For the first time ever, I look forward to going to the dentist. Dr. Sutton and his team are top-​notch: thorough, professional, friendly, non-​biased and knowledgeable in their advice, and last but certainly not least, as pain-​free as a dentist can be. I’ve had a x-​rays, a deep cleaning, and even two cavities cleared out, all without more than a standard pinch. When they told me my cavities were done, I thought they were still prepping to get started. Guy, Tracy, and Brittany… can’t wait to see you again.

Dr. Sutton and his team are awesome! They are so polite, respectful, friendly, and honest. I personally hate everything about going to the dentist which is why it’s been a few years since the last time I went. Dr. Sutton and his team were referred to me by a coworker who had an amazing experience. I went in for a cleaning and check up and got a treatment plan broken down with full detail. They were very flexible with my schedule and they made me feel so comfortable. I just had my second visit and I’m so relieved that Dr. Sutton was able to work his magic. He is so sweet and he explains everything so clearly. His assistants are great as well. I have a 3^rd appt in January and I can honestly say that I’m excited for it so I can get closer to having the healthiest smile possible.

Last time I looked up a dentist with high reviews (5 stars), he turned out to be mediocre. Office looked like it was in a moturary and the staff seemed really old an unhappy. Ive been to many different dentists and I have seen it all.
Ive always hated going to the dentist due to previous doctors who only seemed to care for your money. They never seemed to care about your well being.
Dr. Sutton’s office was like a breath of fresh air. Clean, modern and the staff (front office, assistants, hygienists and Doctor himself), very kind and empathetic to your needs. I didnt have a certain issue for my visit, just needed a check up. The doctor found some things that needed immediate care and I was schedule and taken care of within the week. Ive never been scheduled so quickly for a dentist appointment before, especially seeing how busy his office is. That just tells you that he is definitely not lazy.
I appreciate this office very much and im glad that I can finally settle on one Dentist.

I’ve been going to Dr Sutton for as long as he’s been a dentist, and his dad before that. Can’t say enough good things about Dr. Sutton. I’m a huge wimp in the dentist chair and he is awesome and pain free. I moved out of San Diego about a year ago and unfortunately had to find a new dentist, but she saw the work he’d done and complimented how nice it was. If you need a San Diego dentist (or anywhere for that matter), you won’t find a better one than Guy Sutton.

Absolutely amazing! Dr. Sutton has changed my life! Sounds dramatic I’m sure, but it’s absoluetly true. After my check up, and a discussion about some dental concerns, he recommended I look further into it by getting a sleep study, and seeing an ENT… I took his advice, and it turns out I had some serious air passage blockage going on in my nose and throat… I always had to force air through my nose, and thought that was normal… since not one single doctor or dentist my entire life has ever mentioned any possible issues with anything that has to do with the ENT region… Well it turns out that wasn’t normal… You don’t have to try so hard to breathe, haha! So now I’m finishing up the recovery portion of my surgery, and already feel a world of difference… And that is all because Dr. Sutton pays attention to the details, and really is passionate about what he does. In addition to that, he did amazing dental work for me!
Best ever! Go see him!

I was referred to Guy and his staff by a friend and I can’t be happier! Super professional, and honest! They only promise what they will provide and guarantee. After and cleaning and a new crown I couldn’t be happier. They have a great blend of technology (CNC for the crown) and old school ways. Never liked going to the dentist like most, but I don’t drag my feet going the see Guy and his awesome staff! Thank you!

This review is long overdue. I’ve been seeing Dr. Sutton for about 5 years now, and his office is wonderful.
First, the hygienists (who I see most): for the first couple years, I saw Tanya. She is probably the gentlest hygienist who ever lived — most of the time I couldn’t even tell she was doing anything. She also has a sweet disposition that put me at ease. Later I got switched to Tracy, who is also very gentle. Tracy is very considerate of a persistent tender spot in my gums and saves it for last, usually not doing too much to aggravate it as a couple different x-​rays have shown it’s healthy.
Dr. Sutton has seen me for a few fillings, and he extracted my wisdom teeth. Also gentle. He’s very careful with novocaine, making sure there’s absolutely no pain. Even when I’ve been «toughing it out» and not saying anything, he is in tune with the slightest flinch and makes sure I have enough pain relief. After my extraction, he personally called to see how I was doing, and he called again one or two days later. That struck me as above-​par.
Finally, the office staff is very sweet, always remembering me and very efficient with getting things done. I’ve never had a long wait because they scheduled poorly, or botched paperwork, or any other issue. They are great about explaining my insurance coverage and options.
I would recommend this office to anyone!

Came to Dr. Sutton due to a broken crown. He was informative and gave me options to choose from that best fit my needs. I am happy with his quality of work and attentiveness. His staff is friendly and helpful. If you are in need of a dentist I would highly recommend him.

Growing up with a conscious smile has a way of shaping your personality; now being able smile freely changes so much. My life has been forever changed as for the first time; I can smile with total confidence. So, it’s only right that my inaugural Unilocal review go to the dentist that changed by life.
Due a childhood accident that was never properly addressed and subsequent years of neglect, I required major-​major dental work. Over the years, I had fits and starts, visiting several dentists recommended by friends/​family/​reviews all over the country; from New Mexico, Washington D.C., and San Diego (I’m former military) before finally meeting Dr. Sutton. His plan for fixing my teeth and mockup was the most affordable solution and by far the best mockup of every single dentist I visited in the past. As we finalized the plans and were ready to begin the process, he was just as «stoked» as I was… which was pretty awesome. I found it very comforting to have a dentist that enjoys their job and takes such pride in their work. Needless to say, everything went as planned and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome… it really could not be better. Right away, I started getting compliments and comments of how I smile more than I used to.
I’d be remiss to not mention the dental assistants and front desk support. They are all so very warm and welcoming… it feels good that they remember your name and are genuinely glad to see you when you come in. I know it’s a dental office, but I actually look forward to my appointments. Weird, right?!? I think that really does say a lot about everyone that works there.

