Majestic Pools and Spas

Rob Romero and his team are exceptional. From the quality of the work to the responsiveness, I could not be happier with the product we received. About 5 months ago, we decided to bite the bullet and get a pool which we have wanted for some time. We proceeded to get 3 quotes from we believed to be the best pool builders in town and decided on Majestic. Our yard is kind of funky and a challenge but Majestic did a great job from the design to the finished pool and everything in between. All along the way, Rob was communicative and answered the many questions I had and continues to do so. Making the decision to invest in a pool is a big one but I can confidently say that Majestic exceeded our expectations in all ways. When you consider service, quality of construction and price, I cannot recommend Majestic more highly and would make the same decision all over again if given the chance. I learned from many friends that had already built pools that finding a reputable pool builder in San Diego can be a challenge but look no further than Rob and Majestic if you want an amazing pool at a fair price.

Russ from Majestic Pools was great to work with when we decided to install a pool in our already landscaped yard. We were concerned about having damage done to our trees and plants and hardscape. The contractors that Russ used were careful and took precautions to avoid any damages. We wanted to match the stone that we used with the fireplace and sitting area that we already had. Russ was able to get the same stone and you would not know that we added the pool two years later. It all blends in and matches the existing work. Russ was upfront and honest on the cost of the pool. We did not have any problems with the dig or pool project overall. Our pool was built on schedule and the cost were what Russ had expected them to be and were in our contract. No surprises. We did decide to do the solar heating which has been great and I would recommend. This was our first pool build and it went smoothly and was a fun experience. We love our pool and so do our grandkids. Thanks Russ for making our back yard our special sanctuary. We love it!

We found Majestic and Andrew Hunt on Unilocal of all places. We interviewed 5 pool companies and settled on Andrew and Majestic because of his prompt reply and design which was exactly what we had asked for. They got us right onto their schedule and work began promptly. The first day, we hit rock, big rocks! Instead of just throwing money in the hole in the ground Andrew came up with a great design to work around the rocks, work continued immediately. We ended up liking the new plan better than the original. Construction continued right on schedule and Andrew kept in constant contact with us the whole time. There were never any surprises and he kept on top of each step of the process. Our pool is amazing. Not only did they provide great service but their price was as good as any of their competition. If you are looking for a pool contractor, look no further and make sure you ask for Andrew. We couldn’t be happier with the caliber of work and attention to all of the details. Andrew treated our project with all of the attention that anyone could hope for in a contractor. I expect good service from a company and Andrew and Majestic exceeded our expectations. Andrew, thanks for a great pool! My family loves it.

Russ came out to our house twice to put together a pool quote– once by himself and the 2^nd time with a mason guy (need retaining walls). That was nearly a month ago and I haven’t heard from him since. I have called 5 times and he has not returned a single phone call. I have no idea why he would come out and then completely blow us off, but it is really frustrating and annoying. I’m not sure about their actual work, since we haven’t done any work with Majestic, but treating potential customer’s like this is not OK. We’ve now wasted a whole month waiting on Russ and we were hoping to get the pool in for summer. Such a disappointment.

Majestic Pools and Rob Romero are fantastic! I now have a tropical paradise in my yard thanks to them. I bought a new home with a nice size yard hoping to build a pool one day. When the time was right, I contacted a few different pool builders I found on Angie’s List. I was very specific on what I wanted. It needed to be 40′ long and free form in design. There was an existing waterfall and it all needed to come together somehow. The other pool designers came back to me with designs. Most had not listened to anything I said and were not even close. Rob came over a few times and discussed the pool and yard. He came up with a pool design that was perfect. He also referred me to Jesse York for the surrounding landscape design and that worked out great.
When I said go. They broke ground a few days later. Everything went very smooth. Rob was on top of every aspect of the build. Rob was always available for questions and came by regularly. He was extremely flexible with my changes and upgrades along the way. Every single person on his crew was great. They treated me with the utmost respect and constantly checked to be sure I was happy with what they had done that day.
I had decided to go with nontraditional coping and ledger stone. I had beautiful Turkish Travertine coping and Nevada Quartz ledger stone. Each stone hand cut and fit. His crew helped me with small but important decisions like grout and made me samples to choose. Sounds small but makes a huge difference in the overall look. I met with the Pebble Tec folks and they walked me through the process and were very helpful in looking at the overall design and picking the right color. Like I said, Rob has the best of the best working for him.
My pool is about 24,000 gallons. It has 3 Pentair variable speed pumps and the waterfall now works through the pool cleaning system. We added solar and it is really working nice. I can control the pool, pool lights, yard lights, spa, waterfall, spillway, heater, solar all remotely. When I say remote, I mean from my iPhone. I can be anywhere and turn on the Jacuzzi! They also installed intelligent lighting for many different pool colors or themes that can keep changing depending on the mood you want to set.
On the landscape portion, I went with Gabriel at Rivers Landscape. They tied in everything to Rob’s pool design with an outdoor kitchen, new outdoor bathroom, pavers, pergola, spiral stairs, putting green and more. These two companies have done a lot of work together. I think it is important that your landscape company has a good relationship with your pool builder. It’s construction, they both need to be a little flexible towards a common goal and they were.
To sum it up, I’m a very tough customer. I do lots of research and investigate before I buy. I’ve done the work for you. The pool has been done for a few months and I am very happy with it. I now have a Tropical Paradise in my yard. Rob and I remain in contact regularly. It’s my first pool and small questions pop up and he is always happy to help. It’s not just a sale to this company. They really do care and take great pride in their work. Just call Rob at Majestic Pools and get the pool of your dreams. You’ll be glad you did.

