History

Established in 1998.

Born and raised in Burlingame, California, Bob Regan has been building new homes, new high end custom buildings and upgrading traditional Bay Area homes for over 25 years.

Bob started Hammer Building in order to take advantage of a great central location and wealth of experience.

Jane Regan managed worldwide software deployments for Fortune 500 companies, and now leads the design team. Together Jane & Bob have developed extensive processes to ensure that everything is in place before any work begins.

All HB Building and Design employees adhere to clearly defined best-​practices. You can be assured that the correct materials have been ordered, checked, and delivered to your site. Plans ensure that all measurements match the space perfectly. All materials are cleared up and supplies put away daily. Random site inspections are performed regularly to ensure that the guidelines are being met.

An Interior Designer specializing in beautiful bath + kitchen design for people Aging in Place, and those looking to Design It Green.

I thrive on providing for the care and safety of others through beautiful affordable design. Former techy at Symantec, then Citrix Systems Engineer, I became Director of Technical Business Development. In 1999 we designed + built a unique home in Montara that features many universal design characteristics. I then left tech for UCSC + Canada Col to study Design. Many living spaces I designed are for people who are experiencing a changing lifestyle, from Aging in Place to more progressive issues.

Desired to improve the lives of individuals with a co that values integrity, craftsmanship + customer satisfaction. Certified for Design for Aging in Place, a member of ASID, NKBA, BBB, activities, including volunteer work for Senior Coastsiders of Half Moon Bay, & the Conservatory of Music; singing + performing with the SFLyric Chorus complete my life.

Yolanda is right by saying there are 2 sides of a story and my side is that I would not recommend HB due to their inaccurate estimates, not taking responsibility for their mistakes, lack of communication and unsatisfactory work. It’s not a coinsidence that they received two 5 star reviews and responded to my review on the same day, 10÷6÷2010. My review is honest and if I was looking to hire HB I would want to know.

Big or small jobs are no problem for them. When my fence blew down in the last storm, they were over in a flash to repair and mend it. I really needed them and they were there for me. And I’ve seen, first hand several jobs that they have done. Beautiful work! Jane has a real understanding of design, but most importantly, how to get the job done and what the costs will be. She is a real right brain/​left brain sort of person.
