The Spa at Paradise Point

Hands down best deep tissue massage ever. And I get them regularly. So impressed. Recommend Michelle– massage therapist. The facility is nice and had a great experience. They add on a 20% gratuity yes (and this is told up front) but you have the option to go up or down on that.

My daughter got married on Sunday and she, her bridesmaids and I had our hair and make up done at the Spa at Paradise Point. We were very pleased with the facility and the results. Manny, Jessica and Katina did a great job!

I took my girlfriend there for a «spa day.» Michelle was my massage therapist and she did an awesome job. I had the Mainland Massage.
Suggested improvements:
If they advertise you can relax and snack on fruit offered at the spa, it shouldn’t just be a bowl of apples, especially considering the costs of the services. They should add some variety – fruits that people get excited about (OR simply advertise that there are «apples» to snack on).
When I I was planning the spa day, I Googled «eco-​friendly spas San Diego.» The first one that came up was Paradise Point and they had a long list of green practices:
, including that they are an official partner of Surfrider. The list looked impressive and I picked them because I want to support responsible businesses. However, I was quite disappointed by the huge number of single-​use plastic containers (mostly cups and tiny water bottles) in the spa and the pool/​bar. I didn’t stay at the hotel itself so maybe I didn’t get enough of a chance to be «wowed» but I didn’t really see eco-​friendly practices so that was disappointing. There’s a lot of room for improvement there based on the experience I had.

We had a staycation this weekend at paradise point. My fiancé has a very physical job so I wanted to secretly set him up for his first massage. We arrived at the spa on Friday night at 645 and the desk staff was fantastic and kind and led us to the lockers room and waiting area. We had a couples massage with Lauren and Andrea. They were wonderful and he and I both enjoyed it so much. It was relaxing and invigorating. Great customer service. We look forward to our next massage there with Andrea and Lauren! Thanks so much!

A little on the pricey side (actual alot on the pricey side) but it is san diego on the bay so to be expected! But i love the view and the service!

Wonderful spa on such a beautiful location in Mission Bay. I live close by and come here once or twice a year. I have had facials and the Island Scrub!!! So lovely. My only suggestion would be to put some muffins or nuts or something out to nosh on for guests besides a fruit bowl. That’s all.

I had my bachelorette party here last weekend and we had such a great time! Glorianna put together all of our spa reservations in the same time frame so we could hang our by the pool all afternoon and she let my maid of honor have all the girls spilt my services on their separate cards. So nice!
Kaylee was my massage therapist and she was wonderful! I have been training for a half marathon and had a decent amount of pain in my hamstring area. Kaylee gave special attention to my right leg and it instantly felt better. 24 hours later — all the pain was gone. She’s awesome!
I can’t wait to come back to this spa. Everything was beautiful — the pool, locker room, the relaxation room. We had so much fun!

Came here for a relaxing spa day with a bride-​to-​be, her first time at a spa and this was just what she needed! The resort is beautiful and tons of amenities. We all booked Mainland 50 minute massages and spent the rest of the afternoon poolside. The whole staff were so great, even calling shuttles for us to take us around the resort and to the «adults only» pool. We were here on Valentine’s Day and surprised the spa actually didn’t feel too crowded or busy. Side note, there’s also a super private jacuzzi you can reserve if you’re looking for romance — champagne, rose petals, the works! Take notes, gentlemen! :)

Had the island breeze massage with body scrub. It was great. Steam room and other areas very relaxing and nicely decorated. Would go again.

My husband booked a babymoon package for me, which included a prenatal massage and a mani/​pedi. I was greeted by Mary, who showed me around. She was so friendly and welcoming! The facility is beautiful and clean. I used the women’s shower area before I had my services. Everything was well stocked. My massage was with Alicia, she was calming and attentive. My massage was amazing! Next was my mani/​pedi with Michele. She was fantastic! She’s so friendly and took such good care of my nails! After all my services, I loved the sugar scrub so much that I purchased that and some body butter. They custom make it for you right there and they have great scents to choose from! Thank you for my day of pampering! I will definitely be going back next time I’m in town!

1^st time here getting a massage and using the Other Spa amenities, Michelle was excellent plus the Sauna room (dry or steam) are perfect way to wind down. I live 5 minutes up the road and this is the perfect place to Pamper yourself! Will def return!

Be cautious. This spa ran my card through three time for a total in excess of 1500. But my card in suspension for fraud, while on vacation. How does that happen with one swipe.

