Michael Wolf is a Realtor, GRI and author and currently practices real estate in the San Diego area. He is an Honoree of the National Association of Realtors «30 Under 30»

He currently serves as a board member and director to the San Diego Association of Realtors.

His background is in Architecture & Economics. He studied for his Masters in Architecture and his Bachelors in economics. He has been practicing real estate since 2005 and has been recognized with several production and sales distinctions. He is part of Ascent Real Estate, a widely respected and highly successful brokerage in San Diego.

My wife and I recently purchased a home in San Diego and used Mike and Jessica as our buyers agents. We have bought and sold three homes prior to this so we have a very good sense of what good and bad is from realtor’s and I can assure anyone that the Wolf’s are some of the best in the business.
We were not living in San Diego, so we were totally reliant on Mike to help us maximize the search and really boil the houses down to a select group for us to come and visit for a weekend. Even though we had very limited time to view houses, Mike was able to put together options that really met our needs and did an excellent job of finding the neighborhoods we would fit into.
In addition to selecting a house, Mike really helped us with due diligence to inspection, from recommending a number of detailed inspections we would not have thought of through to connecting us with a number of resources in plumbing, home repair etc. to help us get a sense for the cost of repairs — we were able to develop an irrefutable list of repairs with reasonable estimates the seller basically could not say no to.
Finally, Mike and Jessica were totally supportive and helped us every step of the way. They drove and engaged our mortgage team, or inspection team, and even our move in team! Mike, Jessica and their staff are truly some of the best realtors you can have and I would highly recommend them to anyone seriously looking to purchase a home in the San Diego area.

I just bought my first house and I am so happy I found Mike and Jessica. I hear stories from my parents of how customer service used to be and wondered where it went. Will now I know what they were talking about. From the first call and now even after closing I have been ecstatic with how they handle themselves, the business, and teat their customers.
1. They have this awesome system that would send me an email every morning with home just on the market that match my criteria and homes that I have been updated (status, price, ect.)
2. Respond very quickly to questions through email, call or text.
3. Very knowledgeable. As a first time buyer I had a lot of questions (most of which were probably very stupid) and they answered each one in a way I could understand.
4. Very punctual.
5. Very helpful staff.

It became clear to us a few months ago that it was the time to find the home in San Diego we will soon be retiring into. We live in Los Angeles County, two hours from San Diego, close enough to drive down a time or two a week, if needed, but too far to watch up close. We signed up to work with Mike and Jessica when we realized that they had special expertise in the areas we were most interested in (South Park, North Park, Kensington, etc.). They provided us with consistently strong guidance, wisely pointing us toward certain homes and away from others, never being pushy or imposing their tastes on us. In the end we found a marvelous place and have bought it. They have continued to stay in contact with us, providing advice on people to work with to get the house into the condition we most desire. I am very glad they were out agents for this process and I am glad that we remain in touch with them. I even rather think of them as friends whom I am glad will live not so far away from our retirement home.

My Husband and I purchased our first home in Talmadge a couple months back and we’re in love… all thanks to Jessica and Mike. This was our first home so we really didnt know what we were getting into or where we wanted to live, etc. Jessica was a huge help with pin pointing what we were looking for and after a couple months of being VERY picky and having to pull out of a very messy almost mistake, we found the one. I’m not going to lie, it was a hard process for us but Jessica was there every step of the way to answer our hundreds of calls and texts… I’m very pleased that we had such an amazing team on our side.

Michael and Jessica are simply the best realtors you could wish for.
They treat you like a family member and they make sure everything and i really mean everything goes as it supposed to go.
Micheal is very competent and always find the time to make sure you are completly happy and comfortable with what is going on.
We use their services not just for our home but also for a commercial property and in both case we really got the best deal possible.!!

I have had the pleasure to work with Jessica twice. If you wanted a perfect example of what a realtor should be, just work with Jessica. My original search criteria yielded about forty possibles. She took the time to write a 2 page email detailing all the pros and cons for each property, even including things like «trolley behind the property». We viewed ten houses in one afternoon. She had all of the MLS listing info printed for each property all arranged in the chronological order of viewing. Each property was already entered into her GPS, so the whole ordeal was quick and painless. When we made an offer, she was on top of every detail from start to finish. She even had to «school» the seller’s agent that she was not using the latest editions that had just come out. She had tons of referrals for business that we needed to get estimates from. All of these people were great. Jessica even left us a «Welcome to your new home» banner and a big gift basket full of all kinds of treats! If you need a realtor, you would be crazy to go with anyone else!

Mike and Jessica are so awesome that we used them for not one, but two home purchases! We worked with Mike in 2010 when we purchased our first home in Golden Hill. We wanted someone who was very familiar with the metro San Diego area. Mike was very experienced and knowledgable and helped guide us (first time homebuyers) through the whole process. When we outgrew our house and needed to buy a new one we knew we wanted to work with Mike again. This time we also had the pleasure of working with Jessica. Mike handled the sale of our old home and Jessica helped us to find a new one. Their recommended pricing strategy helped us to receive multiple offer on our house, we were in escrow in less than a week and got more than asking price for our home. Jessica helped us search high and low for the perfect home. She is so patient, and made sure that she understood exactly what we were looking for in a home. Mike and Jessica provided information to help us make decisions on pricing but the decisions were always ultimately up to us. Not only are they professionals but they are truly wonderful individuals. Even though the purchase and sale are complete they still check in on us and let us know that they are there if we ever need anything. They are a great pair!