The best dentist I’ve ever had, hands down. Every one of his staff, from his cleaning technicians to the receptionists are friendly, helpful, and practice just overall excellence. This goes without saying for Dr. Sutton and more. I’ve moved to LA but am seriously considering making the drive down just to get my dental work done by him.
I don’t trust anyone else with my teeth.

My teeth are extremely important to me. The first 5 years I was in this area I think I saw that many different dentists but at last found Dr. Sutton who has not been my dentist for several years. His staff is always friendly, his office very clean, when I leave messages they promptly call me back as does he. I find him very considerate of me and the experience I’m having. I get my teeth cleaned every six months, have had fillings replaced by him, a crown, a root canal, gotten a night-guard…I trust him completely and expect he will be my dentist forever. LOVE THIS DENTIST, so happy I found him.

The Suttons, father Dale and son Guy have been taking care of our family since 1970, shortly after Dale opened his practice. Guy took over the practice when Dale retired, and Dale assured me Guy was amazing. That is in insufficient word. I am the woman with a million dollar mouth. If there is a dental procedure to be had, I’ve had it, probably numerous times.
Dr Guy is the kind of man who worries about his patients — I know because he’s awakened in the middle of the night trying to figure out how to help me. And he always comes up with some creative solution. He is cost conscious and will always let you know if you have a choice to save money. He has a working relationship with numerous dental specialists and will send you to one of the best, if need be.
Yesterday Guy had to pull one of my molars. I could not feel the shot, not even a sting. Because I am so vain, I will not go out in public without teeth, Guy always manages to get the new partial made with a 24 hour turn-​around.
The office staff are also incredible, including Tanya who cleans my teeth. You know it’s a pleasant place to work because NOBODY leaves unless they retire, are injured or moved. If you need a caring, competent, generally pain-​free dentist go see Guy. He’s my man, and he’ll be yours too.

Dr. Sutton and his staff have made me a believer in quality dental service. As far back as I can remember I never liked going to the dentist and the state of my dental work before I went to Dr. Sutton is proof why. Now that the good doc has replaced most of my old fillings I feel like I have been given a fresh start. The personal attention I receive from the doctor is more than I would expect, but I know now it is what I deserve. The same can be said about his staff. I always feel welcome even after I had to reschedule my apt 3 time! Which they never charged me for.
Receiving a personal call from Dr. Sutton only minutes ago prompted me to write this review. He was checking into see how I was feeling after a simple filling replacement revealed a much bigger problem yesterday. I was never in pain even after an hour and a half in the chair and when the numbness wore off, but he called to check anyway. Thanks Doc!
If you have ever felt like your dentist is only concerned with making money and not with making sure you have your teeth in your head well into your senior years call Dr. Sutton’s office today. You can thank me later!

Great freindly staff. Good payment options for people on a budget. Great dental work provided. Expensive but something I am willing to splurge on is my dental work.

I have been seing dr. sutton for the last year or so. I went to him with current issues and he was very matter of fact of what the issues are and how to fix them. He even encouraged me to go the most ethical dr. s for root canals and a sinus lift. He takes the time to vist with each patient and follows up if there are any issues.
I do not trust many dentists as I always get different views that benefits each dentist personally, but Dr. Sutton seems to do what is right for the patient which is hard to find. I now bring my kids there and feel confident on their care too.

I have been seeing Dr. Guy for the past 8 years or so. He is so nice and when I tell him my anxiety about not being able to breath while he is doing work, He will ask me how it is going and to please tell him if I need a break. I really appreciate that. As for those dreaded shots, he has a very soft touch. I would totally recommend him to anyone who is looking for a good dentist. And for anyone who works for Fed Ex, he is one of their preferred providers for Met Life. That will help save a chunk of change.

Unilocal reviews are always a mixed bag. You never know what is a ‘real” review and what was a friend of the family, so to speak or in other words, a fake review. So here is a real review. I went to Guy Sutton because a friend said Guy (Dr. Sutton) was a mountain biker and used the latest technology in his dental practice and he was fast, did not waste your time in the office. I found all that to be true, I really like him and trust him as a dentist… as I am older I have become an incredible dental coward. I need gas for a simple cavity, I am so afraid of dental work.
BUT I always avoided routine appointments because the hygienist was such a pedantic bitch. Well I am happy to say SHE is gone. Today the cleaning was fairly quick, did not make my gums bleed and NO FREAKING LECTURES about flossing. No extraneous BS, no checking blood pressure, no measuring of gum gaps, no crap. Whew! Whew. Happy customer.

Deep teeth cleaning has never been so much fun!
I usually dread going to the dentist office since my last dentist was horrible. Dr. Sutton’s staff is so friendly and welcoming. They are always on time for their appointments, which is very important for me.
Dr. Sutton takes time for his patients and does a very comprehensive look at my teeth and gums. He is very friendly and very knowledgeable about his field. They have new machines which can take a 360 picture of your teeth.
Unfortunately after many years of not flossing I started having some early gum disease. I was scheduled for 4 deep cleanings and I already notice the difference.
Tonya the hygienist made me feel very comfortable and at east despite a piercing noise of drilling around my gums. They even have tv’s on their ceiling so you can watch while getting your teeth cleaned.
Prices are very reasonable and they don’t overcharge for services that you don’t need. Will be coming back!
