Dr. Ian was a major reason why I didn’t have significant back problems during pregnancy. He is trained in prenatal adjustments and did an excellent job educating me on how to maintain healthy hips and back as pregnancy progressed. I saw him all the way up to my due date and have continued our appointments since. I highly recommend PL Chiropractic!

I came to John because I was suffering from low back and hip pain. I also sit at a desk 7+ hours a day and always felt stiff. I had never been professionally stretched before, and thought I would give it a try.
John is very professional, knowledgable, and makes you feel comfortable during his sessions. He really knows his stuff and takes his time to truly understand the root of the problem.
I’ve now been seeing him for 6 months and feel so much better! My flexibility has increased and my discomfort has decreased. Walking out after each session, I always feel so much lighter.
I highly recommend John!

John Vosseller is a fantastic stretch therapist. I’ve known John for years and this isn’t just a job; he truly embodies his work through his enthusiasm, his constant search for new techniques and his attention to the specifics of each patient’s needs, pain points and physiology. In each visit with him, he has analyzed my current condition and then modifies sessions to tackle those issues head on. There is no pre-​canned script with John; it’s John doing real time analysis and adjusting accordingly. I highly recommend using his services in conjunction with the fantastic chiropractic services provided!

John Vosseller at Point Loma Chiropractic is an exceptionally talented stretch therapist. I have been a client for a couple of years and I can’t say enough good things about John’s capabilities and integrity.
First of all, Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is a highly underrated type of body work, and goes well beyond basic stretching. John was trained by the Stretch to Win Institute. Finding someone who has this specific training is critical when looking for a stretch therapist. In fact, if you are evaluating different stretch services, don’t waste your time or money on someone who hasn’t been trained by the Stretch to Win Institute. Those who do have this background (and there are only a few in San Diego) tend to be extremely expensive, difficult to schedule with, and generally not as friendly, positive, or laid-​back as John is. Bottom line is that John’s rates are extremely competitive for his level of expertise, and he is genuinely a nice guy.
I know that professional athletes get tremendous benefit from FST, and that seems to be the only arena where FST has truly caught one. I’m not an athlete, but I can personally attest to the benefits for someone like myself who has low back problems and who sits in front of a computer for long periods of time.
The only down side for me is the location, which is in the heart of Point Loma. It’s definitely out of my way, but the benefits outweigh the inconvenience a thousand times over.
Overall, Fascial Stretch Therapy is a fantastic modality and I’ve come to value it even more than a great massage in terms of its longer-​lasting impact on my body. You can’t go wrong with John. He’s an absolute pro and you won’t regret giving his services a try.

I had my surgery scheduled for fusions at C4−5 and C6−7, having already had C5−6 fused in 2000. I had tried everything, from eastern to western treatments/​therapies, to find relief from the constant debilitating pain and the numbness, which was very much like I was experiencing before my first surgery. I was only able to be up about 2 to 3 hours at a time before having to lay down to rest for several hours. After about 3 sessions of Facia Tissue Stretch therapy with John, I consulted my surgeon and we decided to postpone my surgery. I had enough relief to let me believe that this might just let me put surgery off for maybe another year. Shortly after that, I got my smile and sense of humor back, I started traveling again, both by car and plane, and just last month I drove across country from San Diego to Sarasota, Florida. Don’t get me wrong, as soon as I came home — I saw John; but I honestly thought my traveling days were completely over. I still have pain, but it’s limited to the end of the day after I have been out sailing, working, shopping, and doing so many more things that I thought were out of my life forever. I’m out of my house and living life again; seeing friends, laughing, playing and enjoying life. In our next phase, John is working with me as I get ready to find an exercise program that will work for me. I’ve replaced my pain with Facial Tissue Stretching. Oh ya, wear exercise clothes, this is not a lay back and relax kind of therapy.

It’s hard to find a good ART chiropractor, Dr Murphy is fantastic! She assesses your needs quickly and efficiently; and doesn’t over work your body. The office is friendly and they send out reminder texts. Easy parking. Highly recommend!

