Business Owner

Wayne was raised in Utah as the most independent of six children. He left Utah at age 20 and spent the next 19 years in Texas working in and managing photo supply business. With conventional photography on the decline, Wayne acted on a seed that was planted during a high school band trip to San Diego and relocated to America’s Finest City.

Anxious to work for himself, Wayne looked to his his interests in home design customer service and created Harmony Blinds. Wayne’s brother Brian joined the business shortly after the start-​up and uses his mechanical skills to insure expert installations.

Every single part of the process was easy. They came out (on time), quick quote, variety of styles to choose from, then the order. My motorized blinds came in fast, the installation was fast and the tech was very nice. What a great company to work with. Highly impressed!

Years ago I had most of the house done with plantation shutters from another vendor. I have long forgotten who did the work, but i was marginally pleased and those shutters have begun to peel and crack. This time I chose Harmony Blinds and Shutters based on the 80-​odd Unilocal reviews. I was not disappointed; the estimate was at the upper end of my range but the shutters are first-​rate in quality and workmanship. Installation (done the DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS!) was quick, professional, and not disruptive at all. Many thanks for an excellent experience.

My customer service and product expectations are very high. Harmony Blinds and Shutters far exceeded those expectations from the moment I started the process. I can’t speak highly enough of the staff and customer service. I was extremely pleased with the estimate and purchased shutters for my home. Unfortunately I had a death in the family and had to reschedule a couple of times due to travel needs. They were very understanding and supportive of my needs throughout. I just had them installed this morning and cannot say enough good things about this company. I would give them even more stars if possible. Please support this local company. You will not be disappointed!

We‘d gotten our blinds almost a year ago. They are very good high quality, for very reasonable price (and we have heard few outrageous ones). We were very happy with Eldann, our Sales Person, but I am writing this review mainly because of a Customer Service this company offers. One of the blinds‘ winding system broke down, and company responded with no hesitation. From service man coming to our house within reasonable date frame, all the way to ordering brand new blind to replace the broken one and to the new installation, everything went smooth. I have nothing than 5 stars for this company, and I will go back to them when changing drapes for blinds on our last two windows. Thank you very much!

Thanks to other Unilocalers experience, my mom called this fine firm to give the first of what we thought we’d need of at least three quotes to replace her condo window blinds.
Wayne (Owner) personally came out on a Saturday with a great selection of blind types.
He expertly laser-​measured our window dimensions and was able to provide on-​the-​spot quotes in under an hour. He also noted some poor installation techniques in our old blinds and showed how they would correct these if selected.
His quote seemed very reasonable, and he stated that if accepted they could have our new blinds ordered & installed in about 2 – 3 weeks.
Moms was so comfortable w/​him that she accepted on the spot and didn’t feel it necessary to spend time pursuing any additional competitor quotations.
Wayne further surprised us by having everything installed in just under two weeks; and his superior installation methods is such an improvement over what we had.
HIGHLY recommend this company !!

Great job! Great customer service!
During estimate everything was explained and even helped me with suggestions which was very helpful. Harmony returned calls promptly and installation went well and was on time.
Even made sure to be very cautious with hardware during installation as not to damage
my recently new surfaced hardwood floors. Will use them again and highly recommend them to anyone needing window coverings.

Wayne helped me figure out a beautiful way to block the late afternoon heat from coming through my front door glass (see photo). He does quality work and so does his installer who was so informative along with being neat and efficient. Folks, this is an investment in your home. Don’t waste your time or money on anything that does not have this quality!

Using this company was a great experience from beginning to end. They come to your home with ample product to make a decision and are well versed on their inventory and product performance. Ordering was easy and the installers went above and beyond to do a good job hanging our blinds and being mindful of our home. We did encounter an single ordering issue and an installation issue but they were very quick to respond and make sure we were satisfied on both accounts. All and all a terrific experience. Highly recommend.

I recently had an estimate done for my home. Eldann arrived at my home right at the time that we had scheduled which I appreciated very much. His years of experienced really shown through as he was explaining the durability of the products and was confident in his recommendations. I could not say one negative thing about my experience with Eldann and Harmony blinds.

I searched through Unilocal and found Harmony Blinds & Shutters. Wayne came and did our consultation with us. He had a lot of patience as we asked a tom of questions about the look, design and feel of blinds versus shutters. He had many samples with him and brought them out to help us along the process. I was really touched by the hand written note from Wayne we received after placing our order. The installation, a couple weeks later, was seamless and I love my new window coverings!

We had Eldann come out and give us an estimate for some blinds and shutters for 7 windows. I liked him at first but he then changed his attitude once we mentioned that we were taking other bids as well and wanted his best price. It’s hard to explain but he had a superiority complex about him, like he was doing us a favor by showing up. Maybe I’m overly sensitive but I was not comfortable with him. Worst yet, his estimate was way high, much higher than any other estimate we obtained. Maybe others love Harmony but we were not impressed and will not use them for anything.

Found Harmony through Unilocal when looking for window coverings for 4 large tall windows in our living room. I had received quotes from other vendors, but their offerings for covering the windows were not very convincing.
Wayne came out after requesting the quote online and he had a great range of colors, textures and types of blinds that made it very easy to find the one that worked.
Two weeks after ordering the blinds, they were installed quickly and professionally and they look fantastic. They are also going to help keep the heat out now that the warmer months are coming up, since the glass on these windows is 60 years old and not very efficient.
Definitely recommend you give these guys a call for your blind and shutter needs.

We bought the window coverings for all of our house from Harmony back 7 – 8 years ago (Wayne did the consultation and measuring and was excellent and his brother did the install).
Since then we have had service calls once or twice which have been great. The most recent service call last month was just awesome and worthy of an excellent review.
A plastic part broke on a large panel for our sliding glass doors and thus could no longer open/​close them via as normal. Contacted Harmony, explained the issue and sent them a pic of the broken part.
They checked and no longer manufactured, but wait … they talked to the manufacturer who had made these and they found a returned panel and recovered the plastic part and got it to Harmony. Who then came out and installed it (took 2 service techs) and lubed the railing mechanism while here and did it all of the base $ 45 service call fee!
I don’t know about you but I have had many service calls over the years and to have Harmony spend that kind of time to obtain a discontinued part, keep me informed of status and then come out and install it (which wasn’t an easy task, had to disassemble the track system that the panels hang from) and also service the track system for $ 45, now that is excellent customer service.
These guys will always get our business and we will refer anyone else who needs window coverings to them as well.
