I ordered my wedding dress one month before my wedding day in June 2013!
I was pretty sure that it’s impossible to get the dress that I want done for a month, but she did it and it was amazing!
I found Elena online.
When I went to here store in La Jolla I felt in love with awesome quality fabrics that she uses and her very friendly personality .
She offered me a very beautiful designed dress that could feet my budget. After few fittings my dress was done and it was a dress of my dream!

I am so lucky that I found Elena on Unilocal!I am so happy with how my dress turned out. We had a small destination beach wedding in San Diego, so I flew into town to find a dress. I wanted something different, I had «blush» color in mind. After looking at about 7 places, I found the first review mentioning light pink color. Elena was my last appointment of the day and I was tired and frustrated from searching. I tried on one dress that was beautiful but not exactly what I wanted, and then she pulled out the floral material. It is blush in color and absolutely beautiful. At that second I knew I wanted that material. She worked carefully to make sure my dress was perfect. Elena was friendly, hard working, and you can just tell she cares so much about her dresses. They are all spectacular. You can really see the difference in quality. I know she spent a long time to perfect my dress and I am so grateful. I would 100% suggest her to anyone. She was able to take the style & color I wanted and make a beautiful gown! Thank you Elena~

AMAZING EXPERIENCE. Part 1 of 2: I have driven by Valena’s store for a couple years, and have always admired her beautiful and unique dresses, but only finally have I had a reason to stop in. I was walking by to get the number off her door, and she fortuitously walked out at that moment. She opened the door, listened to my love story with earnest, and invited me in right then to try on a few dresses. The first dress I tried on was the dress I chose for my wedding (in June, hence the part 1 of 2). I tried on several more, and she patiently helped me with them all, and encouraged me to try on more. More than that, Valena is a wonderful, beautiful and kind woman. She made me feel instantly comfortable, and even special. I felt like I was talking to a friend, and the dress itself is incredible. The fabric is so soft and comfortable, and her designs are impeccable. I had my mom and friends come for the viewing, and they loved every dress I tried on. She is an artist, and was very kind, even though I showed up in torn-​up jeans and a sweatshirt, and told her that I was on a budget. She made me feel like a princess — probably because she is one herself. I told her I would write a review, and she objected, saying that I didn’t even have my dress yet. So, I am writing the first installment. I will let you know after my wedding how much more I loved the dress, Valena, and my experience with her.

VaLena Valentina Couture is a wonderful boutique in Bird Rock La Jolla! If your looking for a wedding gown I would highly recommend making an appointment with Elena who is the designer! All of her wedding gowns are made to perfection and she uses the best silk fabrics. I absolutely LOVED my wedding down and it was a big hit on my wedding day. Thank you so much Elena!

I wish I were getting married again (to my husband, of course!) so I could wear one of Elena’s beautiful gowns.
I bought my dress at another boutique in San Diego, and through this boutique I met Elena. Each time I met with Elena to fit my dress was such a special day. She is meticulous, and her detailed work with lace is incredible. She made me a keyhole to wear with my dress for the ceremony. It was exquisite.
Elena is also a dress maker herself. I wish I had known before I found my dress. I have admired several of her dresses, and had I not found my dress before I met her, I am sure I would’ve worn one of her dresses.
I had always heard that wedding dresses are heavy and will be uncomfortable as the night goes long. Elena explained that that’s a sign of an ill-​fitting dress. I took off my Jimmy Choos early in the night, but I wanted to sleep in my dress because it fit perfectly – and showed off my body!
I can’t praise Elena enough. I still talk to her – I hope you have the pleasure of meeting her and for easing with her. I promise you will be happy!

I considered myself pretty lucky to found Elena and my dream dress!
I’m from Brazil and I was having a hard time while I was looking for gowns, all what I wanted was a good elegant, great quality and beautiful wedding dress. Simple without too much information on it.
I worked with one the best Brazilian fashion designer and learned a lot of what quality and perfection really is and tried those made in China dresses was getting me super disappointed.
I drive by Elena’s boutique every day and always thought that the dresses were amazing on the window but probably out of my price range.
My mother in law came to help me with the planning and convinced me to stop by and I’m so thankful for that!
As soon I walked in I was already in love for Elena sweet and kindness personality.
I showed to her my idea and she already knew it that she had the right dress for me.
All my family and bridesmaid were far away so I went sometimes by myself for the fittings and she always helped me so much and made me feel so comfortable and at home.
She is a highly standard designer and great in what she does!
And the way that she put so much love and dedication on her handmade work the final product is a unique gown with a quality hard to find around.
Best of all her dresses are affordable, I went to five other boutiques in San Diego and didn’t find the same quality of work that I found with her.
I felt amazing on my wedding day and was extremely happy with my dress and the head piece that she made it.
That’s the definitely the right place to go and for sure it was meant to be for me!

Amazing. Elana made my wedding magical. I found Bridal by VaLena Valentina one day while driving through Bird Rock on my way to work, before I was even engaged. I noticed a dress in the window and stopped in for a business card knowing that that was the kind of small, personable atmosphere that I would be comfortable once it was time to pick my dress.
6 months later I was engaged and set on using my mother’s antique, french lace wedding dress, altered to a modern taste. I called and made an appointment for a quote and to try on other dresser for perspective and just to say that I did.
I brought a bridesmaid, my mom and my mother in law. I tied on all the dresses in the store, for fun. With one of them on, I had a moment in the dressing room that changes my whole wedding plan. I took a look at myself in the mirror in a blush colored, tulle skirted, lace bodice, strapless gown and realized that that dress had to me mine, and I had to figure out how to tell my mother that I was not going to wear hers.
I walked out of the fitting room and everyone, including my mom, knew that this was my dress… the whole plan changes. Elana later made not only made my dress, her design, to my liking with straps and alterations, from scratch, but also made my veil, garter, and a hair clip out of the lace from my mom’s french lace veil.
Everything was on time, professional, personable and I could have sworn I was her only client through out the 6 months it took… she was so detail oriented and I felt like the focus of all her efforts.
There was a minor set back with my tulle coming in from France, which I freaked out about as an A type bride, but everything was more then under control. I would recommend this boutique to anyone looking for something special, beautiful and truely to thier individual taste. The inventory are all Elana originals that are customizable to any brides’ personal vision. They span from fitted to flowing from lacy to sexy, there is something for everyone without being an overwhelmed bride!
