I came to Jamie Lieber when my PT exercises for hip pain were not working anymore. Jamie
greatly reduced the pain in my hip and back and for that I am eternally grateful. As other
reviews note, Jamie is dedicated, professional, kind, and intuitive. I feel calmer just walking
into her office.

Another overdue review for the amazing Jamie Lieber. Jamie is intelligent, professional, nurturing and relatable and makes me feel that her time dedicated to my health is the most important thing in her day! I am sure each patient feels this way due to Jamie’s kindness and effectiveness. She’s skilled and highly ethical. I have tinnitus from a benign tumor and, Jamie was upfront in letting me know that if I didn’t see results in 2 – 3 sessions, acupuncture was not likely to make a significant difference. While this was the case, I felt my overall health and sense of well being improved with Jamie’s gentle touch.

My health issues and concerns range from digestion, anxiety, nervous system issues, muscle pains and sports injuries. As someone who is in constant pain from health issues and extreme stressors, I can truly say Dr. Lieber is an amazing acupuncturist, doctor and even therapist.
I have been seeing Dr. Lieber for about a year and a half now– She is always very attentive, insightful and thorough. Her knowledge is endless and she always goes above and beyond the basic treatment and gives a more in depth care. She is great for nutrition, lifestyle advice, Chinese medicine and supportive insight for both mental and physical health.
Her treatments have improved my health in countless ways and have helped prevent more extreme procedures, even helped me postpone, hopefully prevent, invasive surgery (much appreciated!) My health, mood and quality of life have greatly improved and I owe it to her. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone in need of physical, mental or emotional relief and assistance. I cannot thank her enough!

This is a long overdue review for the extraordinary Jamie Lieber based on first-​time experiences with acupuncture for general back and leg pain. Jamie is intuitive, skilled, gracious, and an excellent listener. She has a wonderful sense of humor and will make you feel better and healthier and in tune with your body in no time. I highly recommend her.

Jamie is patient, intuitive and easy going. She confidently assisted me in working through some challenging issues. The space, although called a clinic, is intimate and feels more like a home. if you are new to acupuncture, or afraid of needles like I am, I recommend Jamie because she has a gentle touch and establishes rapport and trust quickly and easily. I am grateful for her service.

I found Jamie for help with anxiety (during the time my therapist went on maternity leave). Even though though my therapist is back, I still continue with Jamie! She has a lovely demeaner and clearly cares about my well being. Her accupressure is divine. I wish I had her in my back pocket for that alone. Jamie inserts needles and let’s you relax in very calm surroundings. I often catch myself snoring and never want to leave the cozy warmed table. FYI: Parking is surprisingly easy. Enjoy!

Amongst going to her regularly for other life occurences, I woke up with a frozen shoulder one morning and unable to move my head and arm. She got me in last minute; she cupped me, «bled» me, and needled me. All whilst giving explanations of why, how, what each area meant and related to within the body. By the end of the day, I could move, and felt so much better.
I trust her and would recommend her to anyone!

I’ve been going to Jamie for the last couple of months on a herniated disc, which led to surgery. She’s a really wonderful person, and I went to her when I read the reviews on Unilocal.She’s all of the things that people have posted and more. Not only does she know so much about acupuncture and the art of treatment, but she’s a genuine person that cares about your health and wellbeing.
I look forward to the massage that she’ll start with, then the heat /​needles, and just being able to relax and focus on my mental state for the time I’m in her office.
She’s been able to help me through so much pain over the last couple of months, and I can only attribute my quick healing to the work she’s been doing with me. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, I call her my miracle worker :).

I saw a bloomspot deal, checked the Unilocal ratings and decided to try it out. Jamie gave us the choice of acupuncture or massage. Since I still need to work on myself a little bit before I’m OK with the idea of sticking needles in my body for fun anywhere that’s not the 16^th street BART station, I chose the massage.
Jamie’s office is very inviting and the rooms are pleasant although the building itself is pretty old and unattractive from outside.
Jamie asked if there’s a particular area she should focus on and then got to work. She used a combination of Tui Na, Thai Massage and Shiatsu. It was possibly the best massage I’ve ever had. She found all the knots in my muscles and kneaded them away. It was so relaxing I think I even fell asleep at some point.
I would go back. I might even venture and try some needle work.

Sitting at a computer all day, I tend to hunch my shoulders and look like a mad woman by the time I go home. And while I’m not a huge fan of having random people touch me, Jamie’s different and that speaks volumes about her professionalism, demeanor, and quality. I enjoy Jamie’s care and refreshing nature. And her massage techniques have really helped me to focus on where I’m holding all of my stress and how to «let go,» so to speak. When I’m in need of a good shiatsu – mixed with a little Thai – massage, Jamie’s the person for me.

I always thought I was nearly impervious to pain & illness, except for the occasional common cold until last summer (2011). For about 2.5 months I found my self very ill without diagnosis and with vicious symptoms, I was debilitated and utterly miserable. Mundane tasks felt like climbing peaks. After 2months of being completely out of commission, Dr’s visits, unnecessary testing and ingestion of various Prescription Medication I decided to find another path to restore my health, mostly out of desperation.
I feel blessed for having Jamie for my very first treatment she was extremely thorough and asked to go over ALL my symptoms. She spent about 10 times as much time with me than all the Doctors/​Specialists I saw combined. I told her my concerns and she carefully examined and went over her treatment plan. I felt her genuine desire to help and heal! Near instantaneous I felt relief from some of my symptoms. The combination of Acupuncture and herbs eventually rid me of all ailments!!! Jamie goes above and beyond the call of duty. She has shared invaluable wisdom on general health and healing. Words cannot convey how grateful I am!

