iTAN Sun Spray Spa – Point Loma

There really is no particular reason why I’m giving them four stars instead of five but I just don’t feel they deserve the full five stars. Only because sometimes booking is a pain. Overall very nice location have all of the usual tanning bed and spa features it is a little difficult to park but I would hardly consider that their fault. This is probably one of my preferred locations of this business second only to Pacific beach location

Best tanning salon with spa services! Amazing deals for unlimited tanning services. With the expertise of the friendly staff, I built a beautiful tan that makes me feel great. I’ve also been using the body wrap which has helped reduce the appearance of cellulite and helped me lose a few pounds while I relax and watch a movie! Love this place, would recommend to al of my friends who want a lovely tan.

I have been going to this iTan location for a little over a year now and couldn’t be happier! It’s super convenient for me, as I go to Pilates Room in the same shopping center. Have done both the Mystic Tan and UV beds. The girls are really friendly and welcoming! :)

This place is good for tanning and the front girls are knowledgeable when it comes to the products but this place is NOT orderly which is somthing I do not like. I came in and told them I wanted to do the tanning bed and also spray tan so you would figure that there would be a list for who goes next because it should go by the order in which they come in but no. I’m here having to wait now for 2 other girls that came in after me which is ridiculous. It should go by first come first served. Ha, and as I’m writing this post standing here waiting another girl comes in and wants the spray tan too and one of the girls who is at the front desk tells her that there is a list and they’ll put her name on it. Wth??? So she can go on a list in order from when she came in but I cant? I guess it’s because she’s a regular because when she came in they all knew her.

Been going to iTAN for about 4 years now and am ALWAYS happy with my experience! The staff is extremely polite and helpful! They have great products that help with both beds and spray. I don’t do beds too often anymore, so I love that they have great spray tan options as well! I love when you ask for dark here you get dark!
I definitely recommend going iTAN if you are in the area! You won’t regret it!

LOVE Itan point loma! I’ve been going for over 4 years. Never crowded and such friendly service. The staff was helpful and answered all my questions. I could always count on having a tan that wouldn’t make me orange after. I moved up to Orange County and still come back down just so i can go to an Itan. Extremely reliable tans and very clean salon! I always feel more confident after I double dip there. Love love love

My favorite location to go to! I always try to go in when Cortney, Kathleen or Taylor are working because they’re so sweet and tell me exactly what I need to feel like a bronze goddess! The beds are always clean and everyone is super helpful, I never feel like I’m being pressured to buy extra things I won’t need and there’s never any buyer’s remorse! Love you guys, and thanks for always making me smile!

I come here a lot to get Mystic Spray Tans. The staff is really great, and always really nice. I will say, this last time I got a mystic, it came out terrible! My pre tan regimen was exactly the same, but somehow, I had a distinct line on both legs at the calf line. It almost looked like i wore yoga pants while I got sprayed. Was really bummed about that. Also, the tan usually lasts around 5 days for me, but this one only lasted 2 – 3.

I sometimes choose this location if I’m too lazy to go to the PB location. great staff, always friendly! The place is tiny through… you can barely turn around in the rooms. It gets the job done though:)

I really enjoyed my first visit to iTan! I signed up at this location with Kathleen. She was great. She walked me through the initial setup and got me on the right plan. I was very impressed with the machines, as I’m not used to the futuristic vibe with them talking to you! Love that! I could hear the spray tan machine giving instructions to another customer, I felt like I was in Star Tours at Disneyland. The place was spotless and my whole experience was a pleasure. Thanks again Kathleen!

I only Mystic tan and after being disappointed by the Bay Park location time and time again, I finally made the switch to the Sports Arena one and THANK GOODNESS I did. The ladies are all super friendly and the tan is pretty close to consistent. Once in rare while I end up having to wait, but even then it’s only for maybe 5 minutes. I definitely back this iTan! My only complaint is I wish the monthly fee was a bit lower, but it is what it is in that regards.

