Millennium Express Track Club

Coach Duane James is the head coach, but him and the rest of his staff is AWESOME! After putting my kids in track, it’s really helped them excel in the other sports that they do.

«Run by Coach Duane James the Millennium Express or MX Track Club is a youth track and field club under the USATF governing body. They provide a safe, fun, yet competitive environment for coed youth ages 6 — 14 yrs. old from the Mira Mesa, Scripps Ranch, Poway and Rancho Penasquitos communities. The club is staffed with eight well trained and dedicated coaches specialized in long distance, sprinting and field events.»
Okay, that’s what Coach Duane said but to be honest, if you want your kid to excel in Sports or to just get in shape in a «team building» environment, I’d recommend they join this club. It’s a great way to refine their athletic skills while being able to compete at track events and competitions.
Yeah, there’s a fee to participate and it takes effort to get out there. But the lifetime rewards outweigh the sacrifices you’ll make. It’s better than having a fat kid at home playing video games all day. Then to grow up not having any «game». :)
The club meets at the Mira Mesa High School football field and track area. Be sure to bring a bottle of Gatorade and a towel too.
