Loehmann’s

I’m completely heartbroken that this store went bankrupt. It’s the only department store I shopped. Always had great prices on quality products. I find myself wearing at least one item everyday that I got here. I had noticed the quality and selection of merchandise had dropped in the 3 – 6 months preceding the closure, but hoped they’d bounce back. Will miss you Loehmann’s! Here’s hoping you make a comeback like the Twinkie!

One of my fav stores in SF. Sadly found out that it was gone. I will totally miss this place as well as its sister store in Chicago. Bye bye! Will Nordstrom Rack replace it? No.

I am still in denial that Loehmann’s is disappearing from my life. This was always the first and often the last stop for shopping for me. They had such great selections + price. I loved the unlimited item open dressing room too. I don’t know where to go after they close!

Good-​bye Loehmann’s. Will miss you. Last day 2÷17÷14.

Update and a correction…
I recently found out Loehmanns as a corporation sadly went bankrupt so the store closing was not due to my assumption it was only this store.
The rest of my review stands — I’ll miss them especially the next time I need a good pair of leather gloves for the winter.

I am going to miss this place with everything in me. The fond memories of shopping trips with the girls, the pop ins on lunch or the quick peeks after a day at the spa will always be near and dear to me.
So sad to see it go.
The store at this point is like a burned over field. Not much to desire at first glance, but when you decide to push up your sleeves and get with you can find a few hidden gems during Loehmann’s last days. The discounts are not very steep on a lot of the women’s clothing and accessories. I spotted a few hand bags at a discount, but since the store is closing I was looking for deeper discounts. I found it in shoes! I snagged two great pair, LAMB and Casadei pumps at 60% off the sale price. I snagged a few other things here and there just because and at the end of the excursion my total came to just over $ 250! I looked at my receipt and my savings was over $ 900. Not too bad for a quick check in after the spa.
I am going to miss you Loehmann’s. There is none other to compare.

It has been quite some time since my mom and i shop here. Its one of those store that sell brand name at discount price. This place is a 4 level store. This place is good for young adults and older adults especially those who loves clothes
The main floor when you first walk in, theres always someone work is working there standing by the door. The main floor is mainly women accessories such as sunglasses, scarves, jewelry, purses, perfumes, shoes, and other stuff. Whenever i check out their shoes, they never have the size on the shoes that i like
The lower level is the men clothes, men accessories, and some luggages. But the men clothes are limited compare the women clothes in the top two levels. I remember the lower level used to have children and babies clothes but they dont anymore.
As for the women clothes on the top 2 levels, you get clothes that are casual, formal, business, sport, intimate, and anything else you can think of.
My mom and i bought so much stuff here that we save over $ 1000. Its because we had an extra 40% coupon that we got in the mail and some of the items had the yellow 40% yellow tag sale other than the discount that this store had offer
Service/​staffs are so so. Price are between $$ or $$$ or $$$$ depending on what items you get. But its a more reasonable prices than most retail stores

I’m a gold member of the VIP club for $ 25/​year, and while I only shop here every other month or so, the savings more than pays for the cost of the membership. I usually avoid the first and second floors (shoes, accessories, and lower end clothing) and head for the third floor «Backroom,» which is where all of the designers are.
Pros: clearance racks with designer items at 50−75% off, current styles, brands such as Rag and Bone, Missoni, D&G, Valentino; never a wait for the dressing room, special savings and birthday discount for members
Cons: designer items are sometimes damaged beyond repair, dressing room is a single large room which not everyone likes, cashiers push the membership if you don’t have one

I used to be a regular Loehmann’s shopper… that was when Loehmann’s had a location in Phoenix. (It since closed). Before that, I was a regular at one of their Atlanta locations, and prior to that, I was a frequent visitor to one of their Detroit locations.
So, on a recent trip to San Francisco, I was super excited to see that there was a Loehmann’s down the street from my hotel. I made it a priority to check it out one evening after work (they are open until 8) and I did see some brand names that I’m a fan of such as Seven, Joe’s, Tahari, Tori Burch, and Theory. Unfortunately, sizes were either picked through or the merchandise had stains from other people that had tried them on. The open area fitting room had a very unfriendly employee working there as well. Oh joy!
After having no luck with women’s clothing, I looked at their shoe section and wasn’t impressed there either. Finally, I checked out the kids clothes… barely anything there.
So, my visit to this Loehmann’s made me miss having a location close to home even less than I did previously… I guess we’re not missing out on much. Loehmann’s has gone downhill! And I didn’t spend any money there either. So while I’ll rate this Loehmann’s just two stars, it was kind of a win-​win in the end for me! I have more money in my wallet to spend elsewhere.
I’d only suggest going here if you’re feeling patient and up for picking through a lot of clothes to find a bargain.

Designer ties for $ 19.99? Sold! Now if only they carried Jerry Garcia ties I’d be set.
Noël M. kept bragging about this place and after my recent visit I can see why – serious bargains and an impressive selection of merchandise.
My only gripe is that the men’s section seems small in comparison to the lady’s section.

I’m not enough of a label whore to shop here and like it that much.
The handbags are too matronly and the discounts aren’t good enough on the stuff I do like, but they are useful for carrying tons of discounted Hue tights. If you wear tights as often as I do, Hue is the best. Don’t even bother with anything else. Go straight for Hue.

