I really like this place! The only issue I have is that as a new spray tan dedicatee, I didn’t really know about correctly applying the lotion prior to the spray. My feet looked terrible! But the rest of me looked great! And spray tanning can be a little embarrassing because it’s done in the buff… these girls are very professional. They don’t laugh at you. They are wonderful!

I’m super glad I finally found a place to go to regularly for spray tans! I usually get really picky when it comes this since a lot of places leave me bright orange or streaky. Amy did my spray tan, and she was super friendly and made me feel extremely comfortable. She did a great job and I definitely recommend you go to her!

I was super nervous about getting a spray tan before I found this place. I always thought that if I went too dark I would turn into an Oompa Loompa but this place changed my mind. so glad I came here. shout out to my girl Amy! she’s absolutely amazing and made this process as easy as possible! if any of you are looking for someone to tan you, I highly recommend Amy! I know I plan on going back to her! :)

Got my first spray tan not done by a machine and it was great! Jackie did it and she was very professional and nice and the tan came out great! Would definitely recommend her to friends!

I came here to get a spray tan before a wedding. I wasn’t nervous at all because I had read such amazing reviews about this place. The space was cute and the girl working was very nice and seemed knowledgeable. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease, and the actual tan went very well. As the hours went on and the tan began to set — I noticed streaky areas all over my body; my arms and back were the worst. Big streaks on the upper part of my arms, completely missing the underneath of one arm, and my back and neck were very splotchy. I did everything I was supposed to (exfoliate before, waited 12 hours to shower, worse loose clothing, etc). It was embarrassing to show up to the wedding looking like that, and I felt it was a waste of money. I wish I had put self tanner on instead because, while it wouldn’t be perfect, it would’ve been better than what I got.

The process was quick, easy and comfortable!
Solution did not smell funny. And my tan lasted a long time!

It was my first time at Glow Girl and I had such a great experience. I LOVED the tan and the service. Melissa made me feel very comfortable! I am so glad that I went. I just might need to make this a regular thing. :)

They are the best. A little more expensive that some places, but still reasonable and, in my experience, you get what you pay for. I found them before a vacation to Hawaii and I am naturally about as white as you can get and still have a pulse! My husband and children have beautiful mediterranean olive skin and I get abused mercilessly («the undead», etc). I was nervous about trying this, as I remember well when self-​tanning meant weird orange streaks! After reading that brides trust them for their wedding day (!), I decided to give it a shot. They did a wonderful job of giving me a glow that did not look ridiculous and I did not have to ruin my 40+ year old skin any more than I already have with additional UV rays.
A couple times, I used groupons and other deals for other places and they never got it quite right. I go here now if we have a special occasion/​event, before going to Palm Springs, pool parties or on vacation. And, they do run deals from time to time, even better! Oh, and the ladies who work there are very nice. Professional and helpful and never snicker at my Mommy muffin top when I strip down to my skivvies. :)

Thank God for Glow Girl! I have been struggling with the devil on one shoulder and angel on the other «go to the tanning salon, don’t go to the tanning salon» but I REALLY like being tan! They have solved my problems :) Perfect sunless tanning and great service in one!!!
I seriously love them. My husband requests I go tanning now, it’s the only thing he «gets» that I spend money on, not clothes, or hair, or makeup, the only thing he cares about is tanning. These gals do an amazing job, looks very natural and lasts at least a week (if you take care of your tan properly).

