Kudos to Ryan in the service dept and the rest of the team at Porsche of San Diego. I was in for a simple $ 80 remote control programming visit, but both my car and I were treated with the utmost respect. The waiting area was comfortable and my car was done as promised, when promised. If I need anything in the future, I will be back to visit Ryan.

I just bought my first Porsche 911 from Porsche of San Diego. Julian, the Internet sales Rep I dealt with was very helpful. He communicated through out the whole process. I live in Northern California so I really needed a trust worthy person to deal with. When I flew down to see the car it was exactly as described. I had it delivered last week and love the car. If you need a car call Julian!

I have bought a number of Porsche’s through the years but I have never been more impressed with a dealership than Porsche of San Diego. They are the most professional team your going to find and every employee I come in contact with takes «ownership» like it was there own dealership! I was looking for the new Spyder in June and met with Glenn Anderson, the General Sales Manager. He was incredibly helpful and sincere about getting me just what I wanted. It is a limited production car but he made it one of the best buying experiances ever! He and his staff have been very pro-​active every step of the way with the order process. Long story short, it’s on the Queen Ace with an ETA in SD of today and I will have my new Spyder very shortly! So excited… more news very soon. Jerry

In depth:
I had been searching for a CPO 991s for several months until I found the one I wanted at Porsche San Diego. I immediately called and spoke/​texted with Hanns Gonzalez, who was VERY responsive and professional. He happily provided pictures and accurate descriptions of the car upon request. He also ran the DME/​over rev report for us when we inquired about it. He even took our phone calls on his day off. The next day, we made an offer on the car and he responded within an hour, agreeing to our offer. Needless to say, we felt we got a good deal in the process.
Because we are located elsewhere in California, Hanns had to hold the car for us for a few weeks until we had time to go finalize the deal and pick it up. After our verbal agreement, he displayed a lot of trust in me as a buyer by removing the car from the lot. The dealership did not even run our credit card which we used as a deposit.
When we finally got there, we met Hanns and the Jeff from the finance department. The whole process was very efficient and simple, and after about half an hour of mostly chatting, we were done. There was no hard sell on extra options from Jeff and I felt very relaxed and comfortable. During this process, Hanns made sure to have the car cleaned and prepped for my pick up. Before I took official delivery, he went on a test drive with me to make sure the car is as advertised and even explained some of the features with me. He was extremely personable and made the whole process feel like meeting up with an old friend. At the end, he even persuaded his manager to throw in a pair of euro side markers and touch up paint for us!
Thank you Hanns for a wonderful and speedy purchase experience. I wish I lived closer so I can take my car there for service. I will definitely recommend Porsche SD to my friends and for any future purchases.

I have been purchasing my Porsches from this dealership for about 10 years. It is the only place I would buy my cars. They get me the cars that are hard to find. I don’t think they ever gave me «NO» as an answer. They totally believe in the motto «customers come first». My go to sales guy is KEITH HICKS. He has the knowledge and passion for the brand that I so love. He is not your typical car salesman. He is an expert and an honest one at that. Keith is the best!

Always had great service on my cayenne. Staff is very friendly and they keep you updated if they can’t be with you right that second. Very professional employees.

I recently purchased a Mercedes S63 AMG from Porsche Of San Diego. Before purchasing the vehicle I asked the salesman (Justin Lopez) that the rear tire looked flat when I came to look at it a few days before buying. He stated that the tires were on backwards (rotation) and that they were being swapped as we speak .
Three days after my purchase my rear tire started running flat (Now due to a cracked rear wheel and the TPMS Sensors was showing mismatched pressure. Also paint started chipping off my wheels so I took the car in to be looked at because it was still under warranty on (⁹⁄₃₀). They found out that when the tires were changed to correct rotational direction the sensors were never swapped with the computer to match corresponding sides. So the sensors were reading the incorrect pressure for opposite tires.
After setting a service date and dropping the car off as instructed.(9/30) I was given a rental car and was told that they would cover the costs for the rental (Paperwork states so).
If Les Lisinbee is your service consultant. Please be insanely cautious. Marcy merkin is doing what she can to clean up his lack of efforts. I will be hitting 21 days with a Kia Optima that I was charged for. S63 to an Optima. I contacted the Porsche dealership multiple times and left voicemails for an update (as promised by agent daily) Never received any feedback, after the 6^th call to him I was able to contact the service agent. His reply was he had no hard answer to what was happening or going on with the repairs and that it was supposed to go to the Mercedes dealership today but they didn’t get it in and hopefully they will have it done by the next following day (¹⁰⁄₂). Today is 10/9.Hopefully this gets completed correctly. ¹⁰⁄₁₃ is estimated completion. See pics for continuous attempts for contact and updates.
I contacted a Mercedes dealership and asked what the timeframe was for getting a sensor swapped over and I was told that it was about a two hour turnaround. This is beginning to paint a picture that if it isn’t a Porsche or a $ 400,000 purchase that you are a 4^th priority to average customer service. I have turned all my attention towards Mercedes Benz of Kearney Mesa. In which Dave marrapodi has been a huge help.
It is very disappointing to see this level of service for such a stellar name in the game. Just want my car fixed correctly and returned. 50 days and counting (SEE ATTACHED PICS OF DOCUMENTS) for a TPMS swapover and leak location… Terrible customer service. BBB complaint for action submitted along with corporate Porsche contacted with all documentation. **UPDATE** ¹⁰⁄₁₉. Been in contact with upper management (Glenn Anderson .GM)(Mike Cohen. Service GM) and resourcing the wheel for repair that had damage. However due to Safety/​Lemon guides me and associates are looking into sales with known safety issues.
**UPDATE**
Problem located on wheel. Wheel was bent prior to purchase and caused the two wheel piece of wheel to leak air. Vehicle is still under Porsche’ custody. 10/​27/​2016. Looks as a 6 week repair in total as estimated by management. Finally a Porsche loaner was given to me. Still awaiting final work and return of car. Will continue to update.

