Nothing special about this McDonalds, but it does feature a good play area for the kids. One of the cleaner locations, but all in all, your average McDonalds.

Drive through visit that yielded the coldest and hardest 2 sandwiches I have ever received in my life. I am not even sure how the individuals behind the counter(drive thru) even grabbed these and thought they were fit for consumption?!? So much for all day breakfast, especially at this location! Literally spit out the bites I tried to take because I knew it would not have ended well if I went any farther. The worst part of all of this was that I actually filled out a customer service survey and requested contact back some time ago and STILL did not hear anything back from this restaurant. I don’t eat McD’s much, but if you do and you are looking for a restaurant than I think you should take a little extra time and go elsewhere. Food poisoning is not something to take light. Miguel Gamino(Area Supervisor) aka the most useless individual in the known free world could not even properly address this issue. Yet another incompetent individual McDonalds strings along… This guy should fire himself!

I just went through the drive thru and had to write about my experience. Everything was perfect. The guy that took my order was very nice and polite. He got everything right and was quick. The guy I picked up my order from was equally as nice and polite. In addition to that, my food was amazing! How often can you say that about a fast food place? I love that McDonald’s has breakfast favorites any time now. Breakfast was pretty much the only reason I ever went in the first place. In any case, my sausage mcmuffin was hot and fresh. The muffin was crispy and delicious, seriously it must have been the best one I ever had. Fantastic job today! Thank you :)

I just came from Jack in the box because I had forgotten my wallet at home and they didn’t offer Apple pay services! I give McDonald’s 5 stars not necessarily because their food is the best but because they always provide all the conveniences and good prices customers are looking for. It’s the reason why they are the best

Horrible horrible service I get its McDonald’s but can you try to have some type of smile. The girl Adrianna had the worst attitude wouldn’t tell me my total and just seemed to hate her job

Honestly, does any adult really enjoy eating bland, unhealthy food, while being surrounded by a hoard of greasy-handed, poorly behaved brats ‘monitored’ by hapless so-called parents?

We stopped by since we wanted to grab a snack. No wait for the drive-thru… YAY! But then again, it was 930pm… I ordered a 4pc chicken nuggets meal since I was craving nuggets and fries. My happy meal box came with a barbie figurine, which I gave to my niece. What I like about ordering happy meals is that you get a taste of everything, and I’m happy. I get the sweet and sour sauce with my nuggets, a handful of fries, diet coke and apple slices. Ta-dah, I’m full! Something inside of me told me to check for my sweet and sour sauce, and luckily I did, because they forgot to give it to me! GRRRR… Fiancée to the rescue… He got me 2 sauces which equals happy MC… PS… McDs typically gives you 1 sauce for either a 4 or 6 pc nugget meals. If you ask for another one you may get charged! SHIESTY!!!

Let me give you the skinny on this place. The franchisee for this location is cheap. The ice cream machine has been broke so often during the past two years that we play a game before we get to the drive thru: will the machine be broke or will it be working? For a particular two week stretch last year, those who chose broke would be the winner. On top of the broken machines, the service has been atrocious over the years. Indifferent at best and downright rude at its worst. I believe that McDonald’s corporate finally got enough complaints about this place that a team was sent out to troubleshoot the entire restaurant. Things have improved dramatically since September 2013. But it still isn’t great. It’s just ok. The jack in the box in the same parking lot provides superior customer service. McDonald’s could learn a thing or two from them. Still, I only go to this place because it’s so conveniently located. Otherwise, I would avoid this spot. The food is fine. It’s McDonald’s. No complaints there. Edit on March 7, 2015: these guys have improved enough to warrant two stars. If they continue to improve, I’ll bump them up again.

Another McDonald’s for the kids. The Scripps Poway Parkway Mickey D’s is on the smaller size as far as I can gather but that’s probably because it has a decent sized indoor playground. Bonus though, the dining room as well as the drive through is open 24⁄7.

Playground even worse than before. They shutoff the a/c and the place just smells bad. Very musty. Please fix it. My kids like to come here. But, this last visit changed even their opinion. Also, about half of the video games kiosks are broken. Just please take them out. That way I won’t have to constantly listen to my kids ask why it doesn’t work. The staff on the other hand were pleasant. The food normal Micky D’s grub. The service is quick. The bathrooms were disgusting. Normal Micky D’s expectations. They just really need to work on maintaining the place.

Don’t go here much but when we do… our experience has always been pleasant(not spectacular — it is Mc Donald’s we’re reviewing here). This location is clean and food are cooked fresh… can’t comment on taste coz frankly, this franchise sells toys not food and I think eating this stuff at my age is more of a dare. Kids are happy with their toy and happy meal.

