Formerly Sid’s Pub, JP’s was Opened by owners Peter Luster and the late Jerry Hartman in 2000. Jerry left his half of the bar and a son to his wife Sue.

This is my local pub — mostly all regular locals from the neighborhood who are awesome to b around. This place is just like «cheers» where everyone knows your name. Some Friday nights they have a live band! Great prices on drinks and pretty good bar food (prices went up on the food) Thursday nite is .50 cent wing night .The only place I go for a drink in t town !! Just wish they had more «specials» throughout the week besides their $ 5 burger.
Update — they r finally painting the inside of the bar which has been long overdue. My only complaint is that someone needs to clean the bars and wires that hold up the awning over the bar. It’s absolutely filthy and dusty ! I sometimes worry what might fall into my drink while sitting at the bar. I guess if u have enough to drink u won’t notice what’s above u!

This is a very friendly neighborhood bar. Beautiful bartenders, nice and interesting clientele. I really like to chicken wings, very good. Very basic bar, but a good place to stop in while in the area.

Initially, I was a bit taken back by the bearded bartender outside looking at us like idiots when we were looking for the entrance. Once we got in, sat down and met our server… things were all good. Wings were delicious. Beer was drank at a rapid rate. The other customers were talkative and over all cool. The diversity was very comforting as well. I think I’ll become a regular. I highly recommend… especially on Thursdays.

This place was awesome! They had different games in different TVs they played different types of music. You couldn’t hear the games which is a con but it still a great place. It’s dark, and cool. The bar is inexpensive. We were even offered dollar beer because they wanted to get rid of the Keg.
The wings. Now you may like Buffalo Wild Wings or hooters. The thing about their wings is that they have NO meat on their bones. At JPs they had meat and they were juicy. They were delicious. We also had the fried pickles and it was a pickle cut in 4s but it was delicious and juicy. I love their food and their drinks.
We are definitely coming back to this place!
Their staff is also super friendly.

Decent vibe, kind of looks like a failed TGI Fridays on the inside. The comedy show they have every 4th Sunday is ok. The best thing about this dive bar is the AMAZING menu.

So, hubby and I thought we’d go to JPs and catch the final game of the Little League World Series, have a beer or 3 and a burger. We decided not to sit at the bar (several loud bar flies) and sat at a table and waited. The table of 5 next to us was served drinks but still no one to take our order, so we wait… There are 2 bartenders for a total «crowd» of less that 20, and one has time to be on her phone, and we wait… After several minutes we decide to leave and ask the bartender if we were invisible, and she tells us that they don’t provide table service. OK, but why didn’t you tell us that when we came in, or when you brought the drinks to the table next to us? We were only about 10 feet from the bar and were deliberately ignored. Oh well, after 30+ years in Tierrasanta we’ll have to find a new local place.

We always have fun here. Great drink specials and the food is «bar food great». Tuesday is Tanya’s shift, I can only think of «F» words to describe her: friendly, fun and fretty! Darren is a cool ass manager who takes the time to say hi to customers.

This place is great. Tanya is the best bartender with a chicken tattoo, she can be a brat from time to time but normally she’s sweet: p think I might become a regular someday. The music was dope thanks to yours truly!
Side note: this place smells like bengay and retirement homes during the day. Haha

Still a great local neighborhood hang out. It is true that some of the other bartenders are gone. Steve O is still there hanging and serving and drinking. Used to go there a lot but it’s been about a year. Let’s give the newbies a chance.

JP’s is the local hang out in Tierrasanta. All the great bartenders that you read about in previous reviews are all gone. Now new people and Darren, which you can read about in previous reviews.
Pool night it’s busy, and they have karaōke M/​W/​Sat. Karin runs W/​Sat and is great. Bo runs M night now, and it’s really hit and miss on if you can sing in the rotation (or the KJ remembering your name).
The food is awesome and great props to the kitchen, especially the Beef Quesadilla! Well worth it!
Overall a great place for a Bloody Mary in the morning, or to hang out W or Sat night. Not much otherwise.

Karaōke Wednesday. It’s a decent clean bar and the karaōke host was good. The vocals were submerged by too much echo on the effects.
I would have given the bar more stars, but the bartender and cocktail waitress were terribly inattentive. We literally could only order one drink at a time (there was a group of four of us) because they kept walking away.
It’ a great way to prevent over serving, repeat customers, and tips.
Ok, I bumped the review up a star. We checked in on Unilocal to get a free Jell-​O shot and were informed by the waitress that they are no longer honoring this offer. She spoke to the manager who came over and offered a different shot instead.

We drove by this plaza and the huge sign that said «THURSDAY 40 cent WINGS» caught our eye.

We decided to give this pub a try and it turned out to be a great choice. The pub was super cute and homey. The bartender came out of the bar, walked up to our table to greet us and took our order and he was also our server for the night. He was super nice.
They have SMOKED wings here which was amazing, so if you every want a healthier alternative to fried wings, this is the place to go. We tried the spicy bbq and asian sauce and I liked the Asian sweet and source sauce better.
My date got a beer, so with 20 wings, a beer and a large order or (very delicious) tater tots, our bill came out to only $ 14.
I am definitely coming back here when I crave wings! =) Healthy, cheap, delicious, and great service!

Came here to check out the menu for happy hour, wasn’t too impressed. It’s way too dark in here. Ordered 7 pc chicken wings that were flavored by buffalo sauce. Took almost 30 mins to come out. Atleast the guy who brought out the food was nice and apologized about it. Won’t ever be back here.
Oh yeah, I checked in here and asked about the free offer they gave if you check in which was a jello shot and apparently they havent done that for about couple years now because of a new owner. My advice, take the coupon off Unilocal.
All I can say is that the workers are nice.

It was our first time ever to this bar, we came for a show that our friends were putting on and the place was awesome despite some of the reviews here. Everyone of the bar staff was awesome, the waitress especially was very nice and courteous, she always would ask if we needed anything when she came by. The food was excellent as well, you don’t always get the best food at bars, some is sub par, but their food was dank, and they brought us all two things of ranch with food without having to ask, I thought that was so awesome, I never have enough ranch other places. Drink specials can’t be beat and nice friendly atmosphere, can’t wait to go back next time my friends play there!
