S&D Moving Company

This review is long overdue. I used S&D moving for a long-​distance move these guys came in had everything wrapped perfectly I mean to perfection I was very worried because I am a musician and have lots of equipment that was needed for a gig in a few weeks. All of my personal belongings arrived in San Diego perfect condition only problem was that since it was long distance I did not have access to my belongings immediately that was part of the move because of delivery dates which was early by the way but the main reason for this review is that because when my stuff arrived at the day before the delivery date I really needed all of my guitars for a gig these guys were so nice that they tracked it down in their warehouse and pulled my equipment so I can make my gig. hey I got to pay my bills. 10 stars to S and D for going above and beyond to take care of me I will never use another company as long as a CD is around. I’ve never been a huge fan of moving. It’s always a hassle, moving things out and trying to make sure that nothing is broken or lost. So, you can imagine my surprise when I hired S&D movers. Nothing was broken or damaged, my boxes and furniture were all packed and placed in my new house exactly as I asked for. I barely even needed to be there! It was a great deal, a great service, and a great decision. S&D movers did everything I requested, and they were friendly and professional. I highly recommend this company for anyone.

So let me just start off by saying I usually don’t hire moving companies I am a pipefitter by trade so I’m used to doing very hard work, that being said, because of time restraints my wife and I had to hire a moving company. with her being pregnant and me working out of the county we need to get this move done ASAP. We hired S&D moving because the great Unilocal reviews but also we had a friend that use them 2 years ago and they also had a wonderful experience. The guys showed up very well prepared with all the necessary tools to disassemble the furniture in my house they also brought wardrobe boxes rest to use for free! There were a few items that I was not sure of how to pack so I had the movers to come for me like my TVs and some other fragile glass items (by the way we did an epic job), by the time it was all said and done I couldn’t believe that in the past I have moved without calling a moving company. never ever ever again will I move myself lol.

Hi everybody… I called S&D Movers to help me with my move this past week and these guys didn’t disappoint.
My first contact was with mike in the office, I booked my move for just the labor and I was going to pack all my own stuff. Well… as you know, things never go as planed and because my job has me traveling a lot I was unable to finish packing. When Mike called to confirm my move for the next morning, I let him know I had not finished. He was so very accommodating, gave me a new rate for packing and, took care of all my stress.
The morning of the move the guys showed up with all the packing boxes and supplies and got to work. My town home in mission valley is a tri-​level home, so this was very impressive. George had his crew wrap all my belongings with the big mover pads, I had a few antique pieces of furniture that they gave extra care to by making crates to protect them. They disassembled my beds and really went above my expectations (I’m soooo thankful for that). I’ve already recommended S&D to many of clients .

I used S&D moving last week to move to LA. they made my move so easy! I’m planning to move back to SD next year. Will use them to move me back for sure!

I am not a frequent Unilocaler… and this review is not a fake… nobody paid me to write this. These guys were literally the best movers I’ve ever hired. Not only were they super careful with all my expensive furniture, but they were extremely courteous too. These guys didnt milk the clock, worked as fast as possible and got the job done right. I highly, highly recommend these guys. Chris, the foreman of the group was extremely professional. His two guys were on point too. I had some really heavy stuff… marble tables… italian sofas… not one scratch or dent on anything. Not one piece of furniture touched my walls at my old place and new place. They took apart beds and put them back together. They wrapped all the glass. I could go on and on… but I think you get the point. Basically I’d give them six stars if I could.

I found this company on Unilocal and liked the reviews. I had them out today and they were everything I hoped they would be, fast, efficient, polite, and I would use them again anytime.

I couldn’t be happier with the crew who helped us with our move on 7÷24÷15. They worked efficiently and quickly. I needed help with moving the big and heavy items for a family of four and they got us in and out in six hours. They wrapped my couches and furniture, dismantled our beds and shelves, and re-​assembled them so we could have a night’s rest in our new home. They all did back breaking work with humor and cheerful attitudes. Moving is labor intensive and they made it so much easier and more importantly less stressful for my family. Thank you, guys!

