John Robinson’s Inspection Group

My husband and I are in the process of buying our first home and relocating. Our inspector was Chad and we couldn’t be more impressed with his services. Chad went to great lengths to explain each area he examined and his findings. He was extremely personable and knowledgable. He emailed us a completed report (with pictures) which was detailed and easy to understand– within hours of completing the inspection. My husband was unable to make the inspection, however, he felt like he was there when reviewing Chad’s report. Without a doubt we will continue to use his services for our future home purchases. Would HIGHLY recommend this company!

Curtis was very thorough and patient with us. The buyer’s agent, seller’s agent, both buyers, and the buyer’s father were all present at the inspection and Curtis reviewed everything he found with us and answered all of our questions no problem.

Search no further! John Robinson’s Inspection Group are as good as they get, and then some! If you are looking for a trusted professional that will «tell it like it is» these pros have what you need. After interviewing several home inspection companies, and doing their due diligence, I have had over 12 buyers, in the past 6 months, that have selected JRIG’s company for their home inspection services. (yes, that makes me a Realtor) And each and every client has been blown away at the diligence and level of detail that is put into each report. Every JRIG inspector uses a FLIR gun at each inspection. A MUST for any Pro-​level inspection. A FLIR gun is an Infrared device that can virtually «see» through the walls, and provides a «temperature signature» for… everything. It will show if there are hot or cold spots, where the heating/​cooling duct work is leaking behind the walls or in the attic, and will also pick up on differences in temperature due to excessive moisture or water leaks. Here is a quick FLIR «Success» Story: JRIG saved my clients $ 5,000!!! When testing the central heater, with the heater blowing full blast, John (the man himself did this inspection) walked around the house with the FLIR gun, checking the output temperatures at each heat register and also scanning the walls and ceiling for any «heat loss.» (When there is a leak in the duct work in the attic or walls, on the FLIR gun you can see, plain as day, a yellow-​orange blog emanating from a heat leak, blue for cold,.super cool.) As John was scanning the ceiling in the downstairs bathroom, instead of picking up a heat signature coming from the heat register, the heat was pouring out of the Exhaust Fan!!! (Hmmmm…Exhaust fans are for removing moisture… when you want to get moisture out of a bathroom, it should is supposed to exhaust to the exterior of the house! NOT push the moisture into your entire heating/​cooling ductwork! Without a FLIR camera, NO WAY, this defect would have been discovered! This led him back to the central heat unit, where he discovered scorch marks on the exterior, rust on the inside and combustion flames too yellow in color (creating dangerous CO gas… Yikes!) He recommended further inspection by a HVAC specialist. We followed his advice and the specialist said that the entire central heater had to be replaced and the duct work corrected. Their seller had their own HVAC guy go out there, and he agreed. So we were able to negotiate for the seller to install a new central heater and had all the duct work fixed. And, most importantly, a provide safe home for my clients! I have worked with, and have come know well, each one of John’s inspectors, Chad, Curtis, Tom, Andrew and John himself. Each one of them works to the same, high level of standard. An unmatched level of expertise and caring with these guys. Thanks JRIG!

The sellers accepted our offer and only gave us 4 days to do inspection. It was also Memorial Day Weekend, and most companies were already booked since it’s home buying season already! Curtis from John Robinson’s Inspection Group was able to fit us in their schedule, within a few days! He was punctual, efficient, and explained everything for a first time home buyer. The report was given to us in under 24 hours.
I want to also mention that the seller’s already had a previous inspection report, which was shared with us ahead of time — done by a different company. Not only did Curtis find more problems than the other inspection company, but he was also able to cross check the items from the other report to let us know how severe the problems actually were!

First time home buyer so i’m freaking out about everything, not to mention i was dreading the inspection. Had a great experience doing our inspection with Curtis from John Robinson’s Inspection Group. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything he was seeing, giving us an opportunity to ask any questions we had along the way. We had a concern about a portion of the foundation in the crawl space under our house, and Curtis took the time to pay special attention and get extra pictures of it for us. When he was finished, he gave us a thorough summary and preview of all the pictures, and we received the full official report less than 24 hours later. Would definitely recommend.

I highly recommend this company. Tom was our inspector. He was on-​time, friendly and professional. He walked us through the house explaining his observations.
His work has saved us from purchasing a money pit. Many of the repairs were typical of an older home. However, after crawling under the house he told us the foundation was severely damaged. Based on the information in his report we decided not to move forward with the home sale.
The report he sent was thorough and very informative with a photo for every observation that was in need of repair or follow-​up. We will use what we learned from this experience when we look at homes in the future. We plan to hire this company for our next home inspection.
