Rayna has a skill. She made my hair gorgeous with a reasonable price. I just walked in but only waited for 10 minutes until my turn. Overall, I am satisfied with their service.

I went in for a «body wave» and ended up receiving the worst perm ever… The stylist was extremely nice, but I could tell right away she didn’t have much experience in that arena.

I was visiting San Diego from back east. A couple weeks before I came I had a cut and perm professionally done. It was horrible. I was ready to just get my whole head shaved off. I didn’t know what to do then my friend, who I was visiting, suggested her stylist Rayna. I made an appointment and was so happy I did. Rayna took time to look at my hair and my concerns, she gave me some suggestions and some product ideas that would help calm my horrible perm down. She also gave me an amazing cut that calmed it down.
I was so thankful. I wish I could have taken her back home and keep her.

Had a great experience receiving a facial from Oasis’ esthetician Summer. Not only was the experience relaxing, but my skin was left glowing and feeling so healthy. Summer is very knowledgable and was very attentive to all of my questions, concerns and preferences. I scheduled my next facial with her the very day met with her.

The salon’s location is convenient if you live in UC or La Jolla, and it is nothing fancy, just friendly and comfortable. Both times I have called, they were able to schedule me right when I wanted to come in. I can highly recommend Rayna, who did my hair last time. She is a true artist when it comes to color and went above and beyond to get my highlights just like I wanted them. She listens to you and knows how to get the results you’re looking for. Her cut was exceptional, also, she left my hair just the right length with layers that actually work!

So glad Rayna is here now. Love this place and this girl. She’s the best, no one will ever touch my hair again besides her!

I would give 3.5 stars if I could, but I’m rounding up in this case. I’ve been here twice– once to get my hair cut and colored by Nicolette, and once to get my nails done.
First, hair. Nicolette is a really nice and personable. More importantly, she’s a great hair stylist who clearly knows what she is doing. She took the time to discuss my color service and look at swatches with me, and her meticulous attention to detail is where she stands out against other stylists. I’m pretty sure she evaluated every last hair on my head to make sure it was the right color and length, and I’m very happy with the service. She’s also just a little cheaper than what I think is the «average» price for getting my hair done. The downside to this is, it’s a very time-​consuming process. It took ~3 hours start to finish for my cut and color, and since I work full-​time and the salon closes at 7, this puts me in a difficult spot. My previous stylist used to be able to get me out in around 1.5−2 hours, which is more doable. If I end up not coming back, it would only be because of the length of the service.
Next, nails. I got a manicure and pedicure done by Hannah. This salon doesn’t have a massage chair, for which I dock a star. Massage chairs are pretty much requisite these days, because so many nail salons do have them and I’d rather go to one with a massage chair. Hannah seemed like a very nice lady. However, I noticed she kept reusing bits of paper towel or using the same wash cloth on different things (like to dry my nails and then mop up water) which struck me as a little unsanitary.
Finally, this shop is located inside of a condo complex (or maybe they’re apartments?) This means that the parking situation is a little weird, as you have to find guest parking inside the complex. I had some trouble finding parking when getting my hair done.
Long story short, I might come back here to get my hair done, if I find I can take an afternoon off, but if the timing is too inconvenient I may choose to go somewhere else. I would not come back here to get my nails done.

The reviews to this place is on POINT! I had an hair emergency and Victoria took me in as soon as she was free. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease. I had long hair and I wanted a new change, so I asked her to cut it short. (of course, showing her a picture). AND SHE ACTUALLY CUT IT EXACTLY the way I told her to cut it. USUALLY, hair stylists do whatever the hell they want. Victoria definitely knows what she is doing. I absolutely love my new short hair. She also gave me a discount for being a student! For broke college students, NOTHING GETS BETTER THAN THAT…

After more than ten years of going to the same hairstylist in LA, I was ready for a change as the commute was getting more exhausting and her haircuts weren’t satisfying me anymore.
I based my appointment with Nicolette on the reviews here and I was impressed. Her work is amazing. She knows what she’s doing because she’s put in the time to study the treatment of hair. She made sure she did not rush anything for my appointment and even gave me her most honest opinion about everything – which means a lot. At the end of the day I know nothing about hair, so even if I want something done for my hair, I want my stylist to tell me the pros and cons of my actions, and Nico explained everything thoroughly.
I hadn’t touched up my dark roots and highlights in one year. Nico transformed my long hair with a beautiful light brown color with a freshly layered cut. That’s another thing – she didn’t cut off too much hair, and my hair is still healthy! I loved it. Needless to say, I’ve already scheduled my next touch-​up appointment with her and found my new favorite salon.

I have many wonderful things to say about Oasis salon and the women that work there!
My stylist, Nicolette, has transformed my hair! About 6 months ago, she saved me from a bad experience with skinweft extensions. I loved the look of them, but they were totally wrong for my hair type, which is naturally very curly, and I ended up with a big knot of hair in the back of my head and we had to cut in out. I couldn’t have conceived how bad it could get. Nicolette helped me take them out and now, I only use the brand she prefers, which are individual clamp in strands of scandinavian hair. I’ve had these for almost 6 months and they are SO much better for my hair type! The texture of hair is super silky smooth and the great part is that the hair quality is so good, that you don’t have to replace them as often. We recently did a new highlight/​lowlight boost to my blonde and I totally love it. Nicolette is fabulous!
I’ve had great experiences with Victoria, the manager. She recently let me hold a few Bridal updo trainings in her location for my Makeup & Hair styling team training, which was so sweet! She is very down to earth and sweet to everyone. Always smiling.
It’s so nice when you can come in to a salon atmosphere and feel relaxed. It’s very quiet and serene there. I’ve enjoyed all of my experiences here– thanks everyone!

I got my hair cut here three times while I was interning in San Diego, always by Nicolette. The second time I was in there, she said she was going to give me the best haircut of my life… and then she actually did (but don’t tell my hairdresser back home).
There are a lot of things I like about Nicolette. After seeing me once, she remembered me and my hair and which parts of it don’t behave. She figured out what techniques work best for my hair (dry and with a razor, if you’re curious). She was flexible with scheduling when something came up at work. She was always personable and she clearly enjoys what she does.
One other thing — I’m pretty bad at hair/​fashion/​makeup type stuff, but Nicolette never patronized me. She even fixed a damaged chunk of hair without making me feel like an idiot for damaging it. If I end up in San Diego again, I will absolutely put her in charge of my hair.

I called 45 min before I went in and they were able to take me for a badly needed haircut! And it lived up to every expectation! I have really thick hair so it is really difficult to get a good hair cut. I’m definitely going back!

First time at this salon and I was very pleased. Victoria the owner was very nice and knowledgeable. She listen to my needs and delivered what I asked for. Salon was clean and prices were reasonable.

I admired a local makeup artist’s hairstyle so much that I had to call her place of business the next day and ask who had created the style. I ended up at Oasis Salon in Victoria’s chair the next day.
Victoria herself is very personable, she took the time to listen to what I wanted, made me feel very comfortable, and went to work. I was thrilled with the result… still am! I really think I should have taken a before picture. My hair looks so much fuller and, despite the very reasonable prices, expensive. Plus, it only takes half the time to style. It looks professionally done every day despite my untrained hands.
My boyfriend couldn’t get over how beautiful I looked when I got home from Oasis and my family was full of compliments when I went home for a visit a few days later. I’m enjoying this confidence so much and I have one sweet lady to thank; Victoria! I’m definitely a fan!
