Royal Nails and Spa has been my go-​to for a long time. Everyone is kind, skilled, and they ask exactly what you want… and then deliver perfectly. I called this morning at nine and they fit me in with a fill appointment with Michelle (awesome), and Kathy did a fantastic job on my spa pedicure. Her leg and foot massage skills are great and she even helped me decide which color to choose. I have had Joann before as well, and she is also wonderful. Cannot imagine going anywhere else!

I always go see Jenny every two weeks & she’s very detailed & is very clean when it comes to gel nails & design. She is current on the latest styles and trends & the shop has tons and tons of gel colors and brands.

I’ve gone to Royal Nails for over 10 years for gel nails, pedis, facials and massages and I’ve never been disappointed! Michelle and her staff are always very personable, friendly and willing to please. Their prices are very reasonable and I believe I get a good value as I’m very hard on my nails, but they last over 3 weeks before my next fill and I always get compliments on my nails. Give Michelle a call, you won’t be disappointed!

It was my first time at Royal Nails. I called earlier that day & made an appt with Jenny (she was recommended to me) I have to admit I am very picky when it comes to my nails & usually have to ask the person to fix something. Jenny did an OUTSTANDING job! I told her that I wanted my nails to look very natural, & to make it a thin white french. I have been to many nails shops over the years & have never been so happy with my nails as I was today. The prices are a bit expensive, but I will definitely be coming back! I loved them! Thank you Jenny, you are the BEST!

HOLLY WAS INCREDIBLE. I’m very difficult to please with my acrylics, I require the perfect almond shape and pick apart any fraction of a flaw on my nails, but Holly did a beautiful job and I didn’t feel the need to nag her to fix or touch up anything through the process. Not once.

I come here for Joann’s fills and gel manicures. She is so great! Every time she does my nails they are exactly how I asked for, if not better! She’s wonderful and friendly. The reason I gave Royal Nails only 4 stars is because their prices are very high. It’s pretty ridiculous… BUT they do a great job and they usually always have time for you, even if you are a walk-​in.

I have been working with Michelle at Royal Nails and spa for 18 years. I have never gone to anyone else. I guess that’s a pretty good testimonial. All of her family members are good as well. Mimi, Tom, or Kathy.

I have come to this place for years and they always do a great job! They do it all here! Mani/​pedi, gel, eye lash extensions, wax, even teeth whitening! They are always nice, my manicures never are too rough and thy are reasonably priced! :) they do walk-​ins and work hard to accommodate everyone that comes in!

Royal Nails is the best! Great customer service and the ladies always make me feel comfortable. As a male going to a nail salon it is very important to feel comfortable and the staff does a great job at that! I recommend Royal Nails to anyone that wants quality work and great customer service!

The one guilty pleasure I indulge in is lash extensions. After a co-​worker recommended Michelle at Royal Nails about five years ago, I knew I could never trust anyone but Michelle to do my lashes. Soon all the ladies in my family, including co-​workers and friends, got their lashes done by Michelle. She is meticulous, gentle, and very professional. I have inquired other salons for this service and no one comes close in price and accommodation. My last visit was 5 weeks ago and I will be going in for touch ups next week! That’s a long time in between for extensions! And I only need a few to fill in some gaps! The lashes are super soft, so natural in feel and the glue is even better now than when I started. The compliments just keep on coming! The most common comment is that they look just like my own. Michelle always schedules me at my convenience, sometimes after hours, never rushes, and is always a joy to be around. I highly recommend Michelle for lash extensions and facials and any of the other staff for manis and pedis.

Omg I had to get back in here… Today is Sat and all of my nails have officially popped off… Seriously $ 50 never again.

