Louie always makes me feel happy after I leave his salon hair. He will listen to what you want out of your hair style, make recommendations, and won’t let you leave until you are satisfied with your new look. Not only does he cut hair, he’s amazing at coloring, styling, doing Brazilian blowouts, and he also does profession makeup. Louie has been cutting and coloring my hair for years, and I always receive compliments. If he does color your hair you’ll be in for a treat, because I love how he will do subtle variations each time to fit the season. I color my hair auburn with some highlight and lowlights added. He will add more red in the winter time or lighten it slightly with more highlights in the summer. For autumn some warmer copper is added. Year round my hair is slightly different to fit the weather and season, and I really like that. Mix it up and have fun with your hair! When cutting hair he will also make sure to take your hair’s thickness and texture into consideration. Not every haircut you see in a magazine will be perfect for your hair, but Louie can adjust the cut to work with your how your hair likes to fall in place. Love him! 100% recommend!

I was crushed when I discovered Louie gone from his other location. Searched the internet to find him! Lo, he was even closer to my apartment and in a much nicer salon. I am very happy for him, and for me.
Louie is all the things the reviews say he is: .entertaining, accommodating, talented, artistic, patient, kind, sensitive… I would add perceptive. He has a very good sense of people. This no doubt contributes to his artistic talents.
Personally, I’ve appreciated being seen as the adult that I am. As a person disabled by cerebral palsy, this is not a ‘given’ that I count on – although I would be remiss if I did not note that people are much more aware of disability than in decades past. Because I need to keep hair out of my face, there is a limited number of options. Often haircuts would end up as what was unflattering called «the crip cut» after its hacked, utilitarian look. By contrast, I feel that I have style after Louie does my hair. Friends notice when I’ve had a haircut, and compliment me!

Louie is a wonderful and funny guy. He’s been cutting my hair for about 6 years. My hair cut is a simple one so he doesn’t ever screw up on that. I’ve become more «bald» as the years of working with Louie have gone on so it’s a rather quick haircut. As others have said he’s an entertaining person and the overall environment of where he is at is a good one. I highly recommend.

Louie has been cutting my hair for a while, and I am always extremely happy with my hair. He is funny, personable, and, the best thing is, I never feel like he is doing it by «rote». He always takes his time, and I appreciate that.

I followed Louie from his old place. He always make me look my best. I love the way he does my color. He has also done my makeup. I moved here from the east coast and it took me a while to find a stylist I like. Louie has a customer for life!

Before I moved to Dallas I would travel from our home in Rancho Bernardo to his salon in Hillcrest, because no other stylist in the San Diego area consistently provided the styling expertise that Louie did. I’ve always had excellent results from Louie and always enjoyed our conversations as he worked his magic. As a matter of fact recently while in San Diego for my wedding it was Louie who did my hair and my wedding pictures are spectacular.

I heard about Louie from a friend and I’m so glad I met him! He gave me just the right cut and the highlights he gave me are gorgeous. He’s talented and has an awesome personality; what more could you want? Oh, he also offered to help me with makeup since he has a bunch of Mac cosmetics on hand. I like Louie :)

He is excellent about accommodating my busy schedule and is very courteous when handling changes or cancellations.
Louie has a very calm and relaxing way about him that rubs off on you allowing you to ease into the haircut experience with just the right amount of lighthearted conversation to keep you entertained.
Do not hesitate to call or text him to discuss your hairstyling needs or concerns, he is always open to talking and is very knowledgeable about his craft. He has always offered to give mid-​week touch-​ups or adjustments but have never found the need to do so. Highly recommended!

I met Louie by chance at another salon and followed him to his current locale. He is awesome!!! So personable, funny and give me amazing cuts. He’s accommodating to my schedule and I look forward to my haircut every few weeks. Try him out, you will NOT be disappointed.

I love Louie. I have very fine limp hair and he somehow brings it to life. I can just relax and have confidence in getting a great cut every time. My husband loves the way my hair looks when he does it. I cannot recommend him enough.

Louie is the BEST. I have always been one to bounce around to different salons and different stylists because I have never been too impressed with any one person. Much like my relationships, I do NOT settle for mediocrity when it comes to a stylist. Louie is the one stylist that managed to keep me. He has a very creative eye and demonstrates extreme attention to detail. He absolutely listens to what the client wants, while at the same time providing helpful input based on his expertise. Often, I am terrified of going to the hairdresser when I want just a trim because my request for a «trim» is never heeded and I walk away irritated and with a LOT shorter hair. Louie actually listens.
I love that Louie knows what he’s doing, takes it a step further and explains what he’s doing for my benefit, and tailors his services so that they are unique to me, my desires, and my personality. Louie knows that I’m not a cookie cutter girl — therefore, he does not give cookie cutter cuts or color. I absolutely love how he colors my hair — the compliments haven’t stopped. He is an absolute pleasure to be around — waiting for your color to set has never been this entertaining — and he is extremely easy to get an appointment with, even last minute.
