A group of us parked in the lot early on a Saturday morning. We went for a short bike ride and then came back to patronize the ice cream shop nextdoor. The owner of Evian Salon called a tow truck and had one of our riders’ cars towed. IT IS A PUBLIC PARKING LOT! ON A SATURDAY MORNING NO LESS! What a horrible person. I will never patronize his salon. He ruined our day.

Im almost embarrassed to post yet again. To my defence it’s been a while. Brittney Fordyce out did herself again. She tried a new product for blondes. My hair is amazing!!! The highlights bright white blonde pieces, my base the most beautiful blonde. Thank you again for making a beautiful blonde out if me! l

This salon is just okay. The salon its self is really nice and they sell amazing hair products. My favorite brand is Shu Uemura. The brand is very expensive but leaves my hair looking and feeling amazing. They have a deep conditioning treatment from this brand that I absolutely love to get done at the salon from time to time. Okay so now to the bad part of my experience with this salon. I went there originally to get my hair colored to a darker brown tone since my hair was a lighter brown. I told Ashley (the hair stylist) that I wanted it to be a darker shade from what I had and explained to her that I wanted it a chocolate brown and what she gave me was way darker than what I wanted. When she was blow drying my hair I noticed that it looked extremely dark. When I asked her what color my hair was she told me a dark chocolate brown. What she really meant was that my hair was almost black. Well every person that saw me with my new hair color said «oh you dyed your hair black?». Great I have never had my hair this dark before in my life. Thanks Ashley for not giving me the hair color I wanted. Of course since then I have gone to other salons trying to fix the damage done by her. I’m pretty pissed off since they charged me so much to do a job on me that I hate. I actually waited for a while to see if it would wash out but no it didn’t. I did call back to make an appointment to go lighter but they are always busy, which is fine by me. It’s a sign from the hair gods up above not to go back there for a hair dye. Sucks to because they do have good hair products that they use. I will just go there for the conditioning treatments since that is the only good thing I had a good experience with. Oh and to top it off she cut a lot of my hair off when I am trying to grow it out. A trim means a little off the bottom not chop all my hair off.

I like this place because they’re in my neighborhood and can usually schedule an appointment right away. I am picky and I also like their cleanliness… nothing I hate more than a shampoo sink full of hair in it. Their sinks are always clean. However, their prices are high end.

GINA B. has been doing my hair for about 6 years now. I will follow that girl no matter where she goes. She is absolutely THE BEST! She listens and does exactly what you want but will also give her honest opinions. I trust her when I ask «what do you think?» She has done all different colors on me from red, to dark brown, to light brown, to ombré. now blonde.
She knows how to make my highlights not looking streaky especially around my root area. I hate that. She knows I hate cutting my hair because I like keeping it long, when it’s time she tells me like it is. «Girl we need to cut your hair.» «Ok not too short, just enough to make it look healthy» She’s not one of those stylist that does whatever she wants. She takes the time and listens and follows through with it.
She will never let me leave the salon if my hair color didn’t come out perfect. She truly is a perfectionist. She’s very professional and fun to be around. Being at the salon for 3 hours is sometimes rough, but she makes you feel very comfortable. She always offers me wine or a mimosa and depending on how early or how I’m feeling. I get a mimosa. ;) The assistants were also very nice asking if I would like any coffee or water. One of the gals made me a cappuccino with a heart design on the foam. How freakin cute is that?! Talk about great service!
The salon itself is beautiful. It’s very modern, the furniture. the iMACs, the blow dryers hanging from the ceiling, the chairs and mirrors. Everything just comes together perfectly. Whoever designed this salon needs to design my house someday!

This is the latest review I’ve made, but I just came across a business card that reminded me that I wanted to give a five star review. Diana, a hair stylist from this salon, graciously donated her service and talent when she cut my hair without charging me because I was donating 10 – 12 inches! Not only did she give me my best haircut ever, but she also spent the time to shampoo first and style afterwards. I greatly appreciate the generosity of her time. Thank you so much!