I sprained my ankle a few weeks ago and made the right decision to visit PLC for it rather than my general practitioner. Boy was that a great decision! They were hands-​on and rehabilitated my ankle so quickly, it was impressive. I work on my feet and I was able to get back to work sooner than I expected. I recommend this place for injury recovery.

First time was ca ¹⁰⁄₂₀ 14 February 2015 race expo. It really helped me out to stretch specific muscles. Really relaxing environment, great staff. I was seen my Jeff and good package deal for 10 sessions. For me running with a disability this helps me even more. Any injuries or pain they are happy to be address and help yo feel better. It’s location less than a mile from work so I can go right after work

After having tried several chiropractors in San Diego, I am extremely happy to have finally found someone I feel confident with. What sets Dr. Ahearn and the staff at Point Loma chiropractic apart for me is I feel for the first time like someone is working with me on an actual, comprehensive plan for my treatment, rather than «crack, crack, See you Thursday.» In addition to the adjustments, they also do a good deal of deep tissue and muscle work as well, which has been immensely helpful in reducing my overall pain as well as improving my structure.
Just as valuable is the support staff, particularly Amanda at the front desk. She has been more helpful than I could possibly ask for in navigating my insurance options and working with me to establish an affordable course of treatment. I can’t remember ever working with anyone in the medical field that combined as much technical acumen with an actual sense of caring as Dr. Ahearn and his staff. I can not recommend them highly enough.

I’ve suffered with back pain for YEARS and seen pretty much every specialty you can imagine: orthopedic docs, chiropractors, physical therapists, CHEK practitioners, etc. not to mention all of the endless deep-​tissue massages.
A few sessions with Dr. Murphy and I am still in shock at the improvement. I still have a little ways to go, but the improvement in my pain, and my sleep, is incredible.
I cannot say enough good things. If you are suffering from chronic pain, you can’t go wrong here.

Dr. Murphy seemed knowledgable wasn’t very impressed with the overall adjustment. She just crack my back and neck. Seen better chiropractor offices.

I have had all great experiences at my visits with Dr. Murphy and the front desk staff. Everyone is friendly and very helpful. I was experiencing horrible neck and shoulder pain and was able to be seen the day I called. Since then, my neck and shoulder pain has subsided and I am very pleased with the care and treatment I received. I appreciate the advice and guidance as far as home care too. I can happily say I won’t be needing to go elsewhere for pain management and adjustments!

I don’t think I could say enough good things about this place. Dr. Matt is the best chiropractor I have ever been too.
I started coming here about 6 months ago through a recommendation from one of my friends to help with my Achilles. I strained it last February from running. I had gone to a doctor prior to Dr. Matt who basically just told me to stay off of it and if it’s not better in 2 months to come back so he could do an MRI. When I came here though Dr. Matt was so helpful. He started doing active release therapy on it and told me different exercises to start doing as well as how to care for it before and after I work out.
I am very active and working out and staying healthy is a huge priority for me, so when I got injured it was a huge blow. I couldn’t run for 6 months until I came here. Dr. Matt had me running again within weeks of coming to him.
If you have any aches or pains and are just not sure where to turn, I would highly recommend you come here. I have already recommended him to so many of my friends and coworkers and everyone is so thankful they found him.

I always feel amazing after my appointment. Dr. Matt and the staff are great! They will even fit you in if you really need an adjustment.
Unlike other places I have been, Matt gives you tools to help you get better, rather than just saying you’ll be coming for life. I can come in when I need to and if I am doing why I’m told, I feel better.

I’ve been suffering with the pain at the bottom of my feet on and off for over a year now. But, after my last half marathon, it’s has gotten definitely worse. Fed-​up, I looked up sports therapy, on Unilocal,and found Dr. Matt Stanicki.
Dr. Stanicki is a friendly, energetic, no-​nonsense kinda guy. Very practical when it comes to sports injury treatments. I went to see him about my plantar fascitis caused by all the ridiculous running that I’ve been doing. Not only has he been able to give me helpful advice (exercise, post-​run icing suggestions, etc), but he fixed my feet! I no longer wake up and cringe with pain everytime I roll out of bed or get off of my chair to stand up. Freakin’ awesome!
Great experience, great results and an amazing staff! I’ll definitely be visiting PLC, again.
