Crew, ANYTHING from Anthropologie, James Perse, Plenty, Splendid, Lucky, Hollister, Abercrombie (for the little girls), Abercrombie & Fitch, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Eileen Fisher, etc. We also have a huge selection of Vintage purses, clothing, lingerie, and jewlery. We also carry unique handmade pieces from all over! Oh and we cant forget the little girls. clothing and shoes for girls, toodlers, and baby girls too. We buy items by appointment.

History

Established in 2004.

The resale business has been a part of my life for 19 years. The first shop was The Purple Moon in Pacific Beach… We then opened Girls from the Park in Ocean Beach…

Girls from the Park means «girls from the trailer park».My sister and I spent part of our life living in a Lakeside trailer park in the mid 70’s…Really.

I have been in the resale business for 19 years… I have had five different locations starting in Pacific Beach and ending up in Point Loma. I started my first shop (with my sister) when my oldest daughter, Mariah, was two years old. (She use to take naps on the floor behind the counter)…I had two more kids and they all were pretty much raised in the resale business. literally! It was alot of hard work in the beginning, but it was well worth it. I turned my passion into a career. I love coming to work everyday. I love the Ocean Beach/​Point Loma community. My shop is here, I live here, my commute to work is two minutes, and my kids go and have graduated from our neighborhood schools, I have sponsored girls softball since I opened and I support any school fundraiser that asks. I am so thankful for my customers for supporting my small business. Maybe that is why we get voted best Resale Shop every year in the Beacon? :)

When is this shop actually open??? I must have tried at least 10 times… no luck at all… Very disappointing. I guess I’ll bring my money somewhere where they care about their customers…

A few weeks ago, mid-​afternoon on a Friday, I was in Point Loma at an appointment. I have been reading great reviews and hearing great things about Girls From the Park and since I was in the area, was giddy to finally check it out. Unfortunately the lights were on but nobody was there. I waited awhile outside, peeking in the tantalizing windows, hoping perhaps whoever was minding the store would be back soon. I double checked the store hours on Unilocal,Google and YP in case I misunderstood it was open Friday afternoons. Darn it! It was supposed to be! Alas, shopping was not in my cards that day. I left after about thirty minutes of waiting.
Fast forward to today, another Friday, 2:45pm. Since I live about 25 minutes from the store I double – triple – checked they were scheduled to be opened. My sole purpose in driving to Point Loma was to finally see the store from the INSIDE! When I got there I saw the lights were on… yes!
But the door was locked… oh no! As in no one was home. Again I peered into the windows for awhile, hoping, hoping, hoping whoever worked there would unlock that door so I could step into Shopping Nirvana.
I’ve gone from a frustrated potential shopper to an irritated shopper. The saying that comes to mind is, «Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.»
If I decide to try a third time to shop at Girls From the Park I’ll be sure to call first. Hopefully someone will answer the phone :)

I stopped in unexpected but very happy leaving. The owner was very nice and personable. She offered many alternatives for items I was selling so that I could make higher profit rater than just looking out for herself. All the items in there are so cute as true vintage items too! Super cute

Driving around in the neighborhood I came around this boutique and fell in love! They had so much varieties of clothes for way cheaper than the actual stores sell them for. The shop was really cute and there was pink and vintage stuff everywhere. So many different styles of clothing that I had to bring my mom back in to shop here!

So I purchased 7 items from this store and spent a little over $ 200.00
Pros:
~Very convenient location for me
~They do have many cute items, a lot to choose from!
~they had a lot of size 6 clothing which is perfect
~the pants fit me great, which is nice since everything at the mall is skin tight now-​a-​days and doesn’t fit well on me
~good old school music &not crowded, which I like!
Cons:
~as pricey as the mall for some items
~they need to get more vintage!
~I don’t think they accept lower offers
So, overall it’s a nice experience to shop here but honestly I would rather be able to get more items if I’m going to spend that much again at a resale boutique, so I guess when I return I’ll just be purchasing one thing at a time.

I just stopped into this unique little spot a few weeks ago — I am from the business of Fashion and support all such cute, neighborhood places. The fashion labels & prices I rifled thru while shopping were unbelievably reasonable! (Don’t know ‘exactly’ what inflated prices a prior Review was referring to???) I was floored to discover for example, a ‘Dana Buchman’ top for 20-​something — unbelievable for those who know the high end Dana Buchman brand. Many (other) Designer labels were on hand seen @ popular retailers like Nordstroms & others, not a penny over 25.00. Being a ‘busty’ Size 10 however, there was a definite issue w/​predominately smaller cuts — especially in the Tops section. Even their Larges, were scaled much smaller than an average ‘L’. I would bring that problem to the Owner’s attention unless, she is specifically targeting a certain size-​class of customers. However, there were countless super-​cute handbags and great Vintage accessories, like old Jewelry Boxes from the 50’s to look at. And also, the garments themselves were ALL very unique and pieces you just don’t see everywhere — I would’ve purchased (1) very cool Jkt. in a snap, but it was again, a very small ‘Large’ in cut. Bravo to the Owner for bringing her Entrepeneurship ‘right around the corner’ in cozy Point Loma Village!

