If you need someone QUICK then these are the guys to call. I called 10 plumbers and they were the first to respond. It’s very hard to get someone to come the same day so I give them 5 stars for that. If you’re worried about the price these are definitely not your guys. My service guy was as polite and professional as can be, very nice guy. He was in and out in under 2 hours and used one pipe that wasn’t mine so you figure a couple of hundred dollars. I figured the work would be about $ 300. The first estimate was for $ 1,550. They lowered it to $ 760 by using my parts. That’s about $ 300 an hour for labor and over $ 100 for a a 6 inch pipe.

I will not use any other company other then My Plumber for plumbing work. They did work for me personally on my house in 2012. They were a life saver after another plumbing company quoted me some insane amount of money to change the WHOLE plumbing system because it root trees were growing into the sewer pipe. I called My Plumber from simple google search and Frankel (the owner of the company) came over with a camera and told me that there was no need to change the whole plumbing system, dig up trenches etc. They can do it for much less by just changing the part of the pipe that had roots in it. It saved me a lot of time, money and stress and they did an excellent job. Since that time they have been taken care of all plumbing needs for my clients and myself and every single time it was a great experience and everyone was happy with the results. I am glad I have a company like My Plumber that I can wholeheartedly recommend to everyone and trust.

Get other estimates before you go with this company!!! Due to a toilet stoppage, we were quoted $ 900 to remove, snake and re-​install two toilets. Good thing we declined as I found a retired plumber to snake it for only $ 75 to that one toilet and everything works fine. What an outrageous estimate when they start taking advantage of unsuspecting seniors. Never again will we use them. I’ve torn up their business card and will not recommend them to anyone. As the owner says «they are not the cheapest». Well, that’s for sure!!! Wonder if their technicians are commission or bonus based which is why the hard up-​sell?

We have been a customer of My Plumber for 10 years now. We have always had exceptional service and good advice. We recently had a miscommunication about a project that was done which caused an unhappy result on our end. Franco came out to speak with us in person, walked us through what had been done and why, which dissolved the communication issue. We are pleased to say that all was worked out to our satisfaction and we continue to be a very happy customer. Thanks much, Franco!

First experience with them was great, although expensive for ceiling pipe leak. Second time tech said it was condensation and definitely not a pipe leak. I was relieved, so waited awhile to find reason for drip. An electrician from another company came out and confirmed that it was indeed a pipe leak. So much more damage because of their incorrect diagnosis. I called them again to fix the leak. This tech also did not think it was a pipe leak. I insisted that it was, and he finally found and fixed it. Some other company had already found it for him. Not much work on his part, but quite a hefty price tag. It’s nice they come out quickly, but only the first tech was competent. I doubt I will use them again.

I’m never using My Plumber again! I have a pressurized toilet that broke and the water was running all of the time. The plumber came over and said he had no idea what was wrong with the toilet without taking it out and troubleshooting the interworking parts.
He also «checked the water pressure» with a device that appeared to be broken. I stood directly over his shoulder to see what the reading was myself, and he turned and covered it with his hands as if he was guarding his ATM PIN number. The device had a needle and I saw him touch it and move it with his finger. He wouldn’t let me see the reading even though I was trying to see it. Why?
He came back with an estimate of almost $ 600, but a whole new toilet tank costs less than $ 250 at Home Depot and I can install it myself! First he said he had no idea what was wrong with the toilet and he would have to troubleshoot it, which makes sense. Then he said the problem was due to high water pressure, which he determined from his «reading» and I would have to pay hundreds of dollars to fix the water pressure.
I no longer trust this business because of the suspicious water pressure reading. The condo association gets the water pressure tested regularly and I have my own water pressure tester and the water pressure at my place is, and always has been, normal and I can prove it with data.
You can buy your own water pressure reader at Home Depot, Lowe’s, or on the internet. Just screw it on to the water spout and read the number for yourself — easy. Don’t let anyone fool you with the water pressure trick.

Corey was a terrific plumber — super polite, knowledgeable, efficient and trustworthy. He even put covers on his shoes before he came into my house as he didn’t want to track in any dirt. Highly recommend!!!

I gave this place 2 stars only because they showed up on time. Other than that, this place was not the best. Disasembled my toilet before asking me to pay $ 250 to snake my toilet. When I declined, he left the toilet disassembled! Goodbye!

