Mira Mesa Christian Pre-School

Our son started here in the summer right after turning 2. You can tell that all the teachers really care about the kids (even the teachers for the older children know my son’s name) and it’s great if you want a Christian pre-​school with play-​based learning. There’s so much research coming out about the importance of play in a young child’s life, and I can’t believe how much he enjoys it AND is learning at the same time.
Prices are also very reasonable, great pick-​up and drop-​off times, and they also take kids that aren’t potty trained yet.

I had my kid here last yr.
After a few weeks he just opened up and started talking to people and being less timid.
He loves his all his teachers.
They potty trained him.
All the teachers are friendly and know him by name.
He learns cute little songs that he sings at home.
He eats all his food during lunch.
They potty trained him.
They freakin’ potty trained him.

Our son has been enrolled at this school for two years and we have really loved the experience. As a pastor myself, I have been very pleased with the attention to teach prayer and scripture to the kids. I feel that these teachers really love the kids and I would definitely recommend this school.

Staff here seems very narrow minded. After a tour we decided to send my niece elsewhere. Principal was sarcastic and rude. This place just wants your money!

I can’t say enough good things about this school. They really care about the children and go the extra mile to help them enjoy learning. My daughter attended a full year of preschool there and it was amazing to watch her grow and develop during that time. She is in kindergarten now and doing great and I give MMCPS a lot of credit for her being kinder ready. This school was a blessing for our family and I recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to put their children for preschool.

I’d give them no stars if that was possible. My child was denied admission because her father and I are not married and it is a sin. Okay?! How many people in your congregation «sin». How many have committed adultery? How many are divorced? How many have had children out of wedlock? And have you denied them your teachings? I believe the answer is no and I’m completely offended. I understand that is your policy and we don’t have to choose your school. However I am disappointed that the reason why you denied us is because we are not married. It just feels wrong. No one is sin-​less and I believe what matters is knowing the word and teachings of Jesus Christ. I believe instilling that in young children is important. It is disgusting to me that you would deny a child a Christian education because of that. Time to research case law!

I love this school and can not say enough about it. My 3 yr old DD currently attends this school and she absolutely loves it. My 5 yr old attended for 2 years before she started Kindergarten and still asks if she can go back. The teachers are all so amazing and it is obvious that they all love their job and really have a passion for the kids. The Director is extremely friendly and very accommodating and understanding of our needs. I have no problems at all dropping off my daughter every morning because I know she is being well taken care of and being taught everything that I would be teaching her if I was able to stay home with her.

I absolutely love this school. Our 3^rd child is now attending here. Our dd started here when she was 3yo. She had some potty training issues, but the teachers and staff were so understanding and compassionate towards her. She was diagnosed with a disability (sensory processing disorder) and from her therapy sessions, I realized that the school was already providing for all of the children, the same type of therapy exercises. How great is that! Her OT from Rady’s, even came to observe the school. And thought the school was doing a great job incorporating the type of exercises she needed with the school’s program. Our ds (middle child) had some behavioral issues and actually had to be switched around different teachers until he met Ms. Stephanie. He is borderline ADHD, and took advantage of the other teacher’s kindness. But the third teacher, wouldn’t let him get away with anything. He would try to push his limits, but knew she wouldn’t give in. And he still talks about her! (In kinder now). When we go to pick up his sister, he gives all the teachers hugs. All of the teachers approach each child with a loving heart. I can honestly say that all of my children have been loved at this school. Which is why we chose to send them to the elementary as well. I feel bad for the other parent who reviewed, but I just cannot see it from any of the teachers or the director. And I don’t see anything wrong with having your child tested. I would rather be safe than sorry. I could’ve had our first tested earlier, but everyone told me «every child develops differently». If I had not considered it, and someone suggested it, why not look into it. Maybe our case is different. I just wished we had found this school sooner when our first dd was 2. Plus it’s a Christian school! Bonus! Maybe they can somehow find a way to provide meals. (Hint hint) =) I know, that’s how they are able to keep their tuition so low.

This is a wonderful preschool!!! My daughter has gone to this preschool full time for 2 years now. We are only leaving because we are moving. The director, Sharla, does a wonderful job selecting teachers and aids. I was comfortable with all the staff there, and all of them knew my daughter by name. This school was recommended to me, and I have been very pleased with it! (There’s also an elementary school a few streets away that is also 5 star! My older daughter went there for 2 years).
The class sizes at Mira Mesa Christian preschool are not too big, not too small, and the Christ-​centered atmosphere is always present. The teachers have taught my daughter about Jesus in an age-​appropriate manner, and my daughter understands.
I appreciate the wide ethnicities present at the school, there is always a familiar teacher or student for all staff and kids present. The tuition is affordable, the campus and classrooms are good-​sized and secure. The location is also pretty close to the freeway, which is good for working parents!
I liked the early morning availability for drop off and 6pm pickup, with no hidden-​fees. I appreciated all the weekly chapels they did with kids, the weekly art projects and the cute mother’s day and christmas programs.
My daughter loved going here, she had many friends, both teachers and students. I will miss the teachers giving me a hand raising my daughter! GREATEST PLACE ON EARTH FOR YOUR CHILDREN! This school really puts the children first. Teaches them the values I share and is such a wonderful place to be!

I am so happy to be the first person to share my experiences with you regarding my child and this school!
My son began attending shortly after his 4^th birthday. He was advanced academically but regressed socially largely from being watched by only my mother and having little interaction with children. In addition, my son is very very active.
I had an unpleasant to put it best experience with his last school and was nervous when I visited this school. I met his teacher and spoke with her, well i grilled her like an investigation was pending is likely more accurate and she skated through all my questions gracefully and with flying colors. I then met with the administrator and enrolled him.
He had his ups and downs but I have to tell you, He is an extremely intelligent, sensitive stubborn, determined and hyperactive child. All of these things make directing him challenging. His teachers and administrators here truly cared! They cared about him and our family. They never once backed down when challenged to keep him focused. They went above and beyond what I would expect them to do and welcomed him into their hearts.
He is moving on to Kindergarten at Mira Mesa Christian School the separate counter part to this school in September but I will send his brother here and would recommend that anyone and everyone enroll their children here!
As a parent, we are the champions for our children. We are their primary teachers and the havens from the world. I can truly say, the teachers and staff at this school cared as much about my child and helping navigate this world safely as I do, or at least as much as any non mother could!
