The dentists and dental hygenists were really professional, enthusiastic for working and really clear to understand to explain about my teeth.
I can’t say anything about the other staffs because if I say the comments about these staffs, the society of whatever will avoid me.
Once again, the dentists and dental hygenist were really professional.

I changed my dentist to here about year ago, Dr. Rastegar is very professional and staff are very friendly. I am very satisfied and glad to found this dentist ;)

I checked all review of this place.
The best action to take for those who have legitimate complaints is to go through the Better Business Bureau. Start a class action lawsuit to put them out of business. Comments alone on Unilocal will not suffice. Sue Them if what your saying can be proved in court.

I had a really awesome experience at the Smile Makeover Center. Years ago, as a child growing up in MN, I had a hockey accident that knocked out my front tooth. Consequently, I’ve experienced plenty of dentists over the years. Recently, I had some pretty major dental work done by Dr. Farhoud Rastegar. The whole process required three several-​hour visits. Dr. Rastegar is a diamond in the rough. He has been my dentist for several years and is consistently good natured, professional, and has an eye for detail. He truly seems to enjoy his work and his patients. I’ve referred several friends and clients to the Smile Makeover Center and have only received positive feedback. I’ve also experienced courteous and professional support from the staff. The office has a positive and welcoming feel to it. I highly recommend the Smile Makeover Center for your dental needs.

When I first moved to San Diego (15 years ago) I tried out several different dentists and had several bad experiences. So finally I called 1−800-DENTIST and Dr. Rastegar at Smile Makeover came highly recommended. That was more than 8 years ago and I have never had a bad experience there. Dr. Rastegar is the friendliest person I know and always asks a thoughtful question or has something nice to say. He’s the kind of person you want to ask for advice on how to live happily and peacefully. I can honestly say the very worst experience I had there was ONE time (in 8 years) when I had to wait 15 minutes before my appointment. That’s the WORST that has happened. So I guess this gives kudos to 1−800-DENTIST more than anything for such a great find. Now if only there was a 1−800-HAIRSYLIST!

I am just writing to inform everyone about my wonderful experience at Smile Makeover Center. I had an excruciating toothache and have always had a horrible fear of the dental office, but Dr. Rastegar and his staff did everything they could to put my mind at ease. From the office manager to the back office assistants, everyone made sure to keep me comfortable and informed. Dr. Rastegar and his staff are very professional and kind and I would recommend them to everyone!

What a great dentist! I am so glad I changed my dentist. They have beautiful offices. They made me feel so comfortable. Can’t say enough good things!

I went here mostly because they had an opening almost immediately, and I was in pain. The staff was courteous and professional. The doctor was thorough and had a very nice manner about him. The hygenist was HOT and she knew it, and intentionally lunged her heaving breasts in my face a few times without any complaint from me. I have no dental insurance. They gave me a 20% discount for paying with cash, but only after I asked for it. They also referred me to a dental surgeon Dr. Quesnell who did my root canal. See my separate review for him. After the root canal, Dr. Rastegar finished the job with a nice new crown which matches my tooth color perfectly. All the pain is gone and I can finally chew on both sides of my mouth again.

Do not go to this dentist. The staff are rude and horrible. Dental work is overpriced and dentist is unpleasant. The whole office is seems like a sham just trying to get your money. Avoid this place!

I actually really do like Dr. Rastegar, he’s very nice and professional and truly does care. My beef is with his deplorable staff. Not only are they unprofessional, but they treat people like shit. For example, I had a teeth cleaning scheduled (scheduled back months prior) and I unfortunately had to go in for an emergency root canal, which Dr. Rastegar even confirmed I needed! Ok, so it gets better. I’m a Reservist in the Army, and I have coverage through the VA, and I went there for the emergency service b/​c Dr. Rastegar wasn’t able to get me in that day or the next (I was in pain!!).
Anyway, the next thing I know is that I received a bill in the mail stating that I owe $ 50 for a cancellation fee for that cleaning appointment! I called and asked why I was receiving a bill for a service that Dr. Rastegar acknowledged that I get done on an emergent basis, and the less than plesant front desk girl told me that I should have got my teeth cleaning and moved my emergency root canal to a later day. No LIE. I think I asked her if we were on the same planet, b/​c that is just freaken retarded. She told me that I needed a letter from my Endodontist stating who/​what/​when/​why/​how about my root canal to VERIFY that I actually got it done! Like I’m going to LIE about a damn root canal. I’m telling you, unprofessional.
Now, I received yet again, another billing notice after I told these people to close my account. Again, I was intercepted by the same girl, and I asked this time to speak to the office manager. She told me that she was there. I asked if she was the manager and she said no, but she takes care of the accounts. So now she’s lying saying that she’s a manager when she indeed is NOT. Wonderful, right? I reminded her that I spoke with her about this billing issue back when I got the root canal done, and she acknowledged and told me that I still need to get the paperwork. I TALKED TO HER WHEN I WAS IN MY ENDODONTISTS OFFICE AND SHE TALKED WITH THE RECEPTIONIST! I’m telling you, NOT professional. Lastly, before I hung up on her, I told her that she could call my Endodontist’s office to ask personally that I was there, and well, she told me flat out that she DOESN’T have the time to do that. Well guess what, neither do I!
Just note that if you want great service, please, please, PLEASE go somewhere else. Dr. Rastegar again is a great guy, but the staff is so disgusting that you couldn’t PAY me to go back there. Trust me, if you’re into being treated like shit and reminded that you don’t matter, you can go here, but for the rest of you honest people that have dignity —
STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM EXTREME SMILE MAKEOVER CENTER! THE STAFF SUCKS!