I had been trying several salons in San Diego until Jerra in Evian Salon did my haircut in 2013 and I’ve never had a haircut with anyone else or anywhere else (except than once when she was on a trip ;)).
She is amazing, and always patient listening to you till you are 100% happy with your haircut and always making my hair so on fleek :).
Evian Salon is also an amazing and relaxing place with really cool and friendly staff.

Decided to try this place out since it was in the neighborhood and I needed a salon that was open weekends.
Overall I had a good experience the first few visits but the quality of my haircut seemed to decline and there was less attention to detail after my third visit.
On my fourth and (most likely my final visit) to this salon, I had grown out my hair for a few months wanting to try something new. I brought in a photograph to help describe what I was going for. When my cut was complete not only was it too short to fix, but it wasn’t anything close to what I had asked for and I couldn’t really see how off it was until after I went home and washed it because it had been styled in such a way that you couldn’t really see how off the layers were until it was flat ironed.
When I called to come in to see if they could adjust the cut, they told me I would be charged.
I feel like they should have at least looked at the photo I had provided and the cut I had received prior to determining if it was something they would fix without charging.
Since I will now have to wait another 3 – 4 months to regain the length needed to fix this haircut I will not be returning to this salon. It wasn’t exactly a cheap haircut, and If they wanted return business they should have at least looked at the cut to see if they could make it right.
Now I have to wear my hair up everyday until it grows out because I feel so uncomfortable with the way I look and there is nothing I can do with it until it grows out. :(

Finallly got my color done and it was worth the wait. It was the 1^st time Theresa colored my hair so it was not as easy to gauge how the color will turn out. I have dark asian hair. After she rinsed out my hair, It was lighter than expected. I didn’t mind it. But she did. She put additional toner on my hair and after she rinsed it, the blending of the highlights and lowlights turned out perfect. I’m so happy I found her. I love a stylist who takes pride in the work that they do and that is what Theresa showed me today. She’s a perfectionist and I love it. Will definitely be going to her from here on.

I was feeling too lazy to go to my regular salon (salon ink) since I just wanted a cut rather than color.
Pretty decent hair cut. Brittany listened to what I wanted and fixed my bangs when they didn’t look quite right. However, I am not amazed by the service here, and will return to my favorite stylist.
The lack of stars is mainly because of the owner I met at the salon. I had called about ten minutes ahead and the receptionist at the desk said she could fit me in for a walk in appointment. When I had arrived, the owner Rob said that there weren’t any appointments available. He seemed busy and uninterested. I was determined to double check thinking that it was really unlikely someone would have booked another appointment at such short notice. I asked to speak with the other receptionist and he had a condescending attitude and announced that he was the owner of Evian (as if I shouldn’t question his judgement). His rudeness ruined my mood for the rest of the hair cut.
So in the end I don’t think I will return nor would I recommend this place.

40 $ for a haircut, no… on top of that my hair was butchered. Seriously butchered. Its so uneven.

They said they took walk ins so I scheduled a hair appointment for 11:30. I was there at 11 and waited 30 minutes until my scheduled appointment, no call from anyone. I thought perhaps they were a little busy and maybe they would call me in any time soon. Nope. Not a word for another 25 – 30 minutes. Then, they told me that the hair stylist was running late and I would have to be rescheduled for 12:15. I would have appreciated if the receptionist could have told me this earlier instead of watching me sit there for an hour waiting for a hair appointment. I left. I wasn’t going to waste any more of my time.

Valerie was amazing. Gave me a super good cut. I called 2 hours before and they had openings. The blow dryers hanging from the ceiling are sweet, never seen it before!

I have been to several salons in San Diego, and Evian was really one of the best. I saw Brittney Michelle today for a full highlight and she did an amazing job. I am very very very picky when it comes to my highlights, and usually have to go back to the salon the next day to change something. I was so happy with the way the color turned out! It looks amazing, and I am extremely happy with the results! If you are a blonde and you are not going to Brittney you really should because she ROCKS!

