Shanell is amazing! She is truly gifted with hair. She did my extensions and did a fabulous job of making them look natural and placed perfectly. She was very professional and affordable for high quality work. I highly recommend her and look forward to going back for possibly color and cut soon!

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I’m appalled this kind of behavior even happens but I guess that’s why they’re going out of business. I bought two massages for my boyfriend and I and scheduled appointments for a surprise on his birthday. I made my appointments in person and when we show up the girl (not the receptionist, she quit because the salon stopped paying her) says there’s nothing on the books with our name on it, everything was taken off the books because the company has stopped paying everyone and they’re getting evicted. Are you fucking kidding me? What a fucking joke thanks for ruining plans on what was supposed to be a great day I’m seriously so upset

I’ve come to Envus for years because of Dawn. She is the only reason I came back since she moved away and still uses the space for her travel (Dawn is awesome). I called multiple times 1 week prior to wanting to book a style appointment for a fancy event and the business phone routed to the owner who was not pleasant and told me to call the salon back to book an appointment. After 4 more attempts throughout the day, I finally connected with a receptionist. She was generally nice and seemed to have booked the appointment accurately. She told me I would receive a confirmation. As the date approached and I realized I never received the confirmation, I started calling the day of my event and once again the call was unanswered. I left a message with no response and assumed the stylists were busy so showed up for my scheduled appointment. Long story short, they had «receptionist» issues and did not have me on the calendar with Courtney as I suspected. They did not provide me with any solution but rather stared at me like it was my problem. A massage therapist who was kind came from the back and called Courtney who I found out had left the salon that week due to the bad owner and politics and drama of the potential buyers. Horrible Horrible experience overall! I was rushed to a different salon, my hair looked awful and I had to redo it when I got home so I was rushed and late for my event. I’ll never return to this salon again.

I bought a prepaid card from this place a couple of months ago and only used 1 of my 3 massages and now they’re refusing to honor the other 2 because they are in between owners. They say the new owner will call me when they get time to straighten this situation out but that’s not helping me now. I leave soon for a long vacation and doubt I will have time use them once the «new» owner finally has time to get back to me. After getting worked up on the phone dealing with this BS I need a massage even more now! Do yourself a favor and go to one of the 20 other places within a few blocks of them.

Worst ever service. First time they deleted my appontment without informing me; I went there and nobody was available for the massage; then I rebooked and specifically asked for female therapist; I also called before going there specifying again my request but when I arrived they said there was no female therapist available and I should have wait for the next one.
Receptionist was unpolite even if at the end I had back my money (from a therapist and not from the manager that is never available). For sure I do not suggest this place and never will return there

Fantastic find for me while on a holiday to treat myself and my husband for a long over due haircut & style. Kelly at the front desk was friendly, warm and welcoming. She was able to accomodate us both with our last minute appointment requests. Shanel was my stylist and Courtney was for my husband, both were great with their skill and attitude. Glad we came here and reccommend others try this place out.

I have only come in to the Salon twice, both times with Courtney (who is awesome) The first time that I came in I came for color, did a very subtle balayage and LOVED it! I have been trying to find some one who understands that I want my hair to look very natural. The color was so good that the girl who does my brazilian blow out asked if I had given up on highlighting and decided to let me hair naturally lighten over summer! The second time I came in was for a haircut, I cut 12 inches (yes! a whole foot of hair!) I donated it to locks of love and I could not be happier with my cut and decision! Courtney confirmed with me several times that i was sure that I wanted to cut that much and she did an amazing job! If you need color, cut, or any other service, I highly recommend her!

Excellent location for corporate events or group functions!
Our company awards us each quarter with a team building event of our choosing. A group of around 20 of us signed up for a spa day.
As a member of the planning comittee, I scoured the internet looking for a location that could host our group and was within our budget. This was not an easy task because most spa’s are very small and can only accommodate a couple of clients at a time.
Tara, was very helpful and instrumental in making this event a success. The salon is a multiservice salon so our group had the choice between hair services or massages.
They have a large waiting area, where you could set up your light snacks and drinks while you are waiting.
The event went off without a hitch and everyone had a wonderful time. :)

Love getting massages here. They are great, flexible with my schedule, and are always offering great deals!

Go see Loren Sautter for a massage, she is very professional and is understanding of individual needs. Definitely a top notch experience, I’ll be back soon!

