Remington Moving & Storage

Absolute criminals. Do not use.
They damaged items; completely inept movers. They dragged a leather couch across the hand rail of a staircase, destroying the back (they were too lazy to cover the back with blankets). Items broken in box during move; rough handling/​elevator loading, poorly packed truck for the trip.
Insisted on using their own GPS instead of my directions and got lost on the way (I was only moving 5 miles away, i suspect this was intentional). Charged me for the time they spent lost (they actually triple charged me for the time they spent lost, see below)
Watch out for their scams:
— They will use California «double driving time» laws to «triple» charge you. (original time, plus driving time x 2 tacked onto the bill).
— One will be inside wrapping furniture with the blankets while the other guy will be making phone calls on the cell
— They will not give you a copy of the bill of lading, so when you make a claim for damage and overcharges with their claims service, the claim service will refuse to view the case until they get a copy. They will then refuse to provide the bill of lading to the claim service.
— Sandbaggers. They will move really slowly (took 2 hours to wrap furniture in blankets… no plastic wrap). They will stretch a 4 hour move out to 7 hours.
These guys caused more damage and overcharges then the entire cost of the move. Then they blocked the claim service from rendering arbitration.
Again, these are not bad movers… they are criminals and scam artists. beware!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They don’t show up on time and just fling stuff in boxes. I’m still unpacking and organizing because most of the boxes were marked fragile and nothing else. Items with multiple parts had the parts packed in different boxes just marked fragile. I still can’t make coffee because the carafe is still miasing. Its probably marked books. They had the nerve to want a tip when they didn’t even finish the job. I called several times to speak to Justin a «manager» and never received a call because i’m sure they knew they were shyster’s. I lost a lot of my belongs because i had yo be out. They are a horror with unskilled, uncaring kids who slam and bang your possessions into a van. They overcharged for services not ptovided. RUN DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY ARE LIARS AND TRY AND GET EVERY PENNY OUT OF YOU FOR NO WORK.

My boyfriend and I used this company twice in a three week period… Big mistake! The movers we hired to move our items from storage had a laundry list of damages thanks to the careless behavior of the Remington movers… Disappointing!

This is a reputable company but… their movers don’t have much respect for your household goods. They damaged several items of ours when it was put into storage, the next moving company we hired showed us where they had shrink wrapped our furniture then scooted it across a cement floor tearing the shrink wrap and our leather couch.
We were charged fairly with the exception of the credit card deposit we put down, 100 $ to secure the move date and if you pay in cash they drop the deposit charge. I had to call in to get the charge dropped… not something I should have to worry about.
