Just moved from Newport to San Diego! This place beats any nail salon I’ve been to in Newport, and the prices here are great as well! Tina did an excellent job on my nails, the shape, color, everything! I’m so glad a found this place! I will definitely be back!

After a couple disappointing pedi visits to my current salon I decided to try someplace new. I saw all the positive reviews on TJ Nails and thought I’d give it a try. So glad I did! I went around 12:30 on a Thursday so it was just me and one other client. I’m sorry I didn’t get the name of my tech but she did a great job. Super friendly and the foot/​leg massage was divine! I chose the basic pedi for my first visit and am thrilled I got such a nice pedi for — are you ready — $ 17! What!!! I will definitely be going back :)

This salon is a great find — they are very good about making sure the salon follows procedures to ensure cleanliness and all of the employees are very friendly. I was the only one in the salon when I came in for a fill and Tina did a wonderful job at shaping them and making sure I was happy with the end result. I will definitely be back.

Yesterday I had a HORRIBLE experience at Mingle Nails. So I looked at other nail shops in the area and TJ Nails was #1 on the list and it had 5 stars and good comments. So I decided to give them a try. The service is EXCELLENT!!! It has been a night and day experience between the two, and I’m so happy I gave TJ a try. Now I can go on vacation with my husband with beautiful nails.

First time here today and I’m pleased with my nails and the service I received :) was greeted and given a chilled water bottle right as I entered… Which I thought was awesome! I had Julie do my nails and she took her time and did a great job. Love that it doesn’t smell like a nail salon in here! The owners and everyone here was sweet. Will be back again!

I’ve never felt the need to review a place before, but the experience was absolutely wonderful! The owner and her staff were very kind, polite, and considerate to all the customers that came in. They were also very accommodating to different requests. I highly recommend this shop and will definitely be coming again!

This salon is really a diamond in a haystack. Although the location can be tricky, the experience is worth the drive.
The technicians are friendly and welcoming. I tend to be very quiet and to myself while getting my nails done and they definitely respect it.
The space is clean and the ocean breeze really takes away from the typical nail salon smell.
The price is great and as a person who shops around for nail salons, I really believe 5 stars from my first visit is a reflection of who they are.
I will be back (possibly today)!
BTW– I receive gel manicures bi-​weekly and I am very particular about location, type of service, color/​brand selection.

This place is absolutely amazing!!! Tina & Julie are awesome at what they do! Anytime I come there’s usually no wait. As soon as they get you in a chair they provide you with a water bottle. They also make it a point to learn their repeat customers names. I get most of my nail designs off of pinterest, and they’re able to duplicate it with ease. T&J Nails will be my go to spot as long as I live in the point loma area!

I’ve been searching for a place that can do natural nude nails. They’ve mastered it. I will say that this shop has a group of perfectionists. I have never been disappointed. Whether you have a wedding, prom, or just feel like being pampered check them out. Even includes a hand massage with my full set. Tj nail spa is definitely competition.

I came to San Diego for vacation and figured I’d get a Pedicure. Wrong idea to come here. They were super slow, spoke limited English and when i asked for a design they could not do so. It wasn’t until after they messed mt Pedicure up 15 minutes in did they admit they cannot do designs. They were nice but my pedicure looked very sloppy. Would not recommend…

This place is GREAT! I love the fact that they are professional and VERY clean. Also they take the time to make sure all the calluses are off before they continue and by adding scrubs and paraffin make the experience perfect. Did not feel rushed or uncomfortable glad I found this place go!!:)
