Geppetto’s

Nice selection and fun store for kids to explore, but sells some junky toys that fall apart almost immediately. Given the overinflated prices, I’d expect some higher standards for quality.

Talk about a toy store that reminds you of your childhood and also makes your kids feel like they are at home. Wooden toys, toys that you played with as a kid and toys of today. All four of my kids had a blast. Affordable as well!

This was the last stop before going home. My daughter wanted to look at the toys. This is such a cool store but they did have a table that was 50% off the original price. Cool!
I honestly think this store is a little pricey for me. They have games, Legos and so much more. They also had books, activity sets and plenty more.
The guy who was working there asked us if we had any questions. I told him we were just looking. Great customer service here. My daughter played with the train set and other stuff in the store. Very cool. I had to take a photo of her in the store.
This place is cool for kids and adults. You can find some cool games in here. If we are in the area, we will definitely come back.

We absolutely love this store. Staff here are quite helpful and warm. Especially Julian and Nicole are the best.
We don’t feel the need to go to any other store for toys.

This place is great. I appreciate how they focus on educational toys. Also, having to go to so many birthday parties it’s nice that they gift wrap for free. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. However, I wish their prices were a bit more competitive. I always find the same item cheaper elsewhere. But when I am in a rush, it’s a great place to go and get a present. My kids love it and we always leave the store with at least a few nice goodies.

Yay for Geppetto’s! I realize they are expensive, but I really appreciate the commitment to educational, non-​electronic, toys and games. The staff are friendly and my daughter loves to hang out here after breakfast at Panera’s.
Please don’t scan items with your smart phone to see how much cheaper things are on Amazon if you come here… That is just tacky. Great places like this will disappear and you will not be able to actually see things in person before you buy them if we all stoop to this level.

I have browsed this store many times yet had never had a reason to buy anything until now.
My daughter received a gift card for this store so in we headed to take a look at what we could get with the $ 10 she had received. The answer? Not very much.
There is a vast selection of toys available despite this being a small store and my daughter was loving playing with the ride on toys, stroller and train set that they have in there.
We had a difficulty choosing something for her and ended up settling on some puzzles which was $ 16 something after tax so not a huge amount but still more than I had hopes to spend ie it would have been nice to have a section say where there were items which were $ 10 before or just after tax as I am sure other children receive gift cards for similar amounts.
The toys they have are of good quality and for all different age categories however, some of the prices are higher as I found when looking at the stroller, shopping cart and baby bottles they had. I had got similar items for less money at a big box store. I so understand that with the smaller stores they aren’t able to cut prices so low as they need to make money to cover the outlay somewhere.
The staff are friendly and helpful and I will be returning as they have a fantastic selection of items some of which I have not seen elsewhere.

I love Geppettos. I found lots of toys or crafts to put on my Christmas List this year. It’s great because when I go to… for example, Panera Bread, I look in the store for a quick peek and I could find two things for less than five minutes. H PP!

This is my go-​to store for kids birthday presents. They are helpful, quick, and they wrap the toys. There is a frequent buyer program too, but they don’t seem to manage it very well. They are willing to go through your purchase history and fix it though. I thought they were expensive, but the few items I checked were competitive with Amazon, so not really.

I would always walk passed this place assuming they’re overpriced… just because they’re a specialty store and in the 4s commons center. Had some time to kill with the little one and walked in. So surprised. I had been eyeing the Lego Friends for some time and was super surpized for find it was cheaper here than on Amazon… soooooooooooo glad I didnt order online. Not just because of the price thing. Other benefits are 1) pick it up right away. 2) sweet free gift wrapping. 3) No shipping. So we’ve become a fan. check it out.

They wrap gifts for free, which is essential if you wrap presents like you have no thumbs!
Prices here are my major gripe. Perhaps with a wider price-​range of toys, it would move up in the ranks of my go-​to toy stores.
They have a great collection of craft, science, project theme toys that can be hard to find in other stores.
This store is smaller than others, and therefore carries a smaller stock and variety of toys. Particularly lacking are books and stuffed animals. If you have a choice, you might want to check out larger locations.
I’ve always had great experience with staff members who are friendly and happy to help.

Something that occurs if you spend your life going to as many weddings as you can is that your friends end up having babies. Lots and lots of babies. Needing to attend 2 one-​year-​old birthday parties 3 weeks apart. I happened upon this store on my way to the first one. I am immediately overwhelmed, only because every toy was so cool. Very colorful and such a cute store. This place has a way better selection that Target and Babies R us (which I refuse to go into) and they take time to know that the products they sell are of high quality and some are even from Europe.
The thing that sealed the deal was that they offer complimentary gift wrap! It does not get any better than that. Geppetto’s will be my go to place for lots of birthday parties to come!

I’ve been shopping in Geppetto’s in La Jolla forever now. Since we moved, so did our business! Well, sorta … apparently Geppeto’s has more than seven stores in San Diego area. This is great news for us.
Especially, since this toy store is my «GO TO» place!
They have toys for all ages. The staff is friendly and helpful. They were playing High School Musical when I shopped last time. Made me wanna dance while I shopped! They even wrap the presents for you!
I’ve been known on many occasions to wait to buy birthday presents at the last minute. I know, I know … I rely too heavily on Geppetto’s. GOOD FOR THEM and GOOD FOR ME!
They really make it tooooooo easy to buy gifts!