We had very excellent, timely, polite and professional service from Corey. My neighbor also had Corey do some work with the same result. I had been using another plumber, but they have gotten sloppy, so I am switching to My Plumber. Corey had a great attitude and was very helpful in answering my questions.

If you use this company YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF! Read the other reviews. You have been warned on their price gouging.
So I puncture a hole in a water line installing some shelves in a closet (yes, I’m an idiot). I could do the repair myself but I didn’t feel like going to Home Depot and buying a pipe cutter, flux, and solder I will only use once. I leave it up to my wife to set up the repair since I had to go to work the next day and she calls this company without doing any research. I arrive home from work for the four to seven pm window and am immediately skeptical as soon as I look at Unilocal.However, the appointment is already set up so I figure I will give it a shot.
They arrive around 7:45pm reeking of cigarette smoke but they are nice enough so we go look at the problem. Now bear in mind that I have already cut away the drywall and exposed the pipe so we are looking at maybe a 10 minute job max for a professional plumber regardless of what method they use (compression fitting, solder a new coupling, Sharkbite fitting, etc.).
My Plumber dude says «Well, repairing ½″ copper pipe is very tedious and there isn’t any way we can give discounts for this job so it will be $ 325.» I actually started laughing because I thought it was a joke. The pipe is already exposed, easily accessible, and would require one or two cuts, a new piece of pipe maybe 8″ long, and would take 10 minutes tops for a competent plumber.
I would have paid $ 200 just to get hot water back immediately and even that would have been a rip-​off. But $ 325!!! Needless to say I will be doing the repair myself.
So ignore obvious fake reviews on here. Heed the advice of me and the other honest reviewers — THIS COMPANY WILL RIP YOU OFF IF YOU LET THEM.

Hi everyone, had a problem with our water heater the other day and, lucky me I called My Plumber, they must have sent me ine of their best and most knowledgeable technicians. His name was Michael –Mike. Although I was not excited about the bad news, (mind you, no one ever is)… Hahah I was given options and I made up my mind… he took care of the problem and fixed others to help the situation in the long run. I thought it was a bit expensive but, then again, it was not just any handyman that I called. It is a licensed and bonded company that gives you warranty on their work. And since I have had them do work in the past I I even got a lil discount. I spoke with the office manager, Lonnie, and she was great and understanding.
P. S. A lil reminder, when you get a chance, drain your water heater, at least once a year. With our hard water that we have in San Diego, it will only give your water heater a longer life.

This company is a rip off and they will take advantage of you.
First time they came to fix the shower and started telling me about other problems that had to be fixed and kept adding until the charge tripled compared to original estimate. I gave them the second change though I was on guard this time. They called me to offer a $ 59.00 promotion for servicing air-​conditioning. I also asked them to give me an estimate on adding a second air-​conditioning unit in the house. When they came, they obviously used the same sales strategy. I was stern and asked them to do only what we agreed to. They told me that the furnace was not accessible which was not true. All they needed is to climb the ladder. They gave me two estimates: for old air-​conditioning repairs and for new air-​conditioning unit. A few days later I invited two other companies with excellent reviews that came to bid on the same project. One was 35% cheaper and another — 20% less expensive! For the same service!
This company is way overpriced and they take advantage of people. I extremely rarely leave negative reviews but MY PLUMBER really ticked me off.

These guys just came out to snake my shower drain but told me there were more problems under the house trying to upsell me on stuff I really don’t think I need. $ 325 to clean the drain?!? Seems like a corporate sales job to take advantage of people. I told them to forget it and will call someone else.

Corey K is a very knowledgeable technician. Over a three day period, he went above and beyond the call of duty. He thoroughly assessed our plumbing and gas leak problems, plainly explained and discussed the options, completed the work as directed in a very timely manner, and cleaned up after himself at the end of each shift. He took great pride in his work, and was highly personable while retaining a superior level of professionalism.
He gained my confidence to such a degree that I also asked him for a second opinion about our water heater tank, which a former My Plumber employer had diagnosed as problematic. It turned out that the situation was more seriously dangerous than we realized. With Corey’s expert guidance we picked a new tankless heater as a replacement and decided on its location. After making a few trips to gather the new equipment, he installed the heater in record time with minimal complications.
During the course of the three days Corey worked for us, my husband and I also brought up the topic of our air conditioning and heating situation, which was being handled by another company. He explained the benefits of a coordinated maintenance plan for plumbing, cooling and heating, and explained how My Plumber could help us with such a plan. He asked his colleague in charge of cooling and heating to visit us while Corey was still working. His colleague analyzed the situation and clearly talked with us about options. Again we were very impressed with the professionalism, knowledge, and good nature of yet another My Plumber staff member. We ultimately decided that it would be in our best interest to shift A/​C and furnace maintenance to My Plumber.
My Plumber is not the least expensive of plumbing, heating and cooling companies available in San Diego, but the fees are reasonable considering the high level of technical and public service that Corey and his colleagues provide. Kudos to the company for hiring such able employees! I highly recommend them without hesitation.

