I come see the amazing Leilani on a regular basis. If you want kind people who truly know about hair and up to date style and products, come here. Also, there are eateries and a spa on the same block so if you want a bite or to treat yo self before or after it is quite convenient.

Maegan is great with my hair! She had been my hair stylist for years. I have had problems with my hair for a long time. She has given me tips to keep it nice, in between visits. She also gives great massages while washing my hair. We love going to The Park Salon. By that, I mean my husband and I, we enjoy the ride there. My husband just loves Maegan, and he goes there only because of Maegan, and of course to have a fun day after my appointment. We highly recommend The Park Salon and of course Maegan Cooper, who does a wonderful and amazing job on my hair. Just make an appointment soon!

Maegan Cooper is fantastic! I came in wanting to go from medium brown to blonde and cut my hair to my shoulders! She took her time and looked at all the photos I had saved and made me feel so comfortable and did exactly what I wanted, in addition to calming me down when I had a mini freak out when I looked and saw myself blonde in the mirror (took a few minutes to get used to!) I absolutely love my hair it is exactly what I wanted. She also recommended great products to keep my hair the nice shade of blonde she made it. Everyone has been asking me where I got my hair done and have sent my mom and 2 friends there! I highly recommend going to her!

Every blonde knows how hard it is to find a hair stylist who can master a natural looking blonde. About 5 years ago I finally took a friends recommendation to see Desi and could not have been happier with my decision. She is amazing. I have gone from light blonde to dark blonde to everything in between. She gives me exactly what I’m looking for every time and I always leave the salon loving my hair. I followed her to her new salon, The Park Salon, in University Heights and it is so cute and easy to find. She is super chill and funny so sitting through a two hour appointment flies by. Definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to leave the salon feeling like a million bucks.

Desi and the Park Salon are awesome!!! Desi is a talented stylist and always exceeds my expectations. I recently visited her at her new salon (The Park Salon) and love it! The salon is super cute, and the shampoo experience is the beyond amazing! I also hired Desi for my wedding and couldn’t have been happier. My bridal party and I looked stunning! Her easy-​going, cheerful demeanor helped to make the day super fun instead of stressful. I recently moved to the East Coast and make sure I get an appointment with her every time I come home, which says it all ;)

Desi Kauhi-​Peterson has been styling my hair for almost two years. I have been nothing but satisfied and I recommend Desi for both haircuts and color.

DESI has been my stylist for years and she never ceases to AMAZE me with her talent! I absolutely LOVE the way she does my color/​ink! I trust her 100% and I believe that is very important. She also gives me the best scalp massage which is only one of the highlights of my time with her! The passion and talent she has is OUTSTANDING and I always leave with a big smile and beautiful sexy hair! I LOVE YOU DESI!

I’ve been going to Maegan Cooper for a while, she’s amazing! She does such a great job, she never takes off too much, and always takes time for a consultation to really understand what I want. Not to mention the massage with shampoo is out of this world! I love going to this salon too, it’s so cute inside and everyone is so friendly! If you’re looking for a new stylist, definitely give Meagan a shot!

Leslie is the owner and my hair stylist. I just go to her for cuts, and I love it. She gives a very relaxing long shampoo.

Rob D is THE man!
He’s way awesome and really knows his way around some hair! Go see Rob. Serious. Do it. He’s a total badass hair ninja.
The salon is really nice, well laid out and decorated. Parking was easy — I found a space right around the corner. Not much else to say really, except that it’s awesome, and you’re guaranteed a good experience!

I was visiting San Diego from the East coast and I needed a trim… I walked in to the Park Salon and luckily got set up with an appointment with Rob for the following day.
The salon is very chic and comfortable. I sat in Rob’s chair and he started working his magic, getting a feel for how I’d like my hair trimmed/​cut and how I usually style it. He is a master! He cut my pixie just perfectly! Awesome cut by a very talented and down to earth guy.

Rob is the man! This review has been long overdue.
It’s hard to find someone in San Diego who knows asian hair, especially for men, but this guy really gets it. I am extremely picky about my hair and I will tell you, that no matter what type of cut you want, he will get the job done. He’s up to date on the latest styles and his skills are second to none.
He’s a very chill guy and I really like that he takes his time and makes sure he fully understands what you’re looking for and will discuss any potential problems you may encounter with the cut. If you bring a photo of what you want, he asks to see it a few times, which I really appreciate because, who can remember exactly what a picture looks like after a few seconds of seeing it?!
99% of the time (Rob being that minority %1), during a haircut, there’s a point in which I look into the mirror and absolutely hate what I see, this NEVER happened once with Rob. He understands that sometimes «it’s about what you don’t cut».
I visited Rob exclusively over the past couple years and now that I have moved away from San Diego, his service is definitely one of the things I miss most.