My friends always ask me if I’ve seen how they make the chicken nuggets at McDonalds. My daughter asks me why I keep eating there! Yes, I know there is some type of youtube video about how they make the nuggets and NO, I have not seen it. AND I eat there because sometimes I just want a Big Mac and Fries and some ice cold Coke or sweet tea! What can I say? I just like it, that’s why. And, Yay. I am a fan. But I won’t give you 4 stars… just because it doesn’t seem right! LOL

Given the 30 minutes I have to spare as the kids run a muck, this is a review for the childrens play area and not for the food; for we all know by now the taste of McDonalds fries, McNuggets & Fillet O Fish. Its clean, spacious and large enough to hold a childrens party. Even in an adults perspective, the playground is huge; what more for the little 3 foot munchkins. With duel slides, one of which begins at a tri-level(one must have brave kids), lots of tunnels to lose oneself AND the play room has its own bathroom… so you dont have to go out and use the common bathrooms for men and women. Despite the broken controllers, so far its the only McD’s that has a video game center for the kids. Pretty cool. This review wouldve recieved an extra star, unfortunetly, their ice cream maker was not working at the time and I wanted a McFlurry! Over all, its a safe and kid friendly enviorment for all to enjoy.

It only takes one bad experience for me to stop eating here. Yes I had food poisoning from their cheeseburgers. Today I spent the whole day puking and visiting the ladies room. It wasnt as bad as my prior experience with food poisoning. But no one deserves to be sick after eating their sandwiches. This is my only 1 star review on Unilocal,so angry. I wish I could take them to court.

I stop by here to get a breakfast when I’m in the area. Usually when I stop by the Sharp Clinic for my monthly allergy shot.

It’s McDonald’s and I had no complaints on this drive-thru occassion… I especially liked this time around because I had a coupon for Buy 1, get 1FREE. Pretty tough to put me in a bad mood after getting that discount. Fast service, warm fries and nuggets, and a cold drink. Keep sending me those coupons, and I will keep coming back.

THISMCDONALDSISBYFARTHEWORSTMCDONALDSTHATEXISTS. I’ve lived in Scripps Ranch for about 11 years now with my family, and throughout those 11 years this McDonalds never fails to provide the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Every time I go there, drive thru or walk in, they ALWAYS forget something from my order. ALWAYS. It is THEBIGGEST inconvenience especially when they forget something when I do use the drive thru. Here is one of my oh so awesome experiences at this McDonalds: I picked up my little sisters from school, we went to this McDonald’s and used the drive thru. Our order was small and simple. Kids 4 piece chicken nugget happy meal with an orange soda. A snack sized parfait. And a side order of large fries. After receiving the bags, we drove out of the drive thru, and of course, I always checked my bags since I knew the probability of this particular McDonalds and them screwing up my order was about 100%. actually more like 110%. And to my surprise(sarcasm), they forgot the fries and parfait. I went through the drive thru and WAITEDAGAIN, and told them how annoying and inconveneient it is that EVERY time i go there they always screw up my order. I demanded a full refund for the past 11 years of being the sh*ttiest McDonalds to ever exist in the world and for all the inconvenience they have caused me. I got my refunded cash back and my order corrected. As my sister and I went home, I looked over the cash refund. and realized they shorthanded me by 2 dollars. Although I pretty much got a free meal, the fact that they also can’t count money correctly is frustrating. Sad thing is, it was the shift supervisor or manager during the shift that refunded me. Please, whoever is in charge of this particular McDonalds needs to fire the entire store and restaff it with competent workers who can count money and can actually make orders correctly. If i can i’d give this McDonalds negative stars. Worst. McDonalds EVER. period.

It’s .Friday morning at 7:15 and I pull into the McDonald’s drive thru to order a large iced coffee. Simple enough one would think, unless you work at this McDonald’s apparently. I spent about 5 minutes arguing with the cashier regarding my drink order, she informed me that they could not put non-fat milk into my iced coffee. This is strange I said, as it has never been an issue before. The cashier then says that Creamer, not milk, comes with the Iced Coffee. Now I realize I wasn’t at Burger King, where they say I can have it my way, but what the hell lady, you are arguing about what milk product to add to the drink? She then left the cashier post and went and made the drink herself, as though the other employee was too moronic to understand, and made a big deal about her making the drink special for me. I told her to that this is always how I order my drink and all the other McDonald’s I’ve been to take your coffee orders without argument, so why couldn’t they? Was given the shrug of the shoulders and handed my drink. I realize my measly $ 2 is nothing to a chain like this, but let’s be real here people, coffee making isn’t hard, working at McDonald’s isn’t hard… don’t make your life harder by arguing with a person over their coffee in the morning. I realize you’re not Starbucks, but dammit, it shouldn’t have been so difficult to get some non-fat milk in my coffee.

Birthday party planners beware. .. everything in this McDonald’s is run down, broken, or totally disgusting. The food is your basic, franchised McDonald’s food. The dining area is definitely tiny compared to most other Mickey D’s, but I think they try to make more room in the indoor playground area. Bring your sani-wipes and Clorox wipes. It is wayyy disgusting in that playground area. Also, the games are mostly broken and haven’t been repaired in who knows when. There’s a place for the kids to take off their shoes and climb up the slide, but I’d be scared to find out what’s at the top of that slide. Last time we were there, some kid yelled out that someone left a whole cheeseburger smushed inside. BUT, they do have free WiFi for their Café McDonald’s. I don’t think they’re going to send anyone to crawl up and clean that cheeseburger. Do you?
