History

Established in 2002.

John and Mike started the company in 2002 creating wedding videos for friends and family. Realizing there was a need for a different kind of wedding video company that could organically capture a wedding, Firefly Films was established. Wanting to do more than just point and shoot, Firefly created something that was more than just video. Working with Super-​8 film in film school in Los Angeles and San Francisco, John realized that a wedding video would look gorgeous on this medium. Effectively blending the High Definition and Super-​8 is what has separated Firefly from the rest of the competition. Ryan came aboard in 2006 from a aerial photography background to add a unique perspective to the art of wedding videography. Together the Firefly Team is ready to artistically capture your wedding memories in a modern and nostalgic fashion!
