Hillcrest Optical is located in the heart of Bankers HIll/​Hillcrest communities. Hillcrest Optical, originally San Diego Optical was established in 1948. It has a rich and diverse history of providing quality optical services while keeping pace with fashion and function of the newest technologies and trends. Our on site lab allows us to personally finish you eyewear with accuracy and as quickly as quality allows. At Hillcrest Optical we believe eyewear is your most important accessory.

The owner of Hillcrest Optical since 2004 Lisa Steinhoff has been an Optician since 1990 working with a variety of Optometrists and Ophthalmologist in California and Texas. Developing a passion for fitting people with quality eyewear for the most comfortable and beautiful glasses reflecting the wearers style and sensibility.

She brings to her unique optical boutique at Hillcrest Optical the love of providing outstanding customer service, giving her clients state of the art technology in optical lenses and treatments. Lisa stocks a wonderful variety of quality frames featuring unique designs, from the classics to elegant and the unusual. Made in the USA and many European designed and made frame lines are offered. Sunglasses can be ready to wear or prescription. Custom reading glasses and a variety of computer glasses are a real pleasure to take the stress out of our work days.
