Fix Auto Chula Vista

This place needs to get their shit together!
Long story so let me try and make it short.
On mothers day some not so bright kid hit my drivers side rear view mirror and broke it off.
I’ve got a 2003 Saturn L300. His fault.
Whatta inconvenience!!! welp folks, it has become an even greater one now.
Took my car here (was referred by insurance company) 2 days after accident once insurance (AAA by the way) handled what they needed to. Was greeted with fast and friendly service. Was given a $ 387 estimate which was going to be sent to my insurance.
Was told my part would be ordered, color matched, painted and I’d recieve a phone call to bring my car back in for install. Was also told install would take only 30 mins so I wouldn’t need to plan to leave my car.
Cool– right… so I leave… over 2 weeks went by and I heard not a peep from this place or Jared over at AAA. SO, I go ahead and place a call over to Fix Collision to figure out what’s the deal.
The girl who answered, after looking up my file, responds «Yes, we recieved the part last Monday»…confused, I go ummmm ok… slight pause, and she goes. want to bring it in on Monday… reminded her Monday is a holiday… so goes oooohhhhhhh yeeeaaahhh…(giggle).
I than go how about Tuesday? .8:30?.. great…see u than…
Soooooooo, I show up on Tuesday. My car is taken to the back… about 10 min later, I’m asked of I’m planning on waiting the whole day for my vechile??? K, I’m totally confused and I respond… no, I that wasn’t the plan!
Apparently they never painted the mirror!!!
Okay, I can deal with that. outside of being inconvenienced more than I already have been.
Was assured I’d recieve a phone call in the afternoon to bring it back up.
No call — —
this morning I recieve the call it’s ready for install. Show up, they install… and apparently they aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed, because it is not mounted properly. Which could indicate 2 things. A: The daryl who installed it was new and has no clue what they are doing and needs better training or B: there is further damage to the vechile than just replacing something as simple as a mirror.
How this got past people who specialize in this field is beyond me???
I am now faced with even more inconvenience as I have to take it back in the morning because they dropped the ball
Dude…they have a huge saying on their wall in the front office about Costumers this, and that, how we are the most important, and without us, they wouldn’t have a job sorta stuff… seriously, ya’ll should think about what a pure utter inconvenience u cause us because u didn’t do the job the right way to begin with… I am not involved in many accidents, but I will never return to this establishment or refer any buddies in the future…

I took my car to get fixed. Tony was the one who helped me and promised the car would be done in 4 days. At first he told me to take it in on a Friday but I pressed him more to tell me the truth and he told me if I were to take my car in on Friday would «just sit in» Friday and the weekend without being worked. Then I told him I had stuff to do and he said to then take it in on Monday the 25^th. He told me would take 4 days. When I got there another man told me wouldn’t take 4 days and when Tony came out I did tell him in front of the other man he promised 4 days then he changed saying not sure. He told me he would call me on Monday and I didn’t get a call from him until Tuesday (so my car just sat there without being worked at all all Monday). Then he told me my insurance would pay $ 200 deductible and sold me on paying $ 100 for some other stuff which I said yes then he proceeded to tell me for sure my car would be done today, 4 days again. Thursday (today) comes around, is 3pm and no phone call from Tony so I called him. He doesn’t call me till after 35 minutes saying the car won’t be done today. Then I asked him when and I had to call him today since he didn’t call me, at least a courtesy call. Tony did call me today at 11 am to let me know my car would be done by 3pm which is good. Went to pick it up at 3pm today. they checked the alignment and Tony gave me a discount on extra stuff.

USAA took care everything for us, and made appointment for us to get our car fix… Fix Auto people are very nice and helpful. quick service and even called car rental for us… Made our transaction fast and easy for us.

My 2007 Yukon XL was hit while parked in a store parking lot. I had quite a bit of damage to my front bumper. My insurance recommended Fix Auto. They replaced the front bumper. I couldn’t believe it when they called to let my husband know that my vehicle was ready in just two days. My vehicle looks good as new! They even touched up a nasty scratch I had on the back bumper. They did a wonderful job!

The location is very convenient for me so I gave it a shot. They work with most insurance companies like USAA and State Farm, and they are military friendly. Enterprise and Hertz will pick you up from base and take you to this location. When I got there, Sandra greeted me and Javier helped me out with the estimate. The owner came out with his dog, Hooter, (a cutie) and offered me something to drink. I felt everyone treated me with respect and they all were very professional. So I had my car repaired and I was very satisfied with the work and they had the rear bumper repaired in two days, as promised. Carlos received my car and helped me move my things from the rental car back to my car. Carlos and Roger took care of my car, it had the same gas level as the day I dropped the car off (I verified this when I dropped off and picked up the car based on some reviews claiming that their gas was siphoned). In addition, at not at my request, my car was washed, clean inside, with tires shined! Now that was a very pleasant surprise! I highly recommend this place, two thumbs up!