My lifetime, all-​time favorite stylist/​colorist is Robyn Oakes. Her hair care skills are magical. I moved to San Diego in 2006 and it took me 6 long, horrible hair years to finally find the right professional (Robyn Oakes) to do my hair in 2012. Robyn has all the goods — the right mix of hair coloring & cutting skills, plus she has an amazing, welcoming personality with a great sense of humor. She is cautious in making sure what you want is the right style for your face and your hair type; additionally, Robyn always offers to ease you into a new color or cut to make sure you are pleased with the change.
I get lots of compliments on all aspects of my hair and am regularly asked who does my hair. I highly recommend Robyn Oakes for both men and women — she totally aims to please you — for real. In fact, many of my friends see her now and we all followed her to The Park Salon which I will add is really a nice experience. The salon is sparkling clean, great vibe, cool music and really nice people. My 2 favorite parts are: 1) the shampoo room which is secluded from the rest of the salon with this relaxing spa like ambience, and 2) the yummy beverages you are offered.
The truth is I am very particular when it comes to my mane, I’m a Leo — need I say more!

Serendipity at it’s Best!!! I just happened to walk by this adorable salon near my house and Nicky was the one to welcome me. I inquired about prices and availability ad she was informative and kind. I made my appt for the next week and my entire experience was awesome!
She highlighted my curly blonde hair and touched up my roots perfectly. :) I am so happy we met– same age, same style& now my new friend! :) Can’t wait to see Nicky again!

ROB IS MAGIC. I followed Rob here after meeting him at Salon Ink. Not trying to sound completely dramatic, but I was pretty lost during the few months without Rob visiting other popular salons in San Diego. Needless to say, it was extremely difficult to find another stylist that could meet my expectations.
I’m normally low-​maintenance– but when it comes to my hair, I couldn’t be more paranoid and obsessive. Rob is always patient and really works with your type of hair to find the best style/​cut for your lifestyle. He is also committed to making sure that you are ultimately happy with the end result. I say Rob is magic because controlling my hair really is the work of a wizard.

I followed my hair dresser Robyn Oakes over to this salon and love it! It is extremely clean, great ambiance, welcoming, and full of very talented hairdressers. The chairs are so comfortable and they have a separate shampoo station walled off which is really nice. The staff is very friendly even if you are not their client. The location is awesome-​i love City Heights! Parking is not the easiest but it is worth it to come to this location. The product lines they use (mainly Kevin Murphy) are wonderful and make my hair feel amazing!
My hair dresser Robyn is just phenomenal! She has been doing my hair for 4 years now and is so talented and knowledgeable! I would highly recommend Robyn and this salon!

About four years ago I got my first tattoo done here when it was Vivid Tattoo. Moving to the present, my favorite stylist just transferred to this salon and oddly enough her booth is about the same location as I had gotten inked up at.
This location now yields no more concerned lectures from my folks about the message I am sending to others but now an opportunity to transform myself in a more traditional way going from scraggly Justin Beiber hair to polished, chic, and very Audrey Hepburn.
I go see Robyn here who is the life to any salon I have followed her to. The atmosphere of Park Salon straddles the line between chic but not pretentious. Upon coming into the salon you are dressed in a black fancy robe and offered a wide variety of delicious beverages to enjoy. They even have a special shampoo room that is private from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the salon where you can really let your hair down, in the sink of course. It’s soothing and comfortable, definitely a treat. The salon pumps out great tunes, today it was Rolling Stones, Creedence Clearwater, etc. I am sure the tunes change based on the day but I was digging it.
Park Salon, you’re my new spot. Go see Robyn too, you’ll be glad you did!

Rob is the man! I’ve been hitting up a ton of different spots over the years and it’s been rather difficult to find someone who can do a great job on my hair consistently (always a hit or miss each time). But Rob gets down each time!
He pays close attention to what you need done and your hair will be looking fresh once you step out of there. I’ve gotten numerous compliments from complete strangers, even 2 weeks after when my hair starts to grow out like crazy!
Expect at least a good hour or so for your haircut to be finished from the moment you walk in. Just park around the sides streets so you won’t have to worry about the time limit on those damn meters on Park (who carries around coins these days anyways).
Enjoy a beer or glass of wine as well (complementary) while you’re getting trimmed away!

Pretty much, wherever ROB goes, we go. We’ve been client of rob’s for almost two years now. I have never been able to find someone that knows hair like he does.
I never have to say anything, he already knows what’s going to look the best, and what I need.
My fiancé used to only go to fantastic sams or any other 10 dollar barber he can find. But I introduced him to Rob and now he won’t get anywhere else either. Also, he won’t bitch about the Salon haircut price because he knows that he got a damn good haircut.
Time for my haircut as we speak!

Not sure if this salon usually takes walk-​ins but John Hewick happened to be available when I walked in. His rates for a haircut are about 20−25% higher than what reputable salons in downtown charge but he was nice enough to give a first time client discount after id asked.
John did a super job working with me to give me the cut I wanted. My hair was long and flat and i wanted layers, volume and bangs. He asked a lot of good questions, gave suggestions and was an extremely good listener. A+++ for effort. Really pleasant guy.
I ended up being happy with the cut and gave him a 20% tip based on the original rate, I just didnt like the curls he gave me. Satisfactory overall experience with John and The Park Salon, would recommend.
