History
Established in 2014.
I.E. Health was conceptualized while founder, Ian Elwood, was in Graduate School at San Diego State University. During his studies there Ian began to understand how potent movement could be at reducing pain. At the time he was working with SDSU athletics teams as a Certified Athletic Trainer and had the opportunity to see how effective restoring coordinated full body movement was for injury rehabilitation.
After Ian graduated he worked with several other institutions, including the united states navy and united states marine corps, where he was able to refine his skill set. In October of 2014 Ian decided to establish I.E. Health to help local athletes achieve pain free movement and improve their performance.
Meet the Business Owner
Ian E.
Business Owner
Ian is a certified athletic trainer who has worked with athletes at all levels of competition. He currently works full time with Marine Corps recruits at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego California. Using a keen eye for movement patterns and an effective treatment plan he has rehabilitated hundreds of marines and recruits back to full duty. Ian’s passion for human movement and attention to detail have made him an effective clinician, treating injuries and improving performance with movement correction, manual therapies (Active Release Technique, Muscle Energy Technique) and functional exercise.
When he isn’t helping others to improve Ian enjoys being outside, most physical activities and exploring new areas of san diego.
