Dr. Kling is the best!!! My husband had ²⁰⁄₆₀ vision and he could not drive or get a license. Dr. Kling got him to ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision. His bedside manner is impeccable and the office personnel are caring and professional. Thank you so much Dr. Kling you are the BEST!!!

I’ve been going blind… I think I’m getting old. Anyway, came here and had the best service. When it comes to health and my body I always ask a ton of questions and the staff was so informative and explained why why they were using whatever machine they were using at the time. They made sure I was super comfortable with my new contacts before I purchased them.
They are amazing and I recommend this place to anyone looking for an eye doctor with a great staff!

Great optometry to get your eyes checked and contacts. They are very accommodating. I’ve seen Dr. Fasciani and he’s great. Cool attitude, takes time to answer all my questions and concerns. Staff are very friendly and professional.

OK, I came here for the first time a couple years ago and went to Dr. Kling. He was awesome!!! Now, my eyes are dry and couldn’t see very well so needed to go get a new prescription. Dr. Kling wasn’t available so I saw Dr. Dexter. I just got my new contacts a few days ago and at first they were strange but after a few days with my eyes adjusting they’re awesome. I’m far sighted and hard for me to see close so they have to do some funky things for me so I can see distance and close. Last night I was on my cell phone and I kept reaching for my reading glasses and realized I don’t need them because I could see!!! I don’t think my near vision has ever been so good. I“‘m so happy I wish I could get them 1 billion stars! Everyone is so nice and patient because I can be a pain in the A**. So, great place to come, I completely recommend. They’re worth every penny.

The worst experience I’ve ever had. I ordered glasses from them on Feb. 25, knowing that I needed a new prescription badly (I even stopped driving at night because it was so bad) and that I was helping to move a friend cross-​country at the end of March. They told me ten business days to get the glasses.
After two weeks, I got a call saying that the lab was having trouble making my difficult prescription. Yeah, I do get graduated bifocals and I’m astigmatic, but I’ve had this type of prescription filled twice before at other places with no issues.
At the time, I let them know that I desperately needed my glasses by March 20, when I was flying out to pack up and drive back across the country. They said they’d try, and they did try and work with the lab to get them to me.
But nope! After a lot of back and forth and promises that there would be no charge for the glasses because of the long wait, I ended up having to do the move in my old glasses, which turned into a nightmare of a drive in rain and night driving. Ruined what I’d been looking forward to as a fun (if arduous) trip with a friend.
Finally was able to go and pick them up today, and nothing was mentioned about the crazy delays and I paid full price ($ 575!!!) for what are lovely glasses, but not worth the wait and aggravation. I would have canceled them in the middle of this process, but I was told there would be no charge, so I didn’t (I would have happily paid for the frames, btw, since it was the lenses that cause the issue).
I had been super excited to get them, but now I’m going to kind of hate them every time I put them on.
Do NOT go here. They’re very polite and friendly and their frames selection is gorgeous but:
1. Why are they using an incompetent lens lab?
2. Don’t act super concerned in the middle of a customer service crisis and offer things, only to act like nothing ever happened when it comes time for the customer to pay.
In other words, go somewhere else. I am (next up, some kickass prescription sunglasses!).

I just finished my annual checkup with Dr. Kling today, which was seamless. I have been going to Invision since 2008, and have been pleased with each visit. I have had glasses my since is was young, so I have seen many eye-​doctors. Dr. Kling and his staff are always helpful and nice, and will answer any questions that you have. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a good eye doctor.

I loved the tech, Ivy, and Dr Dexter. Both very professional, caring, and have a friendly presence about them. They had a great selection of «up to date» styles of frames. They are kind of pricey though, probably because they are very «up to date».
I walked in blind and walked out able to see, and I can’t complain about that!

I came here about a year ago for an eye exam. I was told by my insurance and the receptionist and my insurance would cover the visit. After the exam and seeing Dr. Dexter (who came into the room for all of 5 minutes), I was told that insurance only covered the first part of the appointment and the doctor time was not covered by insurance, to the tune of $ 80.75. I was told I had to pay and felt I was treated unfairly. Furthermore, I spoke with several coworkers using the same insurance and all of them informed me that they did not have to pay a penny for their eye exam when they went into the doctor’s ofifce. I will not be coming back to this location again and will choose a different provider that will be upfront about prices from the get go.
**Shortly after the initial review, Dr. Kling reached out to me and apologized for the negative experience. After 2 – 3 messages back and forth, Dr. Kling sent me a reimbursement check for my previous visit. He clearly cares about his business and will go above and beyond to make sure customers are satisfied. That said, I would suggest going to Hillcrest Optometry over Invision Eye Care for future visits. Lower rates for VSP insured patients, shorter wait times and great staff.**

The quality of the of the doctors is without peer or superior. They are fantastic. They use state of the art equipment and the technicians are fully adept and personable. The only real problem is the staff help. It seems like it takes three visits to order a simple pair of glasses. When you ask them what their business hours are they tell you they close at 5 p.m., only to arrive and find out they closed the office to that afternoon for some in-​staff training. So if you want true quality optical treatment and don’t mind the hassle with the staff, this is the place for you. They would have received 5 stars had it not been for the staff.