I will forever follow Theresa where ever she goes. She has been doing my hair for a very long time. She is great with blondes and is the only one I trust with my hair. Since I change my color every few years so we’ve done a few color corrections in our time.
She is also a phenomenal cutter and does beautiful up-​dos.
Wish she could do my hair next year for the wedding I’m in on the east coast.
Come see her! She is the best and you won’t regret it!

I haven’t been able to get on Allyson’s schedule the last 3 times, but I have been lucky to have Theresa cut my hair. I always get the bob — and the cuts are precise, neat, and clean.
As for color, I’ve been getting blond highlights and lowlights and the last visit, I got an allover color of Red Mahogany. Love, love, love!

I absolutely love this place. I had previously gone for a microdermabrasion and facial with Katya. She was fantastic, super sweet and thorough! Later I got my hair cut with Brittany and she did an amazing job! I love my hair!

I usually get my hair done by Jerra Nicole and my hair always looks amazing. Her ombré’s are beautiful. Also, she gives me tips and tricks I can use when I’m styling since I have thin hair.

Good thing is… There’s potential but there needs to be initial focus and motivation in training. THIS PLACE IS NOT A DAY SPA. I will not be back and will NOT recommend this place at this time.

Your review I took my daughter to this salon at around 6:30pm, as part of her birthday treat. My daughter had hair washed, curled and styled. We specifically told Theresa (Hair Stylist), the curls needs to stay for about 3 days. This was never an issue about this in the past, at other salon. The hair stylist stated this won’t be a problem. My daughter’s hair looked great afterwards. I paid $ 65 plus $ 10 tip.
The next morning, my daughter woke up with NO CURLS. So, I contacted the salon and told the one who answered the phone about this issue and asked if they could just have my daughter’s hair re-​curled. The one who answered the phone (didn’t get her name but she was really rude) made me feel that I was bothering her. And stated that it’s not usual for curls to stay that long and wondered out loud and stated what type of product other salons were using for curls to stay that long. She then asked if we could come in that day but I stated that we will not be able to and suggested to come in the next day instead. Then she stated they are not able to accommodate us because they are fully booked and will call me up instead if there’s any available opening/​cancellation. No one called…
Here’s my issues:
* When I told them beforehand that the curls need to stay for 3 days, they didn’t have any issue/​problem with it.
* If they are aware that «it’s not usual for curls to stay that long», then they should’ve told us that they couldn’t do what I asked them to do. And not guarantee it and say «it’s no problem». It appears now that I got reeled by «Snake Oil Salesman». They pretty much took my money.
* Good customer service means if you guarantee it and it didn’t do what its supposed to do, you make things right for the customer, or else you lose more customers.
Having said that, I will not be coming back. I’d rather go to the other cheaper salon and knows how to make curls stick!

I come here for facials and Tasha is great. She really looks at your skin and does good to it.
Also, I had my hair colored here. Brittany works wonders. Colored my hair red. She is very calm and collected. Listens to you and asks questions.

Theresa is an absolute artist. I have curly, frizzy hair and have had issues with getting a good hair cut nearly all my life. I showed her some photos of the kind of cut I was interested in and she NAILED IT! About a week later, I decided I wanted to make it even shorter and showed her another picture which she NAILED AGAIN! Talented woman, I tell ya!