Disappointing experience. Stopped by one day to see about dropping off clothes. I had three bags. The owner tells me she only purchases clothes and does not do consignment. Said she works by appointment only and that an appointment was necessary. Now keep in mind that the «appointment» is simply to DROP off clothes… they do not count, sort, or check anything when you drop it off. You just get a ticket saying your dropped something off. It literally takes 2 minutes. When I stopped in there was not a soul in the store except the owner at the counter. Ok, so I’ll make an appointment with her. She ways to stop by on Saturday anytime from 1 – 5 she will be there. Hmmm… I make another trip there on Saturday and she’s not there. A young girl at the counter says I just have to drop off the bags. Ok, why couldn’t I have done that during the first trip? I’ll get a return call on Monday saying what they might be interested in purchasing. No call Monday. I call Tuesday and leave a message. I get a return call on Wednesday that they don’t want to purchase any of my items. Well, the items in her store look shoddy and the items I dropped off were from Bebe, Banana Republic, etc. and several items still had tags on them and most all was in perfect condition. She purchases items for sale and does not do consignment. That means they need cash to purchase. This was a waste of my time. I will go to a real consignment store. I think it must be a slow season for her so she is not buying anything at this time and that is fine, but let us know instead of making me do three trips there. It could have been handled in one trip.

There are some very cool vintage items to be found which is why I’m giving them one star. I went in there to sell some items and they said I needed an appt so I was given one for 3 weeks out. I arrived for my appt with only one brown shopping bag of items. When I arrived I looked around and waited for quite awhile thinking that the owner was going to look through my few items. She never did so I let her know I was going to run a few errands and would be back. I came back a couple hours later and the owner was gone. She had not gone through my items yet. They told me the owner would call when she did. Three days later I received a call. I went there the next day during business hours and they were closed. So the next time I called the day before to make sure that the store would be opened the following day during their business hours. The employee told me the owner would be there at 11 to open the following day. I got there at 11:15 and waited for a half hour no one opened the store at all that day. I called and left a message. The next day the owner called back. At this point I had been to the store 4 times. When I finally got my $ 17 I had used far more then that in gas money driving over there. You get next to nothing for your stuff which I get since its used but they sell it for a huge mark up. I got $ 4 for items they were selling for $ 35/​$ 40.

So today while sitting at far too long of a stop light I started checking out my surroundings and spotted this resale shop! My plan was originally to go home for the afternoon and take a nap but I caught a little thrifty bug that coaxed me to pull over and take a look around. They had some racks outside that I thumbed through finding one or two things here and there and upon entering I was greeted by many more racks of clothes. For the most part the inside is very color coordinated making shopping for colors that may be lacking in the spectrum of your closet fairly easy. I was impressed with the selection of all types of women’s clothing. Everything from the California girl booty shorts to Ann Taylor business suits all in excellent condition. Be sure to look above you on the shelves because there are super cool vintage suitcases, makeup cases, etc. for sale! The sizes are very well organized especially in the pants section along the wall making sifting through clothes to be relatively painless, unless of course you’re me who has found 10,000 things to try on!
Dressing rooms are very stuffy and cramped but they serve the purpose that they are.
Some of the prices I saw on some items are somewhere near what you’d pay for them at the malls, but, before that deters you, I think this may have been my greatest, most successful find of my shopping life.
I found a pair of True Religion Brand Jeans in here for $ 30! Yes, I read the tags about 900 times to make sure I wasn’t misreading it! Luckily a trip to the dressing room made them fit on me like Cinderella’s glass slipper! The only thing was the zipper was busted on it and they desperately needed to be hemmed. For that price I was willing to take on a trip to my alterations place!
Upon bringing my sexy jeans and black dressy work appropriate capri’s to the counter I found that the jeans were actually $ 24! YAY! I was so excited! A little disappointed they do not honor military discounts seeing as it is Point Loma area and all, but hey, I’m alright with what I found!
I can not wait to come back here on the days when I’m in the mood to scour over gently used goods.

There are some cute items to be found, but the prices run more like TJ Max or Marshalls. I would pay $ 25 to $ 30 for good used designer denimn, like 7 for all Mankind or Joes, but the prices in here are more like $ 45 to $ 60. Majority of items are size 4 – 6. Old t shirt and tanks from banana republic or Gap run $ 10 to $ 25…not worth it-​you could buy it new for that. I have sold my stuff here many times back when they were over on Chatsworth, but when I attempted to redeem my credit, the gal that owns the shop looked at my tickets and said that they were old, but she said not to worry, as she has all the old tickets at home, because she never throws anything away and promised to call me. I guess she must have thrown my phone number away though, as I am still waiting for that phone call…

One can definitely can find treasures in this store and the prices are incredibly reasonable! It is a resale shop, but difficult to tell by the quality of their items. While perusing the clothes racks, I did not see one damaged item as I have found in similar stores. Cute, eclectic, fashionable, designer clothes, purses, shoes, etc. I look forward to spending more time, and likely money, in this store!
