I think the other Unilocal reviews appear to be appropriate. The monthly rate is cheaper but again you get what you pay for.
For me, personally, I’m a big fan of Zumba. At this particular location, I’m a big fan of the Zumba instructor, Jonatan Flores. He is really talented and high energy. He is also a Jammer (i.e. instructor for other Zumba instructors).
I’ve always liked Zumba because I hated exercising. I go to «party» and the side effect is losing weight and feeling really good. That gets me going, and now Zumba has turned into an addiction!

Place is shady, agreed to a $ 15 month to month plan with first and last month’s dues and after first month I was automatically charged $ 44 for annual fee. Even though I’m on a month to month? Canceled the very next day after they refused to give me a refund. Rather pay more at 24 hour fitness then to deal with shit like this.

Minus 1 star because it use to be 24 hours and now it closes at 12 Mon-​Thursday
Friday it closes at 10pm and Saturday and Sunday it closes at 4pm
The important thing I didn’t mention now that I’ve experienced the main stream wussy gyms is that the Dumb bells go past 75 pounds, there is a actual bench press and Squat rack.
This gym isn’t Air conditioned and I like that. You should not be comfortable at a gym. It should be a near death experience,

It’s nice and clean and they have a day care. the only issue I have is, it so small you have to wait for machine. The personal trainers are rude, I watched one trainer look at the gym goers giggle and shake her head, bed they lady she training was beat the trainer just shook her head. Office staff is very nice as are the membership people. The gym is nice so I continue to attend. I do think they should offer a class for special ed children.

I’ve been a member for a month and have only gone twice… why? Dropping LA fitness for this was the worse idea ever! This gym is way closer to me and it was $ 10 less than what I was paying at LA fitness so a save all the way around. I am now regretting it! I pay $ 10 a month which is fine but I hate coming here. The gym equipment is dirty they have no real sanitation protocol. They have classes at all hours of the day which is great for those wanting to take classes but the music is just blazing through what sounds like blown out speakers non stop. It makes it almost impossible to have a conversation or encourage my partner through workouts. They have no showers, lockers, pool or sauna. There’s no basket ball gym and a very short selection of equipment. It’s cool in the way that it reminds me a lil bit of my high school weight room but that’s it! $ 20 a month I get a cleaner gym, a pool, sauna, lockers basketball court cycling classes a seprate room for Zumba sanitation stations through out the entire gym and no annoying music blazing through the gym. At first I didn’t like LA fitness much because it was so busy and it was more of a social gathering then a gym but now… I miss it! I’m cancelling my membership asap!

If you come during summer you can just stand here and sweat. One fan for the whole place that smells extra gross.
Then my wallet got stolen… when my payment is due they call and I give my new card number so they can bill me. They do but the next month I got a crazy fee because my card got declined. (They never added the new one) when I called they said I had to go in so they could save my card info, that they couldn’t take payments over the phone which they never said before. so I end up having to pay a late fee of 10, my monthly dues of 15 and a declining fee of 39 dollars. Mind you for this one they did charge my new card… I thought they couldn’t since I never went in to give them the information.. hahahah these dumb asses can keep those extra 45 dollars. I cancelled!

This gym isn’t the worst. It has (two) bathrooms, working gym equipment, and cardio classes. That’s one star. It has those huge, thick, industrial workout ropes and… that’s another star. Everything else sucks.
The gym uses cloth towels instead of paper towels to wipe down gym equipment. I am a «green» person who is conscientious of my waste, so I get the resourcefulness of using towels, but it’s a use I disagree with. The towels are gross for the obvious reason.
I wish they had a water fountain. I normally drink water from the tap, so refilling from their bathroom sink isn’t a bother, but it’d be grand to have a water fountain to drink from on the days I forget my bottle.
The employees there aren’t what I call friendly, much less affable. There’s this older employee who doesn’t know how to navigate the computer and his sales pitch is the equivalent to an archetype of a salesman. He honestly vexes me so much that I cut my workout short if he talks to me.
The space where the classes take place is an open space, so the music for Zumba blasting in the entire gym and in order to hear music from my headphones, my volume is nearly at max.
If you go during the busy hours, it’s typical to find NO room/​space to execute stretches or other exercises. Well, the times that I have, I have other members literally stare at what I’m doing.
I come here like 1x or 2x a week because I dislike the gym.

1 and a half stars. This gym is horrible. All the equipment, including their free weights, are out of whack. The only piece of equipment that really drove me to getting a membership with them was their calisthenic workout cage. It’s quite impressive actually. But other than that, everything is really old and worn down, nothing is ever in it’s place, & it’s really tiny. I’d rather pay $ 10 a month for a very well organized and well equipped gym like Crunch Fitness over at Plaza Bonita :) I only canceled my membership with Crunch because of the commute.

This is the grossest gym I have ever been seen. The machines look like they get cleaned once a day and the rag hanging on the wall that cleans them looks like it gets cleaned once a year.
There is no shower, no locker room, just a creepy closet where you can change if you dare.
I went to the yoga class and the teacher refused to speak English and teaches only in Spanish. Also the classes are held in the middle of the gym, no walls or anything. Doing yoga while some guy is grunting next to you is not ideal.
I bought a groupon for 3mos and went twice, I would rather waste my money then step in that place again.

Horrible service machines always broken, my trainer was always late for our appointments.

Too small, too crowded, every other day machines stop working, running machines are always occupied, and they say they charge 10 dlls no contract, yeah sure after you pay 100 dollars membership activation fee and you pay this one way or the other. Only thing kind of worth something here are the morning and evening classes. I rather pay more for better service, and off to another gym I go.
Fail Gym

Great gym! I love the body combat classes with Paco and Iris! They are great instructors! Great personal trainers and the staff is very helpful and friendly. They are month to month, daycare and really affordable prices!

I printed a 3 day pass from the internet, and after going there once, I was back the next day to join. I’ve taken classes with 3 different instructors and I have enjoyed each one. The customer service here is good. I had never been to a gym before, but the staff has made me feel very comfortable, taking time to show me how the machines work.
I love group classes and there are plenty here to choose from. Classes are held every day except Sunday. I’m looking forward to trying many of them.
Overall, this has been a great experience. The price is good also.

24 hour fitness — 32 a month for basic membership (weigts cardio, yoga)
family gym — 18.50 a month (includes the 39 a year fee) — weight, cardio, zumba, and other group exercise amenities
so for half the price you get about the same price benefits as to 24.
parking? few parking spots. Especially during zumba (mornings)
Customer service? good for a gym.
atmosphere? the vibe is good.
if you live close to this place and in need of a month-​to month gym, try it out.
they even have a kids gym.

A gym membership which includes many fitness classes (body combat, zumba, dance, pilates) 6 days a week for only $ 15. Yes, please!
This gym is decently sized and offers all the cardio and weights needed. It’s actually bigger than some of the 24 hour gyms I have been to (back when I had a membership).
Overall, this gym has all I need and the price is definitely great :]