This moving company is the BEST!!! I would recommend them to anyone. Among all moving companies they are the friendliest and most reliable in San Diego. I’ve called several companies, but after talking to Chris I was confident that these movers would get it done fast and easy!
They are prompt (arrived 10 minutes before the time), professional and responsible (wrapped all furniture and take care of all fragile staff), polite (very neat and open minded). I couldn’t ask for more! They made my move stress free, worry less and quick!!! I’ll use them again!!! THANK YOU S&D MOVERSl!!!

I had a wonderful experience with S&D Movers and would recommend them wholeheartedly. From the booking process through the offload, it was a pleasure working with them. I’ve moved to Austin, Seattle, Philadelphia, Chicago, and 3 times within San Diego. I haven’t had an actually good moving experience until now.
George and David were extremely professional, courteous, and diligent in helping me move from my apartment to a 3^rd floor townhome on 6÷12÷2015.
From the start, they kept me updated on everything and provided foresight into potential issues, so that my move would be able to happen without a hitch.
They called me 2 days before the move, as well as 30 minutes prior to their arrival, to double and triple-​check that they had everything they needed for my move to be a great one. They were willing to accommodate any last-​minute needs I had.
I wasn’t expecting more packing to happen on the day of the move, but George and David brought extra boxes just in case and worked extremely hard in the heat and humidity with a serious sense of duty.
They are extremely personable and honest gentlemen with a work ethic I believe many would envy. They volunteered to wrap and pack anything I needed, and their professional judgment was on point.
I work as a medical doctor and expect constant communication and excellence, which these gentlemen provided, to the equivalent of a highly competent physician working with the sickest of ICU patients.
S&D Movers provided the most competitive rate and the most discipline, attention to detail, and the highest level of care for fragile objects that I’ve seen.
The work George and David does reflects very well on S&D Movers and I would recommend them to friends and family.

What a great experience! When I called to set up my move, Mike answered the phone and was really nice. He didn’t try to scam me into getting more movers than I needed, and didn’t talk to me like a sales guy (unlike some other places I called). He followed up quickly to all my emails — I felt very taken care of.
On moving day, I told my movers George and David I was on a budget and they worked PERFECTLY within the time frame, with a few minutes to spare! They really hustled when they didn’t have to, they were completely professional and made moving feel easy.
This was the least stressful move I’ve ever had. Thanks guys!

I never used a moving company before but my cousin recommended these guys and it was the best decision I’ve ever made, these guys were punctual, professional and very courteous, I highly recommend these guys to anyone that’s trying to move without the hassle.

If you are looking for professional movers, those movers are S & D Moving Company. I have used S & D Moving Company on two occasions and I can’t say enough good things about them. I just have to recommend them to everybody. Whether you want to move next day, next week or next month, you need to take your chance of using the best movers in the country.

This moving company was great! Manny and his partner were amazing! They called to let me know exactly when they would be there and got the job done super fast! I lost my key during the move and they were so nice and helped me find it! I would highly recommend them!

As a REALTOR I recommend S&D Moving Company to all my clients. They are well organized, professional and courteous. They charge by the hour and at no point do they ever slack or slow down. They handle your belongings with such care, from disassembly to reassembly. Items get shrink wrapped, covered in blankets, etc. They are upfront in their dealings informing you of any extra cost on items that get used like boxes, tape etc. (Because they need to replenish supplies) I always inform my clients to pack their personal items like clothes, jewelry, kitchen, etc. in boxes and let the movers do the rest. That doesn’t mean they will not do your personal items it just helps to minimize the time it takes them to move. (since they are hourly) The movers that I will always request are George, Chris and Alfredo. I’ve never seen a move go more smooth. Oh yah, and… they even knew how to remove and replace an entire window from an upstairs bedroom to move a big couch through it from the outside ground floor. AMAZING. I got it on video! Update* I failed to mention the movers broke my neighbors window as they were moving in. They immediately brought this to my attention and exchanged info with the apartment management. This happened March 24^th. It is now April 14^th, moving company received the estimate on the 30^th and 5 phone calls, 2 voicemails to their fake claims department and 2 emails later neither myself or the apt. mngt. has heard a word from the moving company on resolving this issue. Now my apartment complex is trying to charge me for something the moving company did and they are not responding to any comunications. USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

These guys are professional, fast and efficient. They made my moving experience stress free and I truly appreciate that. I would recommend these guys, Jesus & Luis to anyone who wants the job done right. Thanks S&D Moving for getting me moved into my new home!
