Taquizas José

Sorry it took so long to get to this. I had one month to put a fundraiser together in my backyard. Taquizas Jose came through! Everything was done over email or phone. The women showed up on time got to work and were amazing. Everything was cooked perfectly and when they were through all the extra was packaged for us and everything was cleaned up and put away. I would use him again in fact I am in a few weeks for another event. You can not go wrong with this company!

We tried Taquizas Jose at a friend’s baby shower and we were so impressed that we decided to use them for our annual Christmas party. The ladies arrived about 2 hours ahead of time to prepare, including grilling all of the meat and chopping the fresh vegetables. The food was awesome and all of our guests were raving. They provided plenty of food and gave us what was left. They cleaned up quickly and the price cannot be beat. We definitely plan to use them again.

Today we had a party of about 100 people and tacos were served to all. They were on time, friendly, and the food was amazing. There was more than enough food and there was some left when our 3 hours was over. Thank you so much!

Taquizas Jose was great. My brother was moving out to the midwest so I figured I’d get him so nice California Mexican food before he heads out. His going away party was on a Saturday and on Thursday, everyone I had contacted was booked so I decided to try Taquizas Jose. What an excellent choice. Not only was he available, but he was flexible about time, payment and food options. All in all a great experience with tasty food for everyone

Booked these guys for my sisters baby shower and couldn’t be more happy.
First off, the prices were about half of what others were charging for the same thing.
Secondly, the food was great. The set-​up was never empty. They serve for 3 hours and leave you any extra food that was already cooked.
There were 2 girls that came to man the cart both of which hardly spoke English, but we made it work :) They arrived an hour before to set up and were not late.
The only negative is that they lost my initial $ 100 check deposit and I had to resend one but that’s water under the bridge. Will definitely use em again and recommend them to my friends and fam :)

I hired taquizas jose for my sons birthday. Tacos were OK. I went off everyone’s reviews. Service from the two lady’s serving was really bad! Maybe because they got to my house 3 hours early, the event was at 4pm, they arrived at 1pm. I was told when I hired them that they would be there by 3:30,So by like 5pm they were very grumpy. The service included, mulitas, tacos and quesadillas. Not once did they asked any of my guests what they wanted or offer any mulitas or quesadillas, the beans offerred were is a small pot sat on the side and were cold. The cilantro, onions,
radishes look old, maybe because they had be sitting in the heat for over 3 hours since they got there so early! the cactus salad was far from a salad, it was just chopped cactus in a container with no onions, cilantro and tomatoes like a cactus salad should be, They also keep on complaining about how hot it was and asking my guest for drinks.. maybe they plan to bring their own. Jose never showed up to my event. I will not be hiring them ever again.

THE BEST!!! Great food, great company, great owner. I will never hire anyone else. He is a good business man with great food and staff to back it up. I had never tried him before but hired him based on our phone conversation. I was a little nervous the day of the event because I had never tried the food. Well… I was put to shame because the food was so good. My guests couldnt stop talking about how good the food was. Thank you Jose for being the very best. I cant wait to have another event with your company

I happened into a Taquizas Jose catered lunch by accident while waiting for my car to be serviced at Pacific Nissan. I was offered tacos and beans and all the fixings. This is the authentic stuff! The carne asada was amazing and all the sides tasted authentic and fresh. The people working the event were very sweet and pleasant. Thanks for lunch TJ!

I hired taquizas jose to do my husband birthday party last night. I must say the food and service was really great the ladies showed up on time and everything was ready right on time. We even had a little left over. They made the tacos for us. They made my job so easy. Thank you ladies!!!

I hired taquizas jose for my daughters birthday. Tacos were OK. I went off everyone’s reviews. Service from the two lady’s serving was really bad! My guests would ask for tacos without cheese and she would tell them that she only makes them with cheese. She would be upset if anyone asked for anything different. I asked for a mulita and was handed a taco with cheese… uuum last time I checked mulitas are two tortillas on top of each other. Great service, on time, delicious food! 3 hours of serving time guaranteed us to savor all the food and allow for late arriving guests to have a bite to eat.

Jose was referred to me by a friend who’s baby shower he catered, so I booked him for my sisters surprise birthday party. Jose and his crew was on time, friendly and the food was exactly what we wanted. I would highly Recommend Taquizas Jose to anyone! I’ve also just booked another party with him this Morning thanks Jose!

Catered my sons first birthday. Food was great and didn’t run out! They were on time and friendly! I would them again great prices !

I called several taco stand caterers. All of them ranged $ 450 – 600 for 2 hours. Jose, charges $ 350 for 3 hours. Needless to say I went with Jose. The food was excellent! Best Pastor Ive ever had. Several guests felt the same. His employees were top notch too. Jose dont change a thing!

My wife put me in charge of food and I contacted Jose about our party. The tacos were fantastic. They arrived on time to set up and were ready to go when they said they would be. We had all the tacos we could eat for 3 hours and they didnt run out of anything. Great job cleaning up and didnt leave a mess. A lot of my friends and guest took business cards so book with you guys. Great prices, food and service. Thank you for making that day so easy. Oh and they drove up to Oceanside for the event!

Hands down BEST TACOS in SD!!! Jose is very professional and his pricing is reasonable. They were on time and food was ready when promised. I would recommend his service to anyone looking for a good taquero for a good price!!! I look forward to working with him again.

I found these guys on Craigslist!!! Most of the places I had found on Unilocal were booked for the date that I needed them, so I turned to CL to cater my baby shower. I called Jose, even though I only gave him about 2 weeks notice prior to my scheduled event, and he was very helpful and eager to work. They showed up about an hour or more before the event to set up, and cleaned up after themselves completely. The tacos were so delicious!!! All my guests were raving about the quality. I highly recommend Taquizas Jose and I WILL MOST DEFINITELY be using them again in the future.

We used Taquizas Jose for a backyard birthday party and everyone was impressed with the quality of the food. They are arrived with plenty of time to set up, were ready at scheduled time and provided 3 hours of food service. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future. Highly recommended!

I contacted Taquizas Jose to cook and serve tacos & mulitas at my company picnic that was 128 people at Santee Lakes. Jose was on time absolutely professional and efficient and the food was awesome!!! We are looking forward to having him come back next year :) so happy that we found him! Best choice of meats are the carne asada and the adobada & the beans were awesome!!!

We used Jose for a birthday party this past weekend! Booking was easy and accommodating in my requests. He was very prompt in his replies.
Reasonable prices and really good food!

My only complaint was the guacamole was incredibly salty, BUT that is an easy fix.

We contracted Taquizas Jose for 75 meals. They were able to deliver on time with pretty good compliments from all the family and friends we had over. Everyone especially liked the adobada tacos. Next time we have an event again, we will definitely contact Taquizas Jose for the food.