Best experience here! Dr. Kling is a very friendly, competent doctor and all staff, especially Ivy, are very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend! I tore a contact lens with a too-​vigorous face washing last night, and it was my last pair. I had to be at work this morning so I needed a place to get contacts from quickly this morning. My own optometrist was closed and their other branch only sold glasses. My husband and I started calling around to random places when he found Invision. He spoke with a super friendly woman (not sure of her name spelling and don’t want to butcher it!) at their front desk and told her my story. She said that she could help me out, to come on in. I got there, filled out the new client paperwork and she hooked me up with a new pair of contacts! She was so friendly and helpful, my family will be trusting them with all of our vision care needs!

The whole team at Invision is awesome! Very thorough exam, testing and consultation. Very professional!

I had my first appointment at Invision today to renew my contact perscription and I was really impressed with the professionalism of this establishment. Ivy initially helped me through my eye exams and she made sure to explain each machine to me and she was really sweet to me. Dr. Kling is very down to earth and he didn’t treat me like another ol patient. He took time to answer my questions and study my exam results thoroughly. The technology they use is legit! Great place and I will definitly be back.

I cannot thank the staff enough! Back in October ’13 I developed a corneal ulcer… VERY PAINFUL… needless to say my husband found Invision Eye Care for me. It was a Saturday and most everywhere was closed. He rushed me to Hillcrest. I was seen immediately by Dr. Dexter who knew immediately that I had a monster in my eye. It took a good three weeks or longer of visits with Dr. Turley and Dr. Kling. We used antibiotics, steroids, and ointment. It was a very grueling experience but they made me as comfortable as possible. I am grateful that my husband found them for me. It was a miserable experience but everyone at the office made it easier for me. Ivy especially! She was so sweet! I will only be visiting this ophthalmologists office for my eye care needs! THANK YOU!!!

I was contacted after this review by Dr. Kling. What a classy guy! He listened to me, was not defensive, and shared his thoughts. Afterward, he asked if there was anything he could do to make me feel better. The fact that he reached out on a personal basis and took the time to listen meant a lot to me. I will never go any place else but Invision. Maybe Diane was just having bad day (s). Small potatoes in the big picture. Thank you, Dr. Kling.

I wanted to do a quick update regarding my the care my wife received here… FIRST RATE all the way. Each time we went in (we went in for 9 visits), they treated her like she was family. Each employee there remembers each client, their names and conditions without missing a stride… rare these days! She received very good care and her eye is 100%. Thanks again Dr. Kling, Dr. Turley and the entire staff.

We are the proud new parents of a son and I was recently made aware of the InfantSee program by my dad. At seven months old, we just made a visit to Dr. Turley. The staff was welcoming and efficient and engaged my son, bringing giggles.
I highly recommend Invision Eye Care for all your optometric needs.

Okay, but not the best place that I’ve had my eyes checked.
I had an appointment here soon after moving to San Diego. Now, I have EXACTLY the same vision insurance in San Diego that I did in Las Vegas (it’s a national insurance plan and it’s the same employer). But here, the same eyeball imaging picture scan thing that I had done in Las Vegas for $ 20 was $ 45. How could it be $ 25 more at Invision when I have exactly the same insurance and it was exactly the same insurance? They couldn’t answer that question.
The actual eye exam was good. The optometrist was nice.
Finally, I ordered prescription sunglasses. The selection was adequate but not extensive. Same thing for glasses, which my husband ordered. One thing that bugs me was that I repeatedly asked for darker tinting on the lenses, even if I had to pay extra out of pocket. The tint ended up being a medium gray. While I love my sunglasses, I wish that the lens tint was darker /​looked a little less like progressive lenses.

Invision participates in the infantsee program, which provides free complete optometric exams for infants. My 11 ½ month-​old-​daughter, Nicole, was seen by Dr. Carrie TURLEY for her infantsee exam at Invisions. Dr. TURLEY was wonderful with my daughter.
It seems really difficult to examine a squirming, moving baby’s eyes when they’re crying and don’t want to be messed with. I felt like Dr. TURLEY did a great job. She was really nice to Nicole and clearly had lots of experience with kids. I felt like her examination was thorough as it’s possible to be under the circumstances (i.e., with an infant patient) and I was very happy with the results and the infantsee program in general.
Infantsee is a great opportunity for people who don’t have vision insurance for their baby and have a possible concern or even just anyone who wants to take advantage of the chance to have their baby’s vision completely checked out for free. The program was recommended to me by an Early Start program therapist who had previously evaluated Nicole for a separate issue, and I couldn’t recommend it more to others.
If you do decide to try this for your baby, make an appointment with Dr. TURLEY. She was great and if I had it to do over again, I’d definitely choose her. She didn’t use the occasion as an opportunity to offer Nicole anything unneeded nor to recruit me as a patient. She seemed very professional and explained everything to me, including a post-​exam summary. She also worked with my daughter, who hates doctors and cries as soon as she even realizes she’s at a doctor’s office of any kind, making sure she felt as comfortable as was possible and never getting exasperated.