Sadly this posting is long over due. I should have posted a long time ago but just thought I would get an apology from Michelle by now and move on. I had been going to Michelle for years and always had the same Friday 5:30pm appt. with one of my best friends for a few years every other Friday. Everything was great for 3 years and I loved going there. Then all of the sudden Michelle started being late even when I had an appt. I get it they are busy so waiting 10−15mins not a big deal. The first time she was 15mins late (this happened several times), second time was 20min late and then she was 30mins late. She had a demanding client in her chair that wanted her to change her Gel polish for the 3^rd time. Instead of telling the customer she could not change a 3^rd time she just did it and didn’t even care that I had an appt. and dinner plans after. Nor did she ask me if it was ok to wait longer or ask if I would like someone else to do my nails. I would of said of course someone else can do my nails this one time. After over 30mins she finally came over and I ask her if she could start being on-​time moving forward as I thought we had a great relationship. Instead of saying sorry and she would be on time in future Michelle completely FLIPPED out on me. Yelling, screaming and saying she couldn’t help it. I finally said I’m the customer too and deserve good customer service. She calmed down but was shaking so bad she could hardly work on my nails. I finally said just take the Gel off and I’ll go. My good friend and I run multi million dollar businesses and couldn’t believe how she flipped out on me as I was the customer and Michelle was completely in the wrong. I always thought she was so sweet but now that I’ve going other places I’ve heard horror stories about her. She not only is a very mean person but treats her clients and employees like garbage. The owner’s really need to reassess her position and find someone else to run their business. If you decide to go there DO NOT go to Michelle but ask for Mimi or Tru they are sweet ladies that know how to treat their clients. I’m with the posting from Wyy on 10÷31÷14 this place has gone downhill fast.

I used to love going to this place. It was friendly and family run. I especially liked Kim’s services. Unfortunately due to some family dispute Kim was kicked out. The next time I called and requested services with Jenny– who was supposedly a really great manicurist– I didn’t identify myself until they told me she was available all afternoon– I picked 3 pm left and gave my name — I got a call back am hour later saying now Jenny was booked all afternoon and wasn’t available– funny how just because your nice to someone results in them being rude to you! Too bad I’ll be taking my business elsewhere — I’ve been going here for over 7 years! Just shows you that they really must be talking about you as they’re doing your nails.

Love this place! Michelle is very sweet and super professional. She’s all about making customers happy. This place is probably the cleanest nail salon I’ve been to in San Diego. Their pedicure tubs are lined with plastic and their tools were all sanitized. I would never go somewhere else. They do everything from nails to waxing to tanning to eyelash extensions! AMAZING!!!

Took a lot of time and care in giving. me an excellent pedicure. The extra attention to the callous removal was with the extra $ 10. Holly was the BEST.

Jenny does an amazing job! It’s always a relaxing atmosphere and I feel spoiled great customer service and they are open 7 days a week and they accept walk ins as well as appointments.

Mimi is the best! Even when I arrive late-​she works me into her schedule and does a fantastic job! Always so sweet and knows exactly what I want.
One of the best place for a nails!

I’ve been here two or three times before, but wanting an impromptu Sunday pedicure, I was glad to know this salon is open on Sundays, since it is just a 2 – 3 minute drive from my house. I read some of the other reviews, and have to say, I realize that most salons of this ilk can be hit and miss. Today though was a hit!
Not too crowded, soft spa-​like music playing, friendly when I arrived, and spa chair ready for me right away. Clean towels on the chairs, friendly but not too chatty nail tech (I like to relax and be with my own thoughts more than I like to gab). The service took 30 minutes; not too long, not too short, I have to get home before my son’s naptime is over! Nice massage with both a salt scrub then the baby lotion. Toes look great, nothing to complain about. Very standard price.
Now I know where to go for my Sunday afternoon pedis!

JENNI. Jenni is my go to girl for a gel manicure. I get a gel polish manicure every 2 weeks and a pedicure.
I have tried many a nail salon and have never had it last this long. My nails grow incredibly fast and she knows just how to do it so they are strong and last.
I am not patient and love that they do my nails while im getting a pedicure.
Takes some attention on my part but I get out of there in an hour.
Foot rub and hand rub and shiny and pretty.

I’m immensely disenchanted by the pedicure I received at Royal Nails on Saturday morning. What many reviewers have said is true — the entire experience is rushed.
Every spa pedicure that I’ve ever had has been a 45 – 60 minute experience, at a minimum. The one I received by Kathy at Royal Nails was nothing but a disappointing, 10 – 15 minute wham-​bam-​thank you, mam job. By the time I had programmed my recliner to just the right settings for my back massage, Kathy said, «thank you,» packed her shit up, and then scurried to the back to prepare for her next customer. I was befuddled, to say the least, and didn’t know what had just happened. Indeed, my pedicure was over, and before I knew it I was paying $ 25 + tip for one of the worst treatments I’ve ever had.
Royal Nails obviously has a very loyal following. In fact, a very good friend of mine has been going there for years. I wonder if these people know what a real pedicure is supposed to be like? To each his/​her own. I, however, will be sticking to my go-​to place, Nail Care & Spa, on F Street when my footsies need pampering.
