Sage Exterminators

I’ve dealt with over 50 termite companies as a real estate broker. I have never had the level of response, professionalism, and workmanship that Sage provides. I highly recommend Jason and his team at Sage for any work requiring an exterminator. I would have given 6 stars if it was an option.

Our first experience with this company was 5 stars. Jason did the termite treatment on our home before we purchased it and within a year we had a swarm come into our screen room. I called Jason back, he came out and treated the wood and told us a little about the heat and swarms. A year later (now) I noticed we had some termite droppings around our back room and in the garage. I figured since he was so helpful and on top of things I would call Sage Exterminators again. I told the phone operator that Jason had treated our house previously and we have new damage that I know is not covered by warranty but we need it treated. A couple days later I received a call from Lucas. He set up a time to come look at the damage. When he got there and I explained the story of Jason being there before, immediately he stopped inspecting and said that he needs to talk to Jason and Jason would have to come back. He said that Jason would probably treat it for close to nothing but that the house should be tented. I agreed and waited to hear back. A week later I called Lucas back to find out if he had spoken to Jason, I had to leave a message. I got a call back (voicemail) from Lucas saying that Jason is going to take care of it but he remembers telling us that the house needed to be tented before (Maybe the previous owners?) We figured no problem we can have it tented and I called Jason as instructed buy Lucas’ message. I have called Sage Exterminators 4 times now and have yet to hear back. I have left messages informing them that we would like the treatment and to get a quote to have it tented as soon as October. I am so unhappy with the switch in customer service. I will not recommend Sage Exterminators to anyone.

I am very impressed with Jason’s professionalism and attention to detail. We have a property in Julian so the pickings are slim as far as contractors and service people up there. We called Jason for termite treatment simply because he had already done the termite inspection report when we purchased the place so he had some familiarity with the property. He stuck to the price quoted in the original inspection report and did not change the cost once he «re-​evaluated the property» etc. It was nice to know we could leave the property and trust Jason to lock up for us and shut the water off when he left since we wouldn’t be back for a week. After he finished the work, he sent a full detailed report via email letting us know how it went giving us peace of mind immediately. Jason is a down to earth guy whom you can trust to complete the job. We will definitely use Sage Exterminators again (but hopefully we don’t need to!).

I’ve been using Jason at Sage exclusively since he first opened up shop (and a while before that, actually). I take inspectors seriously (see my review on here of my home inspector), and Jason is as detailed and professional as any pest control guy I’ve ever come across.
On properties I’m selling, I can trust him to give me a thorough inspection and to get work done at a reasonable price, not gouging my sellers but making sure a new buyer is walking into a property that’s completely bug/​rot free.
When I’m representing buyers, I’ll sometimes have Jason come in and double-​check another company’s work — frequently we find that others (not named here) have overlooked obvious problems or even faked treatment, charging for work that wasn’t performed. I’ve even had other agents choose to use Sage over their preferred contractors when they’re provided with his reports.
Finally, I’ve referred Sage to friends and former customers that I’m not doing business with — the only times I’ve ever heard back from any of them is to thank me for putting them in touch with Jason. The people I choose to do business with reflect directly on the kind of businessman that I am myself, and I’m proud to say Sage is the kind of company I’ll call time and again without hesitation.

Sage Exterminators is a wonderful company. We are about to use the company again for the third straight year. We initially had an ant infestation three years ago. We did everything we could to combat the little pests on our own, but they overran us. We called Jason at Sage and he came out right away at our convenience. He did a fantastic job! Jason sprayed inside and outside our home and was able to work around our pets leaving them safe areas to roam. Yet he was able to totally eliminate the ants. He mentioned that there may be some stragglers that show up a week or two after the spray and he would come back if needed. But we never saw another ant until the following year. Jason did a great job! That’s why we will continue to hire Sage year after year. Great service and even better results!

Highly recommend. Jason is very friendly and flexible with scheduling not to mention the prices are extremely fair. I’ll definitely be referring Sage to my friends and family.