This salon is wonderful and Jerra is absolutely amazing.
Ever since I moved to San Diego four years ago, I have been looking for a stylist I love and trust with my hair. Unfortunately, the search was a bit more difficult than I anticipated. Every stylist I went to would rush me through a consultation, listening to themselves more than they listened to me. I would bring pictures and what I felt like was a detailed description of what I wanted, but it somehow never turned out as I envisioned, and I always found myself feeling a bit disappointed. My hair would turn out decent, and I was able to be content, but I was never satisfied and truly in love with it.
Jerra changed all of that! She spent a good amount of time listening to me and trying to make sure she understood exactly what I wanted – which was an ombré with a darker root while saving my existing highlights that she nailed perfectly! And not only is she a magician in regards to color, she also cut my hair to make it look longer and fuller. She was very adamant that if it didn’t turn out to my liking, she would be willing to fix it. She even went out of her way to stay later than usual for my appointment, but didn’t act rushed or hurried or like she wanted to get out of there. She was friendly and took such good care of me as did the rest of the staff.
My visit to Evian was such a refreshing change from the various salons I had been trying out previously, where I was treated like just another head of hair and whisked in and out of the revolving door. I will definitely be returning for my next hair appointment and for the first time in a long time, I am actually looking forward to it!
P. S. I also tried the Olaplex treatment and would highly recommend it. It completely transformed my dry, pathetic, damaged hair for the better.

Shout out to Brittney for saving me! She did awesome work, beautiful color, and a perfect haircut. I came in with my brunette hair absolutely ruined, burned, blotched, and hacked up thanks to a bad hair stylist at another salon… I left Evian with BEAUTIFUL hair!!! While waiting for my hair to be processed I looked around admiring every customer was receiving a beautiful haircut and color, so you’re guaranteed to look awesome no matter what when you visit this salon.
The Evian Salon & Day Spa is on point. Everyone so kind and down to earth and they honestly appreciate you. They also use great products including Moroccanoil, GK, etc. It’s the perfect opportunity to try new products!

Evian Salon is just awesome. Their staff is top notch and their service is excellent. I’ve been coming here for the past couple of years and had multiple people help me, every time a great experience.

I had Jerra! She was amazing and professional, and really worked with me to help me get the perfect cut. I was really nervous because I had extremely long hair and I was cutting it into a very short a-​line cut. She nailed it. I have gotten so many compliments since then and will only go back to her to get my haircut.
I loved that they offer free Kerastase hair conditioning treatment for being a new client. I also received a white wine while I was getting my haircut which was a nice touch.

I love this salon! Super clean, all of the employees are sweet and helpful.
This review is specific to Britney — who is the absolute love of my hair life. She’s a cut, color and treatment magician, who is wise beyond her years and extremely talented. I was desperate for a cut three years ago after a bad hair-​dresser breakup, and met my Britney. My highlights were fried and my hair was looking more and more like a mullet after each «trim». And then I met Britney. I’ve been seeing her for three years now — and my hair is so much healthier, shinier — and with a cut that I can style everyday without any fuss.
I’m a daily flat iron addict, with naturally curly (and previously chemically highlighed hair). My hair was a hot mess before Brittney worked her magic with Kerastase protein treatments, and a really flattering cut. She’s recommended great products that actually improve the health of my hair (and I use faithfully, like a «good client»), and monthly protein treatments (which are sometimes quarterly when things get hectic…) and my hair is healthier than it has been in years. I’m getting my length back, the old stylist’s layers have grown out, I have an adorable cut/​color now, and my hair looks great everyday. Which is a nice change, a huge relief, and worth every single penny I pay her.
Recently, we’ve been going with an ombré style I wanted to try, but because of prior damage, I was really concerned that we might undo all of our hard work with the color. She went out of her way to find a special bleach and treatment that would be less damaging, and gave me the results I had hoped for, only better. I’m so in love with the color and I’m so impressed that she was able to achieve such a gorgeous result, without any damage to my hair.
On top of all of her hair magic — she has the best personality of any stylist I’ve ever met. She remembers everything that’s going on with me, and each time I see her, it’s like visiting a really good friend. She always has a smile on her face and a upbeat attitude. I absolutely love this girl and her love of her clients!
I consider myself very fortunate to have found my «forever stylist». For all the money I’ve spent in the past to make my hair look good, it’s a relief to have such great hair for half of what I was paying my last stylist.
This salon also has a really great selection of products (especially Kerastase and Shu Umera, which I LOVE!), I can always schedule an appt that works with my schedule, and the location is super convenient — just off the 5/​805, with convenient parking and a Starbucks right across the way!