I have needed the expertise of Greenwald’s, now renamed Fix Auto Chula Vista, on two occasions in the past two years. Both of our new Toyotas required work done to repair a scratch from a rock-​throwing child and repair the results of a rear-​end collision from a careless driver. The intake of our cars was similar. Both times we were politely and professionally greeted. The damage was assessed and we were provided with an estimate in a timely manner. I appreciate their coordination with the rental car company and my insurance company to make the whole process as smooth was reasonably possible. The repairs were superb. We were updated every few days. The scratched car took 3 days. The rear-​ended car took 7 business days, as it was a rather involved repair. Thanks Fix Auto Chula Vista!

If I could give a negative star, it would be well deserved. PLEASE take the time to read this.
So my husband and I were around the corner from this place at Sunsett Paint and Body Works getting an estimate (GREAT place, AWESOME service btw) when we noticed Greenwald’s. After we got our estimate (in 7 minutes) from Sunsett we decided to go over to Greenwald’s for a second estimate, BIG MISTAKE!
We walked in and were somewhat greeted by two ladies sitting behind the counter. They handed us a piece of paper to fill out and that was pretty much the extent of conversation other than telling us someone would be out shortly. Not very friendly AT ALL.
Out comes Tony to assist us with an estimate. This guy at least had personality and engaged in conversation with us. Anyways, after he was done he explained to us that in order to get their lifetime warranty on the repair that they would need to completely strip the bumper. Which was fine, we just asked if he would please put that in the estimate so the person who was paying for it would see what he is paying for. He said «no problem», BUT apparently it was a problem. First of all, he asked us if we wanted to wait for the estimate or he said he could just email it to us. We didn’t think it would be a big deal for him to email it to us, that way we could just leave and enjoy the rest of our friday afternoon. BIG mistake! We didn’t get the estimate until Monday afternoon. Had I known I would of had to wait days for it, I would of just sat there for 10 minutes and got it handed to me.
So I get the email estimate, however it is missing the pricing of the stripping of the bumper which I specifically requested to be included. Wonderful. So I emailed him back right away requesting the FULL estimate. That was Monday 6/​16, today is ⁶⁄₁₈ and I am still waiting for a response. I decided to email him yet again to see if I get a response.
Chances are we will NOT be going with this establishment. Not sure how much trust I have in a company that doesn’t focus on excellent customer service. It’s a shame.

This is the last place I would ever go to get my car fixed. I took my car back to the shop after it was fixed because I was not satisfied with the work. They said that I had a lifetime warranty to get it fixed again if I was not satisfied. What a lie that was! It was completely worthless, because they insisted that this poor workmanship was not their own and refused to honor the warranty — and even assured me that I must have been involved in another accident! How stupid is that?! Then again I don’t blame them, because I’d be ashamed to recognize that crummy work as my own as well. Just do yourself and your car a favor and don’t even bother driving by here.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of having my parked car hit in a parking lot. My insurance sent me to Greenwalds Fix Auto. I’m glad and very happy they did. The people there were VERY FRIENDLY, VERY PLEASANT, VERY COURTEOUS and VERY PROFESSIONAL. They asked me if my car was driveable. I told them it was and to save me money on a rental, they said to keep driving my car until the parts were delivered. I did as they suggested. Saved money on renting a car and when the parts came in, so did I. Only took a day. WOW!!! When my car was done, I saw to my amazement it was WASHED, VACUMED and DETAILED. Can I say WOW!!! again. I will definitely go to them for any future repairs. I love that place and highly recommended them…

Take your car here! USAA partner. VERY military friendly. Great work and done fast! Cannot say enough good things about this business. Third time I have had different work done there. Friendly, courteous and customer service oriented. They did some insurance repairs on my Chevy Avalanche recently and it looks like the day I bought it. Worked with me to repair other places at a great price. All my auto-​body work will be going to them.

I’ve had two cars repaired here, one in 2006 and one a few weeks ago. They have a very good paint and body team that can do wonders with a car. They keep you informed every step of the way and have finished ahead of schedule both times on my repairs. Hopefully I don’t need another repair shop, but if I do – Greenwald’s (Fix Auto now) will be my first phone call.

I’ve had the unfortunate pleasure of having 3 accidents in my lifetime. Each time I have taken my car here. They are very professional, use the best replacement parts and stay in contact with you to keep you informed. This is a trustworthy business. They earned my future business for sure.

The whole team is very friendly. On top of their kindness is lots of knowledge and care. They are willing to look at the car with you, go over what needs to be fixed, go over what they fixed… and they do so with you feeling like a customer they are happy to help. I was referred by my insurance. Hope I never need to come back, but am grateful for their service!

These guys are great. I’ve been there a couple of times. They were recommended by AAA after I was in a hit and run. Someone hit the wifes car, I went back because I was pleased with their sevice and quality of work. Then a drunk drive totaled my car, I went back again. They’re all about service and don’t cut on quality like some shops who’ll slap it full of bondo.

Great team with friendly service! I love that they open early so you can drop off your car and get on with the rest of your day while they take care of your car. Two thumbs up or in this case, 5 stars!

Wow!!! What a great experience I had with this repair shop! Dustin and team did an awesome job with my fender, headlight and matching paint. It looks like a brand new car for a 2000! For all the pain and hassle I went through with the other driver’s insurance company, Greenwald’s made up for it in professional and friendly customer service as well as superb craftmanship and attention to detail!!! I am a happy camper and I whole heartedly recommend them to anyone needing autobody and framework done!