Majestic Pools has been amazing to work with! We REALLY did our homework before choosing a pool company and they came highly recommended by many people in our neighborhood, in the pool industry, and by friends. I could not be happier with our decision to go with them, the professionalism was much appreciated, the communication was great, the design and execution was great and they also had very reasonable pricing compared to other companies out there. I appreciated that Russ really took our vision for the pool and made it into our dream and Rob was with us through the construction process and was always willing to answer questions, come out to take a look at something and give us tips on how to make the pool and spa better. Both men work as a great team and I would not go with anyone else! I would recommend this company to anyone!!!

Our pool is in the final stages of being complete! Just a few more finishing touches and we will be set — we are already swimming and LOVE it!
We decided we wanted a pool in our yard earlier this year. We have 3 young kids and wanted to create a play haven — pool, sand box, and playground. We interviewed 3 companies and we decided to go with Majestic based on design, quality work, and communication. We were given a tour of their existing work with Rob — and he was so enthusiastic about their work. It’s really nice to see people who have a passion for their work/​company.
Our designer was Andrew Hunt and he did a great job! He listened to our wants from beginning to end (and still is). We made minor tweaks to his original design and we are very happy with how it turned out. Majestic takes pride in their work as they should — they do quality work and are pleasant (and easy) to work with.

Rob Romero put a pool in for us a few years ago and we still love it. Unlike other pool companies where they want to sell you «their» pool, Rob listened to what we wanted and gave us tips to enhance our vision for our pool area. He communicated extremely well throughout the process and finished in 6 weeks. He was always on top of the process. He also followed up with minor repairs long after even though he wasn’t obligated to come back. Highly recommended!

Rob Romero just completed a beautiful pool and spa for us in Ramona. Rob spent a lot of time with us (before and during project). He really cared about understanding our wants, desires and needs. We have a disabled son that required special consideration, and Rob made sure all of our ideas came to reality. As with all construction projects, a few issues with timeline, redos, new equipment malfunctioning occurred, but Rob managed all to our satisfaction and manufacturers specification. My experience with Majestic Pools was wonderful. I’m so relieved that I chose Rob Romero/​Majestic Pools to do my project. I am VERY picky about every aspect of any job that I have done on my home. I involve myself with all the details and expect perfection. Rob was accommodating, knowledgable, and a pleasure to work with. He did everything he promised he’d do and followed up with me constantly. This was refreshing since I’ve battled with contractors a lot before. My stonebridge estate home has had a lot of work done on it with various contractors since the yard is an acre and I truly am honest when I say that of everyone I’ve had to deal with along the way with my newly constructed house, Rob has been the easiest to work with. I chose a somewhat complicated pool design that needed special engineering and everything went beautifully. I couldn’t be happier. I would recommend Rob to anyone and would feel confident that they’d be just as thrilled as me with their pool.

Russ and the team are AWESOME! We interviewed several pool companys and were nearly undercontract with another company when Majestic showed up. Boy did we make the right choice to go with them.
You will not find a more honest team. Russ is very upfront and frequently told us which options were worth the money and which were not. He never tried upselling the options.