A few years back my wife an I were house hunting with another realtor.
After a month we could tell the realtor was kind of pressuring us to buy even though we had not found our ideal home… needless to say things did not work out.
Fast forward a few years of continuing to rent and our landlords raised our rent. Alright, it is time to start looking to buy our own home again.
Since our first meeting with Mike and Jessica they went out of their way to ask us questions and help us feel confident that we would find the right home. Sat down with us for an hour or so and asked us every question about what our ideal home would be. Leaving our first meeting, we had a great feeling about this next go round at house hunting.
Set us up in the MLS search and we were on our way. They had vendors to help us with getting a home loan but I work for a mortgage company so we were set with that but awesome that even with the very first steps in home buying, Mike and Jessica want nothing more than to help. They worked professionally and quickly with our lending broker, even though they had never met or worked with him before. Nothing but stellar realtors.
Jessica took us out a few times and we saw a home that we wanted to put an offer on. Jessica helped us figure out the right offer for the house by finding comparable houses that sold in the area, checking out the listing agent and seller to get a feel as to what was what their sweet spot for a price would be. She also helped in wording the offer so that we were covered as far as termite damage and home warranties. This woman knows what she is doing! After a few counter offers, the owners accepted our offer. WOW, this might really happen for us!
Now the inspection and contingency period. Jessica had a whole list of vendors from home inspectors, to foundation and roofing companies for inspecting the bones of the house. The finishes were great but there were a few major issues with the house. About $ 19,000 worth. Yikes! We can’t afford this mortgage with almost 20K worth or repairs! Jessica helped set our minds at ease and walked us through how we ask for help with the repairs from the sellers. Again, we came to an agreement and onto the the next step.
Mind you this is our first time buying a home. We had plenty of questions throughout every step and Jessica was always willing to help, any time of the day, via phone, email or text. If Jessica was not available (which was not very often) Mike or one of their knowledgeable assistants was always available to us. This is a great team!
Our loan got funded, our escrow papers were drafted. We signed, we paid and recorded.
We were so excited! It came the day to get our keys and both Jessica and Mike met us. It was even their wedding anniversary and they were willing to meet us when it was convenient for us. They hung with us and were genuinely excited that my wife and I were home owners.
There is nothing but compliments that we can say about Mike and Jessica Wolf. We love our new home and know that we would not have found it so quickly and easily if it were not for these two. If you ever are looking to buy a property, know that Mike and Jessica would be the best realtors you are going to find, hands down. Thanks so much Mike and Jessica!

My wife and I recently closed on a house in Carlsbad and worked with Jessica on the purchase. We could not have been happier with her dedication, hard work and just being a complete pleasure to work with throughout the entire process.
Given that we are new to the area, she helped us narrow down the expansive San Diego county to a few areas that suited our needs and did a great job helping us decide on the pros and cons of each region. Because she is a SD County native, she really knows the area well.
Jessica also had great referrals for us throughout the process (lender, inspectors, etc.) and each of the people she referred did a great job for us, too. We were very happy with all of the people we worked with.

Unfortunately, my buying experience was not the same experience as my short sale experience. This is not a bad review, just felt that I should share with Unilocalers.
Mike is a nice guy, but was hesitant to submit bids lower than asking price. After we both agreed that we weren’t working well together, we mutually parted ways.
I just went into escrow on a home that I bid 60k less than asking. I came up 15k and we met 45k below asking (via counteroffer) a day later. The best news is that between the lender and the seller, I’m not paying a dime in closing! …and a great interest rate.
Good luck in your business and future endeavors Mike. You’re a good guy and I wish you well. We simply weren’t cohesive on this run.
To others: If you are working with an agent and you don’t see eye to eye, there are many others out there. Look for one for which you click.

Our daughter just closed escrow on her first home today! She is SO EXCITED! She learned about Mike and Jessica Wolf using Unilocal. As a first-​time home buyer, I had to trust that everything my agent was telling me was in my best interest. After all, it was the biggest financial decision of my life and I was not taking it lightly. Prior to meeting Jessica and Mike, I had a rough experience with another agent and I was quite discouraged. But they came highly recommended from a trusted family friend (an agent in Northern California) and after working with them, I was not disappointed.
From our first meeting to close of escrow, the process went extremely smooth, so smooth that I even had the opportunity to close early. Problems are bound to come up with so many parties involved, but that is a strong testament to Jessica and Mike’s work ethic, getting them sorted out before they become major. They were prompt in answering any questions I had and they provided clear and concise feedback that also helped me to better understand the position (as they buyer) that I was in. A lot of people can sell you a house, but it takes some hard work and dedication to get you your ideal home. I went in to house hunting expecting most realtors to be something like your stereotypical used car salesman, and in most of my experiences I felt I wasn’t far wrong. However, Jessica & Mike are different — never pushy, never over the top, always helpful and really kept me focused.
In the current housing market, where inventory is low and most properties are available for a very short period, time is of the essence, and Jessica & Mike couldn’t have been more prompt and consistent. If it weren’t for Jessica, I don’t think I would have ended up in what is the ideal home for me.
They didn’t cut and run once the papers were signed and they got their fees, either. They have been an invaluable resource well after the sale, with multiple recommendations for everything from brokers to inspectors to contractors, never pushing me to use anyone in particular and encouraging me to select anyone not on their lists if desired. They really put in the extra effort to make me comfortable and happy.
Besides being excellent at what they do, Jessica & Mike are real quality people overall. I would recommend them to anyone look for a home. everyone I talked to always said buying a home was such a difficult, arduous process, but I didn’t find it to be so, and I attribute a good deal of that success and lack of stress to Jessica & Mike.
