On Dec 28th I purchased a L.R. Range Rover Evoque and the salesman (Noël K.) was just fantastic. No pressure, no gimmicks and a overall a super easy buying experience. About 2 weeks prior I gave him an idea of what I was looking for and then he went to work. He found a couple of cars and we drove them all. After picking the white one with black top and cream colored interior, he went to work for me on his sales manager and got me the car at the price I was exactly what I was hoping for…
A couple of weeks after I got the car, I had some aluminum look pedals installed and the new Shop Manager Chris Weston took great care of me. I got to drive an equivalent vehicle for a day or so and they even detailed my car afterwards!
The best part… I must have had 4– 5 phone calls and emails asking how my experience was? and how as a company they could improve /​make my experience better!!!
I can compare it to Nordstrom quality of service…

We saw an ad online and visited the dealership on a Friday evening around 6:15 pm and drove home with our new car around 8:30 pm. Matt Deep treated us like he wants to be treated. The ad unit was still there, the price has not changed. Everything went smooth and quick. This experience was one of my most pleasant and definitely the fastest car leasing experience. I had a rough start at this dealership with an inexperienced salesperson — but General Manager Jason Puga turned things around for me. He took the time to listen to my concerns and he made sure I was taken care of. Service Advisor, Donnie Wetsel also delivered top notch customer service and follow up. I am happy with my pre-​owned Range Rover Sport and I will be back.

I have bought allot of cars in my life, it can be painful sometimes, not here. The showroom is comfortable, the support staff is friendly and your primary contacts make an effort to get to know you.
I bought an incredible used LR4 from Patrick just a week ago. It was a great experience. Patrick and Cherry at Land Rover helped us out and took care of everything. While the car had not completed it’s reconditioning process we wanted it as soon as possible as we had family in town. Patrick was able to get it through the safety portion of the inspection and deliver the vehicle the next day. They simply asked me to just bring it back to finish it up.
So far we have received tremendous service and value from the team at Land Rover San Diego. I tend to be a very loyal consumer, and can see myself buying more vehicles from them in the future. Do yourself a favor and go see Patrick in sales, he will take care of you.

Without a doubt the worst luxury car dealership service I have ever experience out of all the brands and dealers I’ve been to. Calling and getting ahold of someone to ask questions about parts or service is a near two day process as no one ever answers the phones or returns my messages. Aside from that, the sales staff was rude and never even walked up to try and help or ask questions. Overall huge disappointment. I’m assuming they looked at me and disregarded me as a client for my age. I can now say that I am much happier that I put my money on a G550 last week. I take my two rovers elsewhere now. Beware!

I was very impressed with my experience at Land Rover San Diego. Before coming in, I called dealerships in three different counties to find the vehicle I was looking for. My calls either went unanswered or the dealers were less than helpful. Fortunately, I was put in contact with David Peterson at San Diego Land Rover. David helped me with my purchase from beginning to end. He located both vehicles that I was looking for and actually made the process enjoyable. David is very knowledgeable and personable. I had a great experience working with David on my purchase and I would recommend him to all of my family and friend who are in the market for a Rover.

The General Manager needs to train the people at this dealership to answer and return calls. I have called the main number numerous times on different days and no one answers. I go to voice mail on the main number! I have come to expect this from the service people, but not the main number. The service people and the sales people are very casual about returning your call. This is not the type of customer service you expect from a Range Rover dealership.

I bought my RR Sport about a year ago, service is terrible and has been from the start. If they answer the phone and take a message I typically don’t get a call back. Within a month of purchasing my car the entire console display went out and they had to replace it, unfortunately in the process they left pry marks on my dash and it looked like they had thrown the steering wheel on the ground leaving it scraped. They replaced these with new items.
I am now due for my first service, it has taken 3 calls in two days and I’m still not scheduled. The person I spoke to said since I’m «VIP» service she can’t schedule and it goes through another person to schedule… who is unavailable and there’s only one person to schedule the appointment.
I dread taking my car there for fear of what else they will break/​ruin while it’s there. I had 100% better service at GMC and VW with cars that cost a fraction of my RR.

