Sunsett Paint and Body Works

We needed our back bumper replaced due to a rear collision. The insurance company had Sunsett on their list and it is very convenient to my husband’s office. This was the first time we experienced Sunsett. They are 100% excellent customer service. Constants updates by phone and text. Delivered when promised. The entire staff is very professional. The bumper looks perfect and they washed and vacuumed the car. I wish I could get this kind of customer service every where.

We just got our baby back from having been said de swiped into a guard rail. As always my husbands baby looks great. I love the fact that they text me updates to let me know how things are going. Because there was so much damage I had questions regarding how to treat the new paint job. They listened and answered all my questions. I received a phone call from then on Christmas Eve of all days regarding a question that I had emailed them. Love these guys!

I had to get the fender on my Hyundai fixed after an encounter with a high curb. These guys fixed it quickly at a good price and my car looks brand new, they even washed it. The customer service was awesome, everyone was helpful and friendly. I highly recommend them.

Got into a little accident with my truck and 5^th wheel. The insurance company recommended these guys to fix the truck. I worked closely with Adrian. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. $ 8,100! A large amount of money because of the damage. Glad I only paid the deductible. They did an exceptional job and my truck looks almost brand new. Thanks guys!

Found this place through Unilocal and was quite happy. Not only did we get prompt service but we got excellent customer service! Alberto was the friendliest guy we encountered all day. We got a quick estimate and all of our questions answered. It looks like this will be the place we go with to repair our bumper!

I must be the worst driver ever. In my defense, this is only the second time I’ve rear-​ended someone and the guy I hit said it would have taken super-​human reflexes to avoid hitting him. The jerk in front of him slammed on his brakes for no reason and took off after he realized the upcoming chain reaction. Sam at Superior Automotive down the street told me to take my car to Sunsett because I refuse to ever go back to Nice & Easy Auto Body. They reused the clips after painting my car so one day my bumper was hanging off the car! That was another car and another headache so let’s get to the review, shall we?
Let’s start off with my first phone call to Sunsett. Donna answered and was so friendly and helpful that I wanted to hug her. We made arrangements to bring my car in the next day since it was still driveable. The next morning I drove the 10 miles down toward the border to drop off the car. It was a hot day so I brought my dog with me. The second we walk in, Donna comes over and starts talking to Kiki. She has a MinPin too! I knew I liked this girl! I drop off my car, sign the paperwork and I was off. This was after Kiki showed Donna some of her tricks. What’s a good day without some dog tricks?
A few hours after the disassembly of the car, they call to say it’s going to take a little longer than they thought because they found structural damage with the radiator supports. I was fully prepared for something to change once they started taking stuff apart. Now instead of a Friday completion date, it would be Wednesday.
Then I realized that I would have to borrow a car since I forgot that I dropped the rental car coverage from my insurance. (I’m really smarter than I seem, promise!) I called them back and explained my situation of having to borrow a friend’s car until my car was finished so they said they’d do their best to get it done sooner.
Flash forward to the following Friday (the original completion date), I get a call that my car is done! What? Unfortunately, it was about 4:00, they close at 5:00 and I get off at 5:00 so I had to wait until Monday to pick up the car. I was so thankful it was done early!
Look at my bright shiny car! Not only did they do a great job but they hammered out the holes/​dents in my license plate so now I won’t have to deal with the DMV and pay MORE money. They even did a mini-​detail on the outside of my car. AND Mike gave me a paint sample for touch ups. Thanks Mike!
I highly recommend Sunsett. Friendly staff, quality work, great communication and fast service. It’s hard to find all that wrapped up in one business. I will miss Donna since she’s the sweetest dog-​lover around. That sweet girl mailed me a cute harness for Kiki that didn’t fit her dog. Who does that? Donna does because she’s so nice!

To my horror, my pristine Toyota Prius [that I’ve worked so hard for] was rear ended in the parking lot of a delicious hot pot restaurant a couple months ago (T_​T);
Lucky for me, the driver stopped, admitted he didn’t see me AND he had insurance! Also… the good news was that his insurance would take care of fixing my car’s bumper and I had the option to take it into any body shop to get it repaired.
Although the lack of Unilocal reviews made me nervous, I ultimately decided to take my car to Sunsett Pain and Body Works because my friends have taken their cars here on multiple occasions and highly recommended their great service [ranging from minor to major work].
I showed up on a Thursday morning, the car was inspected and I was told the repairs would be done in 2 – 3 days. The next afternoon I received a phone call saying the car was READY for pickup well ahead of schedule! My bumper looks brand new and they were even so nice to wash my car and clean my tires :)
The entire process was very smooth, the receptionist was friendly and Adrian [who did a thorough inspection of my car] was very nice even though this was the first time I’ve ever had any repairs done.
What’s also good to know is that the painting they did is covered by a Lifetime Limited Warranty for «priming and painting solvent blistering, peeling, and excessive loss of pigmentation». Oh and if you need a rental car, they can call Enterprise to arrange for a rental.

Took my Acura in with the wheel well and front bumper caved in on the right side. I got it back in 4 days and it looked like a brand new car. Adrian was the customer service rep who helped me. Great service!

I took my vehicle here after my insurance company referred me, and what awesome service. The estimate originally said that I wouldn’t have my car until 3 days after Christmas, and they got it to me the 23^rd! They kept me updated the whole time and the car looks brand new again. Recommend to anyone needing their car fixed. looks like they do non-​insurance work too.

I’ve been to this place twice to do body work on my car. It is sponsored by my auto insurance company, and I’ve definitely got to give major props to Sunset. The customer service is spot-​on and all the guys that work there really know what they’re talking about. They are honest, straight-​forward, and have impeccable workmanship. The two times I have brought my car here, I was always kept up-​to-​date on the status of their progress and they inform me well ahead of time if they might have to take a couple of days longer — although they have met their promised deadlines on or before the expected date!

I’ve never experienced such wonderful customer service! The staff was more than friendly, helpful, and treated me like family. I will definitely be returning should I have any future car repair needs.

Many Insurance companies recommend this shop for the South Bay. I made the huge mistake of taking my truck here and the experience was horrible. Not only did they do an incomplete job but their customer service was just as bad. I ended up taking it back twice because they could not get it right (repairing ONE door) DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!
