Thanks to Aaliyah’s Beauty & Brows my eyebrows are finally on fleek.
When I first came here my eyebrows were just scary caterpillars, and had no shape to them. But after coming here several times, I was able to grow a natural arch. I’ve been to other threading salons, (such as Beauty By Dolly) and I think this place is the best. I like how the employees take their time, and actually put thought into adding definition to my brows. After the threading is done, they offer to put aloe vera on and around your eyebrows. Aloe Vera has inflammatory properties so it’s great for those with sensitive skin.
Everyone that works here is really friendly, and I like how it feels like a family business. I never feel awkward or uncomfortable coming here.
I’ve already recommended this place to three other friends, and they absolutely love it.

This review is LONG overdue. I first started coming to Ayesha about 6 months after she opened. I had just recently moved down to San Diego and was in a desperate search of a go to threader. After a few bad experiences elsewhere, I finally found Aaliyah’s Beauty & Brows.
Right off the bat, I walked in, place looked and smelled GREAT! Super welcoming environment for their clients. Ayesha did my waxing and brows and I was absolutely sure that I had met my go to gal for threading and waxing! She does organic sugar waxing which is great because there is no itch or irritation while the hair grows back. Oh, and she does professional makeup too!
Since my first visit, her business has expanded with more employees. Mind you, I am VERY picky when it comes do who touches my eyebrows… But Ayesha trains each and every one of her employees to do the same work she does and I have never had a problem going to any of the girls when she’s not available. 2 years later now, I still pay Aaliyah’s a routine visit every 2 – 3 weeks and that definitely is not changing anytime soon!
All in all, I would never go anywhere else to fulfill my «hairy» needs. All of the girls here are great at what they do and Ayesha is SUPER awesome.

I usually go to Bombay Fashions on Black Mountain Road when I go to Miramar Cash and Carry to do my Indian groceries. I was caught in the rains and didn’t want to drive all the way and so found this closer to my house. She was very sweet. Did a nice, professional job. My eyebrows look good. I will definitely be back

This has been my go to place for over 2 years now. Ayesha is the best and always so attentive on my brows. She also does my Brazilian wax and underarms and it’s so quick and painless ! I will forever be a loyal customer :)

Threading Experience:
Came here on a rainy day so it was pretty empty, which was good!
Customer Service: I was greeted with a smile right when I walked in. When I got seated I informed the woman that was treating me, I didn’t get her name, of how I wanted my brows to look. My eye brows are pretty sparse and my right one barely has hair… Lawl middle school probs.
Performance: The woman that threaded my eyebrows did an amazing job! She didn’t thread them too thin or too arched. Definitely come here if your brows aren’t how you desire cos they do an amazing job.

I went in on NYE, Unilocal brang me here lol. I was skeptical, but i came in & was greeted with smiles. The lady that did my eyebrows did such a great job.

This is the second time I have been here. I had eyebrows and full face done. Each time I had a great job and experience. Highly recommend

I HAVE TRIED EVERY OTHER EYEBROW SPECIALISTS IN SAN DIEGO.
I got waxed and threaded at multiple places as everytim i got done somethin would seem wrong and i would go to another one in the hope of fixing it-​buy no one actully fixed it until MJ workin at dis place happened.
I called in thinkin Ayesha could be my brows but was informed she is off and anyways decided to go just by reading the reviews n cing the fotos
Mj did my brows and i see ayesha comin up to me to see how it was all goin (pretty impressed and thinkin to my self if she is the ayesha or. Not)
Finally in absolutle silence of lisenin to wht i wanted … My end results tuk me by a pleasent surprise of great lookin eyebrows.

M a forever to this place

Today I stopped in, sans appointment to see if I could try getting a wax. Robert and Ayesha (the owners) were at the counter and their one waxer, late on a Saturday evening was busy with a client. They asked me if I wanted to make an appointment or I could wait until their waxer was finished.
I elected to wait, and I watched them take eyebrow threading clients with ease. The women came in and got their eyebrows threaded and all left happy. Finally it was my turn and I went in the back with my waxer, Tania. She did a fantastic job, I barely felt any pain and she worked very quickly. She assured me that she would try to go as quickly as she could.
About twenty minutes later or so, we were all done and I had completed my first waxing. It didn’t hurt so much, and definitely nowhere near what I had thought it would be like.
Tania you were fantastic and I tipped accordingly. I highly recommend Aaliyah’s Beauty and Brows for your waxing needs.

