (perfect for families). Does not feel like the typical commercial hotel and it’s not run down I can tell remodeling has taken place. I felt a little sick and the front desk sent me tea and get well wishes.
I just love this hotel ! Definitely will be back soon :). I hope one day soon they will offer afternoon tea :)).

It really is an impressive place with the rooms occupying floors 38 – 48 so the views of the bay and city are incredible. The room is nice sized, really quite generous for here in the city. I have not tried the restaurant.