Spoke with Glenn Anderson. Now it’s next week for the return of my car. This will be a 60 day two month repair to a wheel. Porsche is dragging this out beyond belief. Had to get a lawyer involved to reverse vehicle sale. Lemon seller. Along with KUSI Turko files. Watch the news next week. Patience wore extremely thin due to seeing how many people it took to take action on a TPMS SENSOR AND WHEEL DAMAGE. in the days to come I will be posting pics of every email and document as possible. I was a victim of Porsche of San Diego.

Car has finally been returned to me. Over 2 months. However, Wheels were painted and TPMS sensors still do not work as designed. See attached emails and invoice from Porsche. just glad to have my car back. absolutely the worse experience of my life with this company and tactics. Read the review and look at documents and pictures. Those are the facts in this case.

My husband and I have been searching for a Ford F250 Diesel for six months and knew when we found the right truck we would purchase it. We found one at your dealership and immediately went to look at it. Arien Porter greeted us upon arrival and began to show us the truck. His friendly, professional demeanor is recognized. We are not typical Porsche customers, we were buying a diesel truck, but we were treated with the up most respect throughout the process by all members of the San Diego Porsche Team. We had a toddler with us as well and everyone ensured she was comfortable, entertained and provided us snacks. We are now the proud owners of a beautiful, well maintained, and pristine Car Fax Ford F-​250 Diesel Truck. Now you have a little extra space on your lot for a few more Porsche vehicles! Paid for a vehicle 100% last Thursday… Still waiting for its delivery, began the transaction OVER two weeks ago. I know transportation needs to be arranged but every day is a new email with no info about when the vehicle will be delivered. Where is the car!!!
Got a call from a different rep, 10−12days more, why? Make sure you get confirmation of shipment date if you consider purchasing a vehicle. If you are on the East Coast this is what you might experience.

I want to recognize Crystal Ortiz in the Certified Parts Department. She provides incredible customer service and Porsche is very fortunate to have her working for them! She went above and beyond to help me with a situation and I couldn’t be more happy with the outcome she was able to create. I love Porsche and this is exactly why I drive one. Our 2014 911 – 50 needed its first annual servicing. The car also had 3 warranty related items to address. They solved one problem by replacing a part and, after careful considering and evaluation, concluded the other issues were normal.
We got a Porsche loaner for the 3 days it was being serviced and picked up the car after they hand washed it. We dealt with Marcy for the drop-​off and Leslie for the pickup and were very happy with the experience. Everything about our interaction with them was very professional and we couldn’t be happier.

Not sure what is going on but things are a bit off with this place. They don’t call you back when you ask them to. They are not able to fix problems when they come up. I always thought of Porsche as a very high end, due diligent, ethical, trustworthy company but those feeling are dissipating kind of rapidly. I was going to get a client of mine a Porsche Macan Turbo from this place but if they keep messing up i might have to go somewhere else. I really hope they can make it right.

Porsche makes the best cars in the world. The only question is where to buy and service one? Answer — Porsche of San Diego.
We bought a Cayenne Turbo here and just love it and everything about our experience. Loved the sales experience and absolutely trust our service adviser beyond reproach, which is very important with cars like there. We also feel their technicians are world-​class.

We too have had negative experiences with this dealer. We have been there (5) times looking for a Porche Boxter. Not once did a salesman meet us or ask to help us. After walking aimlessly for 30 – 45 minutes, we left.
Most recently, we actually did see someone, 6^th visit, was told sales manager would call back. No call. Beginning to think a Porche is not in my future.