I don’t normally go anywhere to get my eyebrows done but decided after a little neglect to go get then reshaped and threaded.
The women are so nice there! Seriously lovely and super respectful. The waiting area is nicely furnished and they’re super transparent about the whole experience and more then happy to give advice.
Also, the pricing is outstanding! Totally worth going, I plan to go back often

I can’t handle wax so threading is my only option for hair removal. I have literally been everywhere and hands down this is the best threading, tint, and pampering. My brows have never looked better. Precise shaping, every gal is a perfectionist. I wish I had discovered them sooner, especially since tinting has changed my life. I feel like I lose 5 years everytime I walk out the doors.

THREADING:
I’m in town for work for the next few months and I’m SO lucky I found a place to call my temporary threading home so quickly! I came in just a few minutes before closing and they took me in with no hesitation. The team here is so friendly. I’m fairly picky about my eyebrows and she (I’m so sorry I forgot your name!) cleaned them up and actually fixed the shape up perfectly.

HAIR/​MAKEUP/​WAX
This place is heaven! First off, walking in, WOW! I love the atmosphere of this place. I have to bring my 2 year old son to my appointments sometimes and the staff are terrific. They are always friendly to him while I get what I need done! My first time here I got my make up and hair done for a wedding. Ayesha did my make up and holy cow, I looked like princess. I don’t tend to use a ton of make up so she did a natural look and I got compliments every second of the night. I will absolutely get it done again at my next event.
Since that went so well I decided to try waxing for the first time ever. Even better! I was absolutely terrified as I have sensitive skin but the lady was so so friendly and kept me in a positive mood the whole time. It was definitely better then I could’ve imagined. I’m ecstatic that I found this place!

I came to the salon to get my hair and makeup done for a formal event. She listened to exactly what I wanted and it turned out great. I received compliments all night on both my hair and makeup.

After much push back, I was finally told I would be receiving my refund. *Fingers crossed* I was happy with the friendly service I received prior to this encounter. When I got my eyebrows tinted they did a good job but this headache of getting a refund back on a deposit I was forced to make to schedule an appointment to wax was ridiculous. I’m happy it was finally resolved but I will save myself the headache next time I’m in San Diego and take my business elsewhere.
Tight with money? I was not the petty one Who promised a $ 20 refund and failed to deliver it. If you are a «legit» business, start by getting your staff on the same page of what your policy is. I called the day before my my appointment and stated I was in the emergency room. You are unprofessional I can see where your staff gets it from.

I’ve been going to Ayesha for my brows since they opened. I have super sensitive skin so threading is the only thing that works for me and she also happens to do a fabulous job.
This review however is about her makeup… I was in a wedding recently and needed to have my make up done. I’m rarely wear makeup and when I do I keep it simple… Mascara… Maybe a little powder is about it. It was a no brainier that I would see Ayesha to do my makeup for the big day.
I was beyond amazed! I’ve never had my make up done professionally, and I’m not going to lie I was slightly terrified of what I would look like all made up. But she did an amazing job. She kept it very natural and I had soooo many compliments I felt like it was part my big day too haha.
I will definitely be recommending her to anyone who needs their brows or makeup done!

I came to Aaliyah’s Beauty and Brows to get my hair and makeup done for a wedding I attended. I arrived my basic, plain-​Jane self and walked out feeling like a celebrity; a more refined version of a Kardashian. I received so many compliments on my hair and makeup, my boyfriend was gaga over me the whole night. I felt beautiful. Aeysha did a fantastic job! I will definitely keep coming here for all my beauty needs!

The shop does a great job with eyebrows. I would go to the place inside mission valley and it was a hit or miss depending who you got. Here every person does a great job. Around noon the parking gets hectic. Today I came in right before noon and no wait. I’ve had to wait when I come during lunch time.
Also I love the cute décor and the tons of magazines they have if you do have to wait. Try them out. You won’t be disappointed!
