I rarely give 5 stars, but coming from a person who enjoys quantity and is strict on following nutritious macro diets, this place has it all. Their salads are incredible, not only in quantity and quality(steak and chicken are great quality and hardly any fat) but their prices are also very affordable! Sandwiches are also incredible! One of the cheapest and most delicious places for lunch that I’ve had in the financial district and I eat out every day.

I absolutely love their strawberry, banana, nonfat yogurt smoothie! Sandwiches and salads are really good, too! Great for a quick lunch in the FiDi whether you get it to go or eat there. Gets pretty packed around lunchtime, so get there before noon if you don’t want to wait in a long line.

I frequent this spot for the combo special of a salad and ravioli with meat bolognaise sauce. I always upgrade the salad to the beet salad for an extra dollar. The dressing on the beet salad is exceptional. I really like that the salad is plentiful with fresh toppings and they always get my order correct. The cost of 11 bucks with tax is ok. The only complaint I have is that I found a long red hair in my pasta dish one time. The server with the red hair in a long ponytail(yes she has dyed red hair) should put her hair in a bun. She is always slinging her hair around the food and I find that pretty disgusting! That is my only complaint. So I avoid her as my server.

This is the place for a great salad; all fresh ingredients and a wonderful selection. The entire staff is so friendly and they all make you feel right at home!

This is a nice tucked away café in the financial district that is right next to an office I was working at. It was the easiest place for me to get to as this is a visit and not my usual office I work at. The food was good, the service was fast but the prices were high, even for SF standards. Not only that but the food was made and packaged sloppy, the sandwich fell apart as soon as I opened the paper it was in. The smoothies were really good so if you are looking for good dairy free fruit smoothies I would grab them here. The inside and outside are really nice, they have wifi and the noise level is great for concentrating on work if you need to be out of the office for a few minutes.

I love this place! I usually come in for a breakfast burrito, unless I’m too late and miss the breakfast window. This location is great because I only get potatoes and salsa in my tortilla, they always remember my order and make some fun small talk while preparing. I wish I could have my burrito everyday!

Food and service both consistently solid. Good diverse menu for both breakfast and lunch with good prices. Definitely the best breakfast spot around. I’ve been going here for years and have fairly high standards to earn repeat business. I’ll continue to go here a few times a week.

For $ 10.01, my small soup wasn’t even fully filled and the half sandwich was so sloppily made with a piece of lettuce, a piece of tomato, and a dollop of tuna and melted cheese. Never coming back, prices keep on going up and portion down. It’s been a good run.

I am SO disappointed in this place. I’ve been here a couple times in the past few weeks due to the Montgomery Street location being closed for renovations. This place does not compare. My standard is a bacon breakfast burrito. The few times I have gotten this here, the tortillas has been barely half full, and the burrito has come out downright COLD. This is despite a 15 – 20 minute wait for a single burrito. After giving it a couple chances, I will not be back to this location. Guess I will have to wait for my breakfast burrito fix until the Montgomery location is back and running.

Not as good as it’s sister restaurant down the street. It has the same menu(sandwiches, salads, soup) and all of them are pretty much the same as you’ll find on the Montgomery version. That said, service is slower, and the line-up to place an order doesn’t make any sense* so it’s a bit confusing. You walk in, and there are lots of people waiting for their orders to be completed but you need to walk past them to get in line. At Montgomery, there are also people waiting for food, but the line is clearly marked. Additionally, the food is served much faster at Montgomery so the number of people waiting is much lower. If you want a salad, and you work in the area, this is a good place to go. But keep an eye out — I bought a large, but the first time I ordered it was only partially full, as opposed to Montgomery where food is spilling out even if I get a small.** * — you walk in to the line next to the cash register, but there’s no sign indicating that so people line up to the right of the barrier AND at the exit of the line so you get two lines to place orders and no one knows who’s in line next. ** — keep in mind that I go to the Montgomery version of Café Venue pretty much every day, and get the same salad every day. So I’m particularly attuned to the chop chop look and feel. Also, I probably should get a burrito once in a while for lunch or something.

ENVIRONMENT Tucked away in an alley, this place has indoor and outdoor seating and is excellent for lunch. In fact, the outdoor seating is IN the alley, which I like. MENU Lots of fresh and organic options including ingredients, juices, salads, smoothies, etc. JUICE The grapefruit is squeezed right in front of you which is awesome.

Could live off their breakfast burritos! They are so good and the price is reasonable since the burritos fill you up.

I’ve been to a few different Café Venue locations around the city and each one has it’s own appeal. They are known for their breakfast burritos, since they are quick easy and made to order. A fun fact that I wouldn’t have known without talking with one of the owners, is each Café Venue location makes their own salsa, which makes up a lot of the flavors of the burritos. This location, I believe bakes the tomatoes as part of the salsa recipe, which presents nice, light smokey flavor, and complements the burritos. Majority of the time when I walk in, the staff is welcoming and chatty, but that all depends on how busy they are. Jasmine, the onsite manager, is super sweat and has her staff well trained. Whenever people ask me where is good breakfast place, this is always the number one on my list. Thanks for the great service!!!

Since La Boulange closed, I needed to resume my breakfast burritos from Café Venue. That’s the best thing there — breakfast burrito. I will say the cost of adding avocado is a minor crime so I pass on avocado. As someone who has to try(operative word) to eat clean, I do love that they have a low carb breakfast burrito so I feel less guilty about getting food there. Stand in line. Order. Wait. Again, straight forward. Clean establishment with sometimes, exciting 90s music in the morning. Will I go back, yes. It’s close to my office and on the way to work. The people that work there are all friendly and the menu is straight forward, not a whole lot of variety to overwhelm but nothing you probably can’t find elsewhere either. Again, staff is nice and friendly so they always get a tip from me. Thanks because I’m a grouch before coffee. There’s a lot of options in SF for food in the FiDi. Keep your options open.

Update– I’ve been noticing the service has been deteriorating. The staff just does not smile when they sometimes acknowledge you(which is hit or miss itself) or any time during the ordering process. Food good but not good enough with lackluster service. Solid place for lunch in FiDi. fresh food, friendly staff and competitive prices.

Café Venue is a great FiDi lunch spot. I get the Chop Chop salad with chicken and swap out the default dressing with the peanut sauce. It’s delicious and quite filling for a salad — it’s all that chicken, avocado, and bread! I think the serving sizes are pretty generous and I don’t feel like I’m eating a bunch of lettuce. So far, I’ve only used the online order system and have found it to be very reliable!

Not much to say about this place other than its just another slightly overpriced lunch spot in FiDi. I ordered the half sandwich and green salad combo which was about $ 10. My club sandwich was decent but it was really a half sandwich which was a bit small for me. The salad was plentiful but wasn’t anything special. I can’t help but compare this place to Andersen Bakery which is just down the way. They also offer a sandwich and salad combo for about the same price but they give a more generous sandwich. The salads and price are pretty similar. I’ll probably try this place again but my combo lunch is coming from Andersen’s.

Café is a good find in the midst of crowded FiDi coffee shops. Come here for great smoothies(dairy-free too) and real, work-able WiFi! Worked here for about 2 hours on a Monday, during lunch. Noticed a long line form at lunch, but move quickly. I would come here again to work, because of how few people sit down, it keeps the place fairly clean and quiet for a coffee spot.