I have bought a few Groupons for massages here.
My first time coming here was about 2 years ago and I had 2 VERY awkward massages with Daniel. I believe he has since moved on from enVus, but I’m not 100% sure. He talked a lot during and it was more like he was trying to be my personal life coach than my masseuse. It was honestly my fault for going back to him for a second massage.
I have had 2 massages in the past couple of months with Loren. Both were not as relaxing as I had hoped. When you wait for your massage, you sit in an area separate from the hair salon. This is where the employees also take their breaks. While I was waiting, my masseuse was chatting with another employee about being hung over from the night before. I didn’t think it was very professional to be talking about that at work, especially while your clients are around to hear. It kind of set the tone for the massage as well — I didn’t feel like she had enough strength left in her to care about providing me with a decent massage. My last massage with Loren was painfull. And not in the good way where you get all your sore muscles worked out. Loren was playing classical music and a song came on where the percussion kept crescendoing and it was very intense and not relaxing vibe. You could tell that there was tension in the air as she was contemplating whether or not to change the song. I was hoping I wouldn’t have to say anything as you would expect your masseuse to be sensitive to the relaxing environment in the room. She wasn’t. I didn’t say anything. Again — my fault. I guess.
I will say I have had 2 very good reviews with one other masseuse. I truly can’t remember her name, maybe it was Michelle. She had a very hippie vibe going on, and was great at addressing my massage needs prior to starting her work. I could tell she actually cared about getting me to relax and making me feel better. I would go back for massages with her and only her. Otherwise I would probably sit this place out. I also don’t think I would consider coming here for any other services.

Sheridan is the best!!! I have thick blonde hair and she is great at giving me natural highlights/​lowlights that show minimal regrowth. She always thins my hair out and gives a perfect cut. :)

I found out about this place through Groupon. I scheduled with Sheridan and she is by far one of the best hair stylists i’ve gone to. My hair is really thick and long and I usually am nervous about getting a new hair dresser because they never really know how to handle my hair. BUT Sheridan jumped right in with no complaints and gave me one of the best haircuts. Ever since, I’ve been getting haircuts/​Brazilian Blowouts done by her and she’s done a fantastic job! I recommended my roommate to go to her to get her color done and she also raves about her! THANKS SHERIDAN!

CLEAN. Stylists seemed to be seasoned experts… mine definitely was anyway. Saw the spa but didn’t use on my visit. Impressed!

Giselle is amazing. She is so incredibly sweet and talented, and I feel blessed I have found her!
I have gone through a plethora of hair stylists– high end, low end, different cities, you name it. I have finally found the place and girl that will cut my hair now and always.
I have long nutty hair that has a mind of its own, and undergoes a lot of heat damage to contain it. As a result, the ends are always damaged, and only a few cuts can make it manageable. Every other stylist I have had just cant resist the urge to double the amount cut off that I request, but Giselle understands long hair and how girls that have it feel about getting it cut.
She knows how to remove the damage while still maintaining length, and she actually LISTENS to what you want, gives suggestions of what can help, and ultimately has you leaving with what you were hoping for.
For me she does an initial cut, dries my hair so I can see how it lays, and then tweaks it bit by bit to the exact length and style I want. She cares and spends time making sure you leave happy with your hair.
Envus has good prices and great service. I highly recommend the salon and Giselle as your stylist!

I learned about this place through groupon, i bought a deal for a haircut and Brazilian split end treatment. Not only was I intrigued by the split end treatment but it was also walking distance from my house and the reviews were pretty decent!
I arrived and was seen right away by Vanessa. She was super professional, friendly, and did exactly what i was looking for with my hair! I am not usually a regular to a stylist but I think that I will be now because I had such a great experience at this salon. Everyone was friendly, it was clean and I loved how my hair looked and felt afterward!

Great haircut by Tara! I was visiting San Diego and Envus was highly recommended. I desperately
needed a fresh short style. Results were perfect!
Wish I lived closer so I could be back in 6 weeks for a trim.

Overall I was very happy with this place. Convenient parking, friendly front desk staff, reasonable pricing for a cut ($ 35) and Sheridan did a great job.
I’ll definitely be back!

I came her today after looking up hair cuts on Groupon. I ended up picking enVus Salon because the Unilocal ratings were high. As a recent San Diego transplant, I didn’t want to pick a salon, pay full price, have mixed feelings about an adequate or sub par hair cut, so I rely on Groupon. It allows me to get great deals.
It was my first time at enVus and I must say that this establishment is very clean. I liked the openness of the space, created by all the light from the front windows. The staff were incredibly nice and professional. At least two employees offered me water. Those are the little details that make a satisfying experience. I met Giselle and she was FANTASTIC. She looked presentable: had a nice side braid, clean make up. I like when the hair stylist looks polished. Giselle listened to what I wanted, suggested her input as a professional and we were off…
I cannot lie. I talk a lot. A LOT, A LOT. And I liked that Giselle communicated back to me. Just another little detail that makes my day. At the end, my hair cut was perfect. I wanted to get my hair thinned out and she did a technique I wasn’t familiar with. Normally, stylist use the thinning scissors, but Giselle had mentioned that with that, my hair would look too top heavy. I agree with her 100%. I have nothing but GREAT things to say about my stylist Giselle and my experience at enVus. I will definitely be back.