Prior to this visit my association began and ended with the TV series, The Nanny.

There are a ton of great finds here but beware, most items are final sale. If you change your mind, you’re out of luck. This location could warrant another star if it weren’t for the pushy, rude cashier. She demanded that I get the frequent buyers card and was even arguing with me about it. The line waiting behind me were also getting irritated with her. It got to the point I almost left all my intended purchases and walked out. I’ll go back but if I receive the same level of service, I’m outta there.

Pretty good materials. I am no expert but I feel strongly about products. Bargains are important. It is good to find savings. Pero it is another thing to purchase poorly because the price is low. Is no benefit to you. Or to anyone. Except the store and that is OK I take no offense. But on another hand it is not right. You can not accept this if is wrong in your heart to take the deal. It is deal, or it is no deal. Sometimes no deal is
the best of deals my friends. I say No Deal to you. No.

I’m never likely to find anything I’m after here. The layout and feel of the store just isn’t conducive to me wanting to spend time inside.
This is especially true of the men’s collection in the basement. Not only is the selection limited and understandable why there are there, it’s just so depressing.
There are plenty of other places better to spend some hard earned $$$.

I think the SF one is inundated by fashionable shoppers so all the good stuff is gone quickly! It’s hit or miss here. I’ve been impressed with the handbag selection here — Longchamp (a wide arrange of colors in past seasons) and vintage Chanel and Hermes in the display counters. Nice to look at — but not to buy! The backroom on the top floor and the shoes are the biggest draws. Also, they have quite a few Wacoal and Natori — more than the one in Sunnyvale who has mostly Calvin Klein, DKNY, etc.

So on my trip to SF this time I swear I was going to go all out and find everything that I needed for fall coming back. I wanted to grab some new boots, a few cute dresses and just have a whole new wardrobe. Strolling around I went into Lehmann’s and found a few things that I thought were pretty good buys. If you have never been to this it is almost like a higher end TJMaxx, Ross or Burlington store.
They sell name brands such as D and G, Channel, Seven Jeans, Chole and many more. The store is broken up to the first floor as handbags, jewelry, hair products, shoes, and sunglasses. I spent more time in this area I believe then the dresses and the clothes.
Let’s just say I left emptied handed but it wasn’t because I wanted to. I had a few items that I really wanted to buy but sadly I spent way too much on this trip and had to hold back. I would like to say that this store has a lot of different items and i’m sure many people will be very satisfied on the discounts ! Happy hunting.

Uhh I think I come here like once a week on average. Lol. they get new inventory quite often, not to mention COUPONS which stack with the gold membership. Coupons every 10 days or so! Evil.
(Yes I have the $ 25 membership. trust me, if you come multiple times a year or even make one purchase of $ 250, it will be worth it)
This place is not too messy (except the clearance section sometimes)
I’ve gotten shoes, apparel, handbags here. They have a bunch of stuff at awesome prices. I’ve seen the same shoes at DSW for double of what I’ve paid many times. Puahahha!

No te asustes con los precios de los bolsos de la entrada. Hay verdaderos chollos en el interior en calzado, gafas y ropa aunque como en todo Outlet, hay que rebuscar. Todo es de muy buena calidad y de buenas marcas. De los mejores Outlets en la ciudad, pero no el más barato.

Loehmann’s and I have a somewhat love/​hate relationship.
Most of the time, it’s great. Loehmann’s always presents me with lots of pretty clothes at great discounts. Several times, I’ve kicked myself for missing an event on RueLaLa only to find the same pair of shoes that I’ve been coveting at Loehmann’s — at the same discounted price! I love!
Sometimes, I’ll find an item in the Back Room that is to die for… like a perfectly constructed black and white Valentino jacket… that’s not my size!
Do I…
1) lose 20 lbs to fit into the coveted jacket?
2) walk away with a defeated spirit about said jacket and lament?
That’s the part of the relationship that I hate. Despite these let downs, I still love this store. It’s clean, organized, not crowded, and there’s lots of great discounted items to be found.

Loehmann’s can be even more awesome than Nordstrom Rack when it comes to scoring high end labels at affordable prices. I like to set aside days off when shopping here — or several hours at least — to really have ample time to scour the racks. It’s an exercise in patience at times, but the hunt often brings great rewards.
I’ve shopped at Loehmann’s for years… I remember accompanying my mom as a little girl and loving to watch all the ladies in the communal fitting room trying on clothes. I love the fact that it still works that way… you don’t have to wait for a dressing room stall — they do have the option though if you’re particularly modest — just walk into the fitting room area, find a space and start trying outfits.
This location doesn’t have the fabulous array of designers and variety that let’s say, the one in Los Angeles has — but it’s still worthy of scavenging through… I’ve come away with many a good deal ranging from clothing, to bags, to jewelry and even hair styling products! Shop with a friend, some spare time, and have fun!

Can get some killa designer threads but you have to be picky and not seduced by the low prices or you’ll end of with something that doesn’t fit or look right. Men’s dept in the basement so we won’t be bothered by all the ladies shopping upstairs.