The massage, oh GOD THE MASSAGE. Probably the best massage I’ve had in my life. And 50 minutes was plenty. Afterwards, I sat for a bit in the sauna to sweat out whatever I had in my skin from the San Diego humidity. The eucalyptus steam room lacked though as it mostly just smelled like moldy bathwater. The showers are really nice though and very clean.
The waiting area in the spa is lovely, they have lemon water and fruit and coffee for guests of the spa.
I also got a pedicure while I was here. I debated canceling the massage and just getting the pedicure, but I’m SO glad I didn’t cancel because that’s why this review is a 4-​star instead of a 1-​star. The pedicure was lackluster. The chairs are super uncomfortable and only fit for people that are under 5 feet tall (I’m just 5ft 6, so I’m not a mammoth sized girl) and maybe I’m spoiled by Texas spas, but the chairs weren’t massaging chairs either. It just felt really cramped. I ended up hitting the water hose with my foot and water shot STRAIGHT up my robe. My pedicure lady was a little awkward, and it just wasn’t that good. I didn’t realize I sprang for the upgraded pedicure too which surprised me to find my bill for JUST the pedicure was $ 75. She even walked out in the middle of my pedicure for 15 minutes! Then I only got one coat on my toes and you can’t even tell they are painted. UGH. Would never go back for the pedicure… but seriously, that massage. Go for the massage and opt out of the pedicure.

Little late with this review but back in Sept 2013 — Sam was fantastic. Had a brief spa afternoon with a friend. Had lunch ordered, little cabana area to our selves and the treatments were fantastic. But overall Sam was so happy, knowledgeable and willing to go over the top to pamper. KUDOS Sam!

They booked our appointment on the wrong month! And all they can say is sorry. We drove from LA and they just screwed or schedule for the day :(

My husband and I went here for our wedding anniversary. I had purchased the couple’s massage and it was AMAZING considering it was my first time ever getting one. The staff really makes you feel comfortable, relaxed and special! I had the hot stone massage and the husband got the deep tissue.
To make the experience super romantic and special, we even rented out the private courtyard for a couple of hours. Strawberries and champagne were waiting for us and the jacuzzi was surrounded with rose pedals.
If you’re looking for a romantic relaxing time with your significant other, I highly recommend booking an appointment.
Talk about money well spent! We will definitely be coming back. =)

Stayed at paradise point in which the spa is located. Had a deal for a deep tissue for 100 I believe it was. Anywho, couldn’t have been more pleased! Pressure points were taken care of. Relaxing and soothing music being played as your getting your massage. I believe I had Terry. Hands worked like magic. You also get to use the sauna and steam room perfect to relax your body

In need of some R&R and just a massage won’t cut it, then this is where you need to go. It’s on the pricey side, but you get top notch service. I had a lovely prenatal massage that was relaxing and serene. Their relaxation area is comfortable, as is the locker room, and you get to use the pool if you want before or after your service. Parking was convenient and free.

I was treated to a Mainland massage here by my awesome brother and sister in law for my birthday and can absolutely recommend the spa services! Even in the midst of summer, the spa wasn’t overcrowded, though the actual resort is super slammed with happy vacationers.
TIP: Pack your patience to find parking. There are two parking lots on the left side, and parking along the street, but do not pass up any available curb parking. I had to park shark and still didn’t find anything close.
However, it ended up a happy situation: I parked at the tennis court and had to hoof it to the spa, but I spied some absolutely GORGEOUS views along my walk. I didn’t mind as I had arrived early to take advantage of the spa amenities.
The Spa is located to the left of the Market — literally on it’s corner. Enter into the little spa lobby to check in. Lovely receptionist set the whole relaxed mood and also explained that they include a 20% gratuity into the bill for convenience.
When you walk into the services area, there are a couple of bungalows for services — making me feel like I was on Fantasy Island.
The spa had just a few clients, so I literally had the luxurious changing room, showers (one was huge and could accommodate a wheelchair) and sauna TO MYSELF! Talk about private. I was even alone in the the relaxation room for awhile. The hot vanilla extract tea was delightful.
My actual massage was perfect as well. I was in the couple’s room which was gorgeously decorated. The massage table had some beautiful silk covers and I loved that the massage table was heated. David offered me the lemongrass scented massage oil — light and not overpowering — and expertly massaged my trouble areas. I was in heaven. And while he was friendly, i appreciated that he didn’t overly-​chat as I was in island mode. Post treatment, David greeted me with a bottled water and even had some professional tips for me for my next massage.
Needless to say, I took my time departing… I mean, why be in a rush to leave paradise, right? It was sheer bliss.
On my way back to my car, I walked behind some of the bungalows and just took in the gorgeous white sand beach views. Yep. Paradise.

Full spa!!! Just want to let all my budgeters know they take a 20% gratuity for all services (THIS IS THE PART WHERE YOU CLICK THAT «USEFUL» COMMENT ON THE BOTTOM TO LET ME KNOW I’M DOING A GOOD JOB AND THIS ISN’T IN VAIN… IT’S COOL I’LL WAIT…) Couples massage room was very exotic. Nice size gym„ and steam room. Ask them about they’re full list of massages. I love the hot stones, you kinda feel like the pharaohs of old getting a rub down. :-) n e who. They give you your own locker with a key to lock it, and inside the locker are slippers and (warm good quality) robe.
The only thing I wish they would do: SURROUND SOUND SPEAKERS IN THE MASSAGE ROOM. With my eyes covered hearing plays a big part in surroundings and I wish they has a better system then a small Bose, Boston acoustic, or whatever clock radio type of set up. Something like a theater, with a 5.1 (that’s 5 speaker and 1 subwoofer). But that’s not enough for me to take off a star.