I’m the first one to give a 4, oh no! But my experience was actually great, the only reason I gave GlowGirl a 4 is because their airbrush stream is thick and wouldn’t be able to give spot treatment such as covering up bikini tan lines. Luckily I didn’t need to cover anything up, I just wanted a great tan, and that’s what I got!
I was very careful to shower & exfoliate right before the appointment (making sure to be dry from hair to toe beforehand though). I forgot the girl’s name who did my spray tan (sorry), but she was great and worked part time with glow girl. I went fully nude which she was very comfortable with, so that was nice. I told her I was going to Vegas and so she did my legs a little darker because I was going to be wearing short skirts. She had me look in the mirror and make sure I was satisfied before I left. I felt I needed a little more in the mid –section, so she made that darker and made sure to blend it with the rest of my body. She suggested that I wear very loose clothing and not to even put my purse strap over my body. The most important rule is to NOT GET WET at all after the spray tan until the next day (or at least after many hours). I was good and stayed dry and showered the next morning to find myself with an amazing and perfect tan! Great job glow girl :)
I paid $ 40 plus tip for the spray tan. I think that’s a little steep. You can get a Mystic Tan for $ 20 or less at most tanning spots. So many people say that the airbrush tan looks more natural than a mystic, but honestly I couldn’t tell the difference. The airbrush is sort of customizable because they can make your legs and middle darker if your arms are already dark (like me), but I’m not sure if that’s worth the extra $ 20. It’s up to you, but what I do recommend is this establishment. They were great :)
Ooo, one more important tip! I went to their location in La Jolla and it was hard to find because there is no place actually called «Glow Girl». It is inside this other large salon/​spa. So if you get to the address on the website, go into the large salon/​spa at that address.

Last night was my first professional airbrush tan and I will never get a Mystic tan again!
Besides the AMAZING customer service provided by Miss Melissa, my «glow» is exactly what I needed for our engagement photos tomorrow!
Melissa is the type of person that you wish was your BFF, so friendly, so casual and so professional!
Can’t wait to see her in a month for my wedding «glow»!

I’ve never had a spray tan before, but didn’t want to look pasty for my wedding. I considered a cancer box (tanning salon) but didn’t want to die. So I called Glow Girl to talk to Melissa about my fears (turning orange) and hopes (look sun-​kissed). She told me all about the appointment and assured me that I would not look orange and it wouldn’t rub off on my dress. My wedding was on a Saturday so I came in on Thursday. I had my maid of honor go first in case it was a disaster. We both turned out amazing. I wasn’t orange, did not have streaks and really looked like I had a «healthy glow.» I’m now addicted. I’ll get sprayed every time I have a major event. I loved it!
As I always say, the only safe tan is a fake tan!

I’m a first time spray tanner and my first experience at Glow Girl was great!
I did a In-​salon tan. The location was easy to find and the room where you do the tanning was small, intimate, private and comfortable!
Melissa the owner was great! She was very professional, friendly, and made me feel at ease. She was also very informative and answered all of my questions being a first time spray tanner.
I very much enjoyed by experience at Glow Girl and I would highly recommend it to everyone! I even had fun doing all the funny tanning poses! My tan looks amazing; bronzed and glowing! I’ll definately go back!

I just had my first experience with airbrush tanning and it was great! I’ve had spray tans in a booth at a tanning salon before, but I’d been left with streaks, drips, or uneven spots.
I went to Glow Girl to try out the airbrush tanning and Stina who did my tan was very friendly and great at explaining how everything worked. My tan looks even and natural, no streaks or orange hue here!
I would absolutely recommend Glow Girl to my friends or anyone looking to get a healthy tan!

I had a great salon experience, my first experience with spray tanning.
I was suprised by the quality of the product. Nothing like the drugstore stuff I tried in the past. My tan turned out great — just the way I wanted — not to dark, and very even. And the color was the perfect «glo».
Stina Marie was exact in her application and taught me about the product and what I could expect. All in all, a great experience and I feel confident recommending their services to my friends.

I had my first spray tan ever with Glow Girl. I was always skeptical about spray tanning, seeing the bright orange girls, or the stains it can leave on your clothes. But I had an awesome experience with glowgirl! My tan was a perfect bronze! It lasted all week, didn’t get on my clothes, and even smelled really good!
Stina the girl who tanned me was really sweet and did an awesome job! I felt very comfortable. I was really surprised when I read the bad review below, because my tan was totally even!