Rather unpleasant service experience. We brought our 2013 Range Rover Sport in for a 60K mile service and for new brakes. We requested an estimate prior to initiating the service work. When we received the estimate in the amount of $ 4500 we elected to get a second bid from an independent shop. As the independent shop’s price for the complete service was $ 2200, we informed Land Rover of San Diego that we would take the vehicle elsewhere for the service. When we arrived to pick up the vehicle we were informed that the 60k service had been completed. We were not happy that they performed the work without providing the requested estimate and when we complained to Gabriel, the service adviser, he became quite hostile and rude. Poor communication and poor customer service!

I’ll just say you sure better hope you get the right person on the right day. Either great customer service and care or you’re treated like you called them at home eating dinner at 6pm. Still bought my car there but not after a definite negative experience. They redeemed themselves and Michael did a great job. I won’t call out the atrocious sales person I first got so let’s just say ONLY work with Michael.

Greatest pricing — very easy to negotiate with and lots of selection.
This dealership has the much deeper selection on their lot compared to other dealers.
Plus they are willing to sell out of their local market area!
We were shopping for the new Discovery Sport CUV and ran across them after posting my trade in value. Will called immediately, found the cars that fit my options needs and got a great trade price (more than Autotrader, KBB, Nada)…
We would have gotten the Disco Sport but a local dealer undercut them and made the deal better.
It would have been the exact same car, but in the end, we decided to stay local.
Next time, we will be looking at the Range Rover Diesel!

Just moved to San Diego from Chicago so this was my first experience. Came in because we lost a box in our move and it had one of our smart keys inside. Came to Range Rover to help remedy the situation. The team needs more communication. Told each team member our story. They charged us for a new key and to program it (we needed another key so that’s fine) but failed to tell me that the smart key lost, will still work too. So basically whoever finds my old key can just come and take my car when they figure out which car it belongs to. No one showed any concern or sympathy for this situation at all. Seems like I cannot be the only person ever to have gotten a key lost/​stolen. There should be systems in place for when someone decides to buy a new key, right? Sales Associate Gabriel was supposed to figure out a solution and call me back. its been one week and no response. Will not be returning again. And meanwhile I still have an active key floating around.

So disappointing to have to take time out of my day to write this review. If there is any other Land Rover dealership you can purchase your vehicle at, do it. Your GPS directs you to Clayton Dr., make the fastest u-​turn you have ever made, and never look back! This dealership is awful after the sale. Seriously save yourself the grief. In fairness to them, the first service experience was ok. Fast forward to exactly a year after purchasing my vehicle & numerous phone calls to schedule a maintenance appointment, and they don’t return your call. Unfortunately I live out of town and I can’t just drive over there easily and complain. I had purchased a BMW before from El Cajon, I regret not buying from the, again! They have an excellent service department, & truly roll out the red carpet for you, no hassle, & they actually call you back.

I really love land rovers/​range rovers. my old land rover is taken in here for oil changes, the receptionist lacks a bit of etiquette and when I answered a survey honestly I got a call about it and I felt sort of uncomfortable about their policy to employees, the nice guy who helped me with the oil change had to open a resolution and log it, just very weird.
Over all, the service provided was exceptional. My car was cleaned and I am satisfied, will absolutely come back.

My experiences at Land Rover /​Range Rover of San Diego has always been very pleasant. I traded in my BMW for a Gorgeous Land Rover HSE. I was offered a good deal for my trade in.
The buying process was definitely 5 Stars. I continue to bring my vehicle in for service, which is also an easy in and out experience. They have a small waiting area with gourmet coffee, drinks and pastries. I have been able to get a clean loaner car each time I’ve come in. Bill A. in service is always very attentive, knowledgeable and accommodating and makes sure any concerns or questions are answered or taken care of. Its great having a dealership where customer service is number #1.
