Description

Specialties

Specializing in great local and craft brewed beer with an emphasis on hoppy beers on tap and Belgian ales in the bottle. We are an American Pub with an Irish name. Great pub food with burgers, sandwiches, salads and incredible house made soups. Cask ales every Thursday at 5 pm and 10% off all bottles on Saturday and Sunday.

History

Established in 1994.

Opened by Jim O’Brien in 1994, O’Brien’s was the first account for many of San Diego’s craft breweries. Bought in 2003 by then local brewer Tom Nickel. The name was retained though the sign out front proclaims «An American Pub».