Edited: My original review (see below) resulted in an immediate call and email from the dealership owner. In speaking with him I know that there is a strong desire to provide excellent service. Furthermore, I believe that he was truly horrified by my experience and he has personally taken on the challenge of helping me. While I stand by my original review as it relates to my experience, I also acknowledge that there are forces within the dealership that are working to deliver the quality that should be expected.

While the selection of vehicles is wonderful, the customer service fails at every level.
I submitted an internet query on Monday afternoon and immediately received the automated response, which included a direct line to Justin, the internet sales representative.
Long story short it took four calls and two emails reach the representative. After chatting for 10 minutes or so, I made an offer and was told that he would talk to his manager and return my call. No call has come and my calls and email have gone unanswered. I even went so far to contact Glen, the General Sales Manager to see talk through the situation and figure out how we could close the deal. Unfortunately, the results were similar — an email and phone call unanswered. Five days with no communication.
Perhaps the car was sold, perhaps the salesman didn’t like that I was from another state. It doesn’t matter — communication and relationship development is crucial when dealing with premium cars and this dealership has consistently failed in both areas. Spend your money wisely and get the experience you deserve.
Find a reliable dealership to work with when buying the car that you want. There are a lot of options out there — don’t settle for Porsche of San Diego.

Visited a couple of times with my dad because he was interested in checking out one of their SUV models. The facilities were fairly maintained and they have a decent selection of vehicles for their inventory, but the staff didn’t seem that interested in helping us out. Unless you approached one of them and asked to check out a certain vehicle, they didn’t really step over to address you. Not sure if that’s just their policy or because we weren’t dressed to impress. Regardless, the experiences left a bit to be desired.
EDIT (08/​10/​2015): It’s worth noting that I was visiting this location because my father was eyeing a car to get for himself. For a few reasons, I was not there looking to buy myself and made these observations as someone accompanying and, in some ways, assisting a parent with a purchase. That said, my dad ended up getting his pre-​owned 911 from them and he’s content with it, so I am, as well. Thus, I’ll concede one more star to them. Also, I have responded to the location’s owner as of tonight.

I’ve been coming to Porsche of San Diego for several years and have always been very pleased with the dealership and the service I’ve received. Whether it was for scheduled maintenance or an unexpected repair on my 2005 Boxster S, the service department has done a great job (with no negative issues), treated me me in a friendly and professional manner, and explained the work pre and post service. They always offered me the option of a ride home or a loaner car if the service would take longer than an hour or two.
When it came time to trade up to a newer Porsche, I knew right where to go. I’d spoken with Daniel Lewis in Sales on several occasions while I was browsing the new models. Daniel has a great demeanor and I feel like I’m talking with a friend. He also has an in-​depth knowledge of the Porsche line and is passionate about the brand. After discussing my wants and needs for a new car, he guided me towards a new 2015 Boxster that was just what I was looking for. The right color and options, and manual shift, of course. We also discussed doing a custom order, but I decided that the one at the dealership was exactly what I wanted.
Porsche of San Diego gave me a good trade-​in value for my older Boxster and Jeff Dodds got me a great interest rate on a bank loan. A few hours later I was driving home in a brand new Porsche. Everything went very smoothly and I am quite pleased.
A week later, I dropped the car off to have the clear bra and a few other options installed. Service Advisor Les Lisenbee made sure everything was done to my satisfaction and even went the extra mile to install the new turn indicators and key fob I’d purchased in Parts. Les has been my service advisor on several appointments and is great to work with.
Fast forward a few months. The car is awesome and I decided to upgrade the exhaust to the factory Porsche Sport Exhaust to make it even more awesome. Les wasn’t in that particular day, so I worked with Josh Slanker as my Service Advisor. Josh and Daniel worked to get everything ordered and set up the installation date. When the parts came in, Josh explained in detail what the work would entail and set me up with a Porsche loaner. You can tell that Josh is very much a car person and was almost as excited as I was to hear the new exhaust. The service went perfectly and once again, I’m very pleased with Porsche of San Diego.

I wanted to check out the new Macan today, I decided to pay Porsche of San Diego a visit since it was on my way to work. I was really really happy with everything from car selection to how enthusiastic and knowledgeable the salesman was, I was greeted by Keith who was very professional yet fun and enthusiastic. I was impressed how he knew a lot about this car and the way he point out exciting features and technical details. It sounded like he enjoys those cars just as much or more than I do.
I think I didn’t need to ask any questions because Keith went over almost everything, I think I know more now than if I would have asked questions. I also must have fell in love with the car just because he was very good at point out things I think he figured I would like based on my taste and driving style.
All in all they guy are very professional and friendly. Thank you for letting me out of the door with no pressure since I really had to run to the office quickly and following up with emails to try to get me in again the same day to buy the car :)