After a year of escalating and alarming arthritis pain in my finger joints, (using supplements, massage and support devices to no avail), I tried, with some skepticism, Jamie’s acupuncture treatments. With just two visits in her wonderfully relaxing medical suite, I noticed an improvement. After 5 treatments the swelling, inability to close my fingers and pain and weakness went away. What’s more remarkable is that for over two years my fingers remain flexible and I only visit as needed if I overdo gardening or other strenuous work with my hands. This line of treatment appears to keep my tendency towards arthritis at bay.
I must elaborate on the process of working with Jamie. A visit to her beautiful, Asian themed, bamboo floored oasis includes a thorough check-​in each time to see if we can use the acupuncture visit for multiple lines of treatment– reduce my stress, increase energy, address other areas of pain. Jamie has a manner about her that is reassuring, highly professional, while being very sweet and nurturing (this woman knows her stuff having studied in China and been in the profession for many years). She tops it off with suggestions on diet and will share her expertise in effective herbal treatments as well. She is generous with her time in her serene space, so that you feel more like you visited a spa than rushed through a sterile clinic space. She gets my thumbs up, and my pinkies especially.

Jamie totally rocks! I usually don’t like to get massages because they’ve often left me in more pain, than bliss, in the past. But a massage with Jamie has convinced me that now I can continue to get them. Her massage was absolutely perfect! It was the perfect combination of pressure and stretching, and she got into the tight areas very gently and comfortably. The massage she did on my face was to die for! I did not want to leave! Beyond her awesome massage abilities, I’ve also had several acupuncture treatments with Jamie and they are equally as awesome. She is wonderful person, super easy-​going and friendly and she has a beautiful, calming energy that makes you want to have healing from her. I highly recommend her for either acupuncture or massage. She’s awesome!

I found out about Jaime through Gilt City and I am so grateful I did because she not only truly cared about my problems, but was able to help ease the pain in my neck and upper back a lot. Initially, she went over my answers to her questionaire, which I highly recommend completing before the appointment, and wrote down notes that were important for her to keep in mind for future appointments.
She asked me about my pain, problems, stress, work, social activities, etc. — it was as if she were providing me a free therapy session. Based on my lifestyle, she recommended a breathing technique that will help me sleep better and calm down during moments of high stress and anxiety — this really helps! I need more sleep and it’s nice to know about these breathing techniques to help me get in the habit since I’m always all over the place with work, grad school, charity events, volunteering, social life, etc.
She massaged my neck and back to get a better feel of where I was experiencing pain, and then went onto accupuncture and cupping. It was my first time trying cupping and that felt several big marks, but that’s normal — it’ll fade away. The accupuncture seemed to really help my stiff neck and upper back pain go away almost immediately. She also gave me two «ear seeds» which are temporary stickers with two pins that I push on when I’m continuing to feel pain in my back. This helped for the next few hours before I went to sleep. I can tell Jaime really cares for her clients and enjoys what she does. I definitely recommend her accupuncture services to my friends and of course, all you Unilocalers!

Jamie is a miracle worker. Having dealt with serious back pain for over a year, she figured out a way to make my life pain-​free!

I have used Jamie on and off for a year. Two areas where I want to note her help:
Season Asthma: every year from August to October I am out of commission. This year with Jamie’s treatment I was able to minimize the asthma impact and continue my regular workout routine.
Next: I had a severe ankle sprain, in which my whole leg was bruised. The treatment helped reduce the swelling and increased my time to recovery (walking on it). More importantly do to my limited ability to get walk, she came to my house to provide treatment.

I feel I cannot say enough wonderful things about Jamie as an acupuncturist, healthcare provider, healer, and human being
I started going to see Jamie about a year and a half ago for aches, pains, and palpitations related to stress and anxiety. Being a nurse and having circulated the healthcare industry for quite some time, I’ve seen my share of clinicians and providers and Jamie is definitely someone special.
The thing I love most about going to see Jamie is that I never feel rushed and I always feel heard. I don’t get the feeling that I’m simply one of her appointments that day. She listens, explores ideas and options, educates, and above all is compassionate and respectful. She’s definitely someone who I know has my best interest at heart, is sensitive to my needs, and works at my comfort level towards a realistic goal.
I have chronic back pain from two previous falls, a knee injury from work, and sciatic pain as well. I’d be lying if I said they have all miraculously disappeared, but I do go days/​weeks without even noticing them now. In addition to the acupuncture, she’s shown me stretches I can do at home to help relieve some of the muscle tension and pain, which has really helped. She follows up with your progress and adjusts the treatment plan accordingly. I am so thankful I found her and I can go on and on… So I’ll just wrap this up by saying (emphatically) that she’s someone you really have to meet for yourself!

I have known Jamie since June of 2008. She fixed my heal pain last year. There are five people at the company I work at that continue to go to Jaimie for massage. She even makes house calls!
I continue to schedule massage treatments. There is no reason to use anyone else! You should really give her a call. Thanks Jamie!
