Meet the Business Owner

Ian M.

Business Owner

A few months after learning the basics of climbing, Ian sold everything he owned, bought a rack, and embarked on an extended stay on the road pursuing climbing and adventure in Yosemite, Bishop, Colorado, Wyoming, Canada, Alaska, and then overseas before settling in Seattle to study Politics and Philosophy at Seattle University. Over the years, his relationship with climbing has evolved to include all of its disciplines with a fervor to continually meet new challenges and develop as a person through climbing and holistic practices. Currently, in addition to managing Mesa Rim is co-authoring a guide book to Black Mountain Bouldering and setting National level climbing competitions. Ian joined the Mesa Rim team in its infancy when the walls were mere skeletons.