Deducted a ½ star because they don’t have their own bathroom — you have to borrow the key from the front to go OUTSIDE then to the bathroom. Very annoying — I like washing my hands after utilizing tanning equipment that other people have touched as well as getting any bronzer off my hands (don’t want stained cuticles).
Deducted another ½ star because when I was there last night (Nov.17^th) I get into the tanning room and hear a loud kind of snap and thing someone was trying to open my door and I was totally nude. I whipped around but my door was still shut and realized it was the noise of the VACUUM unlocking from upright position… to then vacuum. While at least TWO people are still utilizing the equipment. Very rude and NOT realizing hearing a vacuum while trying to relax. Fortunately she must have just has a small area to vacuum and stopped before I was actually in the bed (vacuum was going for a few min while I was applying lotion).
Otherwise it’s ok here — rooms are a bit cramped compared to mission valley and PB locations but that’s not a big deal.
Side note — hilarious for when you need a laugh go to the parking lot in front of the 24 hour fitness… there is an up escalator and down with stairs in the middle. Well, if you watch just about everyone coming out of 24 hour fitness uses the escalator… LOL

When you come to a location and get greeted how I did at ITAN, you know you’ve picked the right location.
I was greeted by a girl named Cortney. She was very knowledgable of the equipment and products. I asked what was best for my girlfriend, she recommended gift certificate.
It was very clean and I recommend this tanning salon!

The location is nice, it’s the exact same as the California Tan that they replaced, but with a new coat of paint. Exact same layout and everything.
The reason for my poor review is the front desk girl was so rude it was hard not to turn around and walk out. Had I not at bought a day prior at the PB location (where the girls were super sweet) I probably would have. Jordan actually acted disgusted by my presence in the salon. Really unfortunate to have an employee like that.

I switched to this salon about a week ago from the downtown location and was pleasantly surprised by the facilities.
It it situated in an older shopping center but do not let that fool you. The inside is well maintained and beds and body wraps are upgraded and in great condition! I was much happier with the quality of the beds at this salon as opposed to downtown.
Staff is very friendly, welcoming and accommodating, something you can’t find at all iTans!
The only reason I take away one star is because there is no bathroom inside the salon. You need to get the key from them and use a shopping center bathroom outside and around the corner. Aside from that, this location is perfect as can be.

I am here now for the first time ever @ an iTan. I must say everything has been great. Caileigh explained everything to me flawless & has pointed me in the right direction on getting my skin ready for vacation. She is very nice & knowledgable. Each room was very clean & i really like that they have baby wipes in every room so you don’t gave to leave smelly. Great place. I don’t see myself ever going back to hollywood tans!!!

This location is pretty good. It is not as good as the Mission Valley location but the staff are friendly and helpful.
They have most the tanning/​spray tan machines. The staff members that I have dealt with this far have been knowledgable and eager to help if/​when I need assistance.
The interior and rooms have been consistently clean and the wait is not usually too long.

Every time I come to this location the girls are so knowledgeable and friendly. I have been to many different iTAN’s but this is by far the cleanest and most relaxing to come to. Each one of them remember me each time I come in and never make me feel like a number. Awesome experience every time I come in! THANK YOU!

Friendly staff, great services and did I mention the staff is friendly? Facilities are clean and always available– I have never had to wait!

Girls are friendly but not knowledgable about the mystic tan! I usually go to Mission Valley and LOVE IT but since they open it by my house, i wanted to give it a try few times. First i did the Mystic, i got brown spots all over my body and next time I went, I told them and asked them politely the clean the spray better! And one girl did it, and turned out a lot better.
FYI: I do Mystic once a week, for the last 2 years, so i am a pro about it.
Next time I went again, it was a different girl, and I asked her to clean the spray better and I mentioned my concern about the stains on my body. She said she would do!
I add a triple bronzer every time, too. So, this time, she forgot to shake the bottle to blend it good, and OMG, it turned out TERRIBLE. Now, I look like i have some kind of skin disease.
They have to train the girls better on the Mystic.

I just wanted to give a big thanks to the girls at it this itan!
Came in for my first mystic tan ever and the girls did a wonderful job. They picked the perfect color for my skin tone and walked me through the entire thing! My skin is glowing and I just wanted to say I am one happy customer :) thank you!!!

I have to say that Ashley the area manager handled my last review very well and professional, I got a call from her the next day I posted the review offering her apologies for not getting the special that was running at the time I signed up. She offered me two months of free tanning for the inconvenience, thats what I call making a customer happy and wanting to come back. Thank you Ashley, you have a great time and definetely we can all make mistakes no one is perfect. I will be coming back to itan this weekend :-)