Miguel was very professional and friendly. He was fast and clean with fixing seal on toilet that was leaking. He also had a lot of information about how to help decrease hard water and water filtration. Would highly recommend Miguel!

2 min after walking in the door we were told «if I have to breakout any tools» to determine if there is a leak there is a $ 350 minimum charge
I wanted Mike to leave
My wife was rightfully concerned about water leaking, loss of shower use and mold
Even though I felt completely mislead, as like everyone else, we are busy
So we went ahead with the now $ 350 FREE estimate
After the estimate, 1 hour of work and knowing I was already into «my Pumber» (who is no longer my plumber) I wrote a check for $ 890
Before I agreed to the work I had a few questions and out came the
” I have other jobs to go to, what do you want to do — aggressive
If it were truly a FREE estimate I would have told him to pack his bags
$ 890 to replace a single elbow joint
Can you say PRICE gouge — ouch
Do you see a tend here on Unilocal about price gouging ?
If you want to pay triple what any other plumber would charge and not be verbally assaulted call someone else

Miguel was very professional, friendly, and helpful when he came out to snake our overwhelmingly clogged shower drain. When we noticed that the backed up water smelled strongly of vomit, even after we had tried our own drain snake, we knew this was out of our hands and needed to be taken care of quickly.
My Plumber was able to get somebody out the next day, on a Sunday morning, which was much appreciated, considering the smell was starting to permeate our whole house. Miguel explained the charges to us very clearly, and was very personable, and was able to unclog our showers after over an hour of work.
The price is a little steep, but I suppose that is what you’d expect from an emergency service. Plus, Miguel had to try both drains before he was able to fix it, so he really put his time in to help us out.

When Miguel has arrived to my clogged sink, I thought it will take a whole day to dismantle the think clean it up and assemble it back as there is no direct access to the air trap, which is usually the first thing that get clogged. He listened to the sound of filling up running water and immediately diagnosed that the stoppage is below the air trap and, woalala, the clean up from the side-​house orifice with his motorized snake took approximately 15 min to do the work. Additional 10 – 15 minutes he took to carefully inspect for any other potential troubles.
The experience was very pleasant when you see professional doing his job. I would highly recommend My Plumber as a company and Miguel as the technician with excellent skills.

Cannot say enough about the expertise, hard work and integrity of Corey while he helped us through some significant repair work we needed ASAP despite the crazy schedule challenges on our end.
I always appreciate all of the hard work from the entire My Plumber team and Corey is definitely part of the reason we go to them for all of our problems for not just us, but our friends and businesses too… Thanks!

*Discovered that this company displayed a pattern of excessive billing with my plumbing services. Almost 2.5 x’s higher than a quote I obtained after the fact from another BBB plumber. My insurance adjustor agreed with the outrageous excess charges. Wrote a letter to the owner of My Plumber with intention of discussing a cost reduction. There was no offering of a reduction or discount.
On to the State Contractor’s Licensing Board. (#779 636) Board negotiated on my behalf. I rejected company’s skimpy monetary offer. Court Time.
**Please get two other quotes in writing before you hire this company, even if you think it’s an emergency, as I thought our plumbing job was.
TWO MORE THINGS:
1) Please be careful with this company, nothing is free. Technician was very slick and smooth talking. When asked about an itemized bill, he fast talked and danced around that saying, «Our company doesn’t operate that way and does not itemize the work or labor charges.
2) Told technician I did not want or need their maintenance service plan. He said, «I’ll give it to you free, it’s the least I can do for you!» I later discovered that I was billed $ 240 for this «FREE» service maintenance plan. (Received a refund check on 2÷21÷15 for $ 240)
