We are native San Diegans who saw a need in the market place. San Diego Rose Company is florist by definition but we are more than a traditional florist, we are Floral Designers. The bouquets are created by flower designers who have many, many years of experience and have seen this industry grown and change. We have arrangements to fit any budget. The flowers that you order will be hand-​created for your occasion. Not sure how this company is still in business. Their
website references 2 phone numbers. The 858−273−5902 number goes right to v/​m (and doesn’t reference their company name). I’ve left 2 v/m’s today (both over 4 hours ago) and there has been no returned call. The 877−273−2173 number on their website goes to a survey company recording. After I got past the automated question asking if «anyone in my household was over 50 years old» (which I thought was bizarre), the next question asked if «any female in the household between 40 – 65 years old was experiencing hot flashes» (okay, VERY bizarre). I couldn’t make this stuff up if I tried! I then attempted to make an order on their website. Their website would not allow me to select a delivery date. The pop-​up calendar appeared, but it would not allow me to select any date (s) to import despite multiple attempts. Without having a date in that field, the order could not be completed. I tried calling again and got the same recordings on the 2 numbers. I would have more sympathy for the tech issues on their website if they offered a valid phone number to engage w/​a human. NEXT!

I wrote a post to inform the consumers that the San Diego Rose Company no longer services all of the city of San Diego. They now only go roughly around a 10 mile delivery area from their location. I have used them in the past and was satisfied, but my most recent experience was disappointing because they could not make the delivery. Unilocal removed the post because they said it was not a first hand experience, however it WAS IN FACT a first hand experience and this is critical information to the consumer as it has effected consumers after the order has been taken and notification comes on delivery day. The SDRC customer service employee that I spoke with on the phone was a bit abrasive when I let her know of my disappointment and that Id be posting this review on Unilocal. If you are near downtown, they should be able to service you. If outside of 10 miles, double check by phone!

Not worth it.
I ordered flowers for my admin assistant. The pictures online were deceiving, to say the least. I selected an arrangement and opted to add more stems (roses and lillies) for $ 5 more. With the delivery charge, my order came to almost $ 50. The flowers were finally delivered and I was actually embarrassed to drop them off at my assistant’s desk. The arrangement was terribly small, the lillies were wilted, and just looked unpleasant. For the cost, it isn’t worth it, especially when the advertised pictures don’t look much like what you actually receive.

I got roses delivered to my office a couple days after my birthday so that I can enjoy my arrangement for the rest of the week.
Apparently my arrangement was supposed to arrive in the morning and it didn’t arrive until the afternoon.
Ordinary looking arrangement — dozen red roses, baby’s breath and filler. Wasn’t very fragrant. The roses lasted about 4 days, and by the 5th they were wilted.

Very rude staff! She (Stephanie) came to my door at which was NOT the delivery location. She did not care to resolve the problem. Just said that was what the receipt said. I’m 100% positive that I did not check to be delivered to the same address as billing address.

Bad costumer service, rude staff. The website states that if your make an order before 12pm your order will be deliver. In my case I made the order by 11:20am and got an email stating that my order came to late. I called and the rude witch on the other line said that «they had the right to not deliver my order» Wow please do not order from this company.
Update 8÷13÷2012− To the Rose Company owner I was more mad of the witch who answer the phone and has no manners.

Excellent service, no hassle, and great customer service!
I ordered a cookie basket and birthday balloon to be delivered to my boyfriend at his work. I placed the order online on a Wednesday night, and included a note to be included with the gift basket. I also requested for the balloon to be a birthday balloon for a male.
The gift basket was delivered on my requested day (Friday), directly to him around noon, and it was perfect!

I ordered a beautiful bouquet for my Grandma this last Mothers Day and never got around to finishing my review. Here is the thing, of course my Grandma loved the arrangement and said it was beautiful. We don’t live near one another so I had no way of actually verifying what the arrangement looked like. I know what the photo looked like when I placed the order but how does a customer verify what is actually delivered?
I have one suggestion that I guarantee will increase customer satisfaction. Have the delivery driver take a photo of the arrangement right before it gets delivered. Maybe even in front of the recipients home and email the picture to the person who placed the order. This way you have no choice but to stand by your product. If I could find a florist who did something like this, I would be a customer for life…

I would never have been on here to write such a negative review if the woman I spoke to on the phone was not so rude to me.
I ordered a gift basket for my father’s birthday a week before it was to be delivered. The company sent me a confirmation e-​mail saying they would be able to deliver. I did not get notification until 4:30 on the day it was supposed to be delivered that they had cancelled my order because his office was out of their delivery area.
When I called to ask why they had not notified me sooner that they would be unable to deliver it, the woman said that it was my fault for not looking all over the website for where they delivered. Yet, when they accepted my credit card number and sent me confirmation via e-​mail, I assumed my order had been processed.
When I asked why I was not notified until the day of my father’s birthday that the basket would not be delivered, the woman told me to stop blaming them for what was my fault. Then she hung up on me.
I spent the next hour crying, upset, trying to understand how I could be treated so rudely when the company was negligent in letting me know that my order would not be delivered.
DO NOT order online… unreliable. They need to fix their order form

Beautiful flower arrangements and great service! I have purchased many different arrangements from this company, for many different occasions and have been delighted with each arrangement. Everything from white lillies to tropical flowers to tulips to roses… all very beautiful, fresh and long-​lasting. My husband gave me a dozen red roses last week from another company and they started to wilt very quickly and died… a very sweet gesture but I hope he orders from the San Diego Rose Company from now on.

Received their «lilies» arrangement from an out-​of-​town relative. You can see the pic on their page and compare it to mine. Flowers, none yet open, have already browning edges, damaged leaves, bow just draped over one of them. (turns out she paid $ 54, delivered). We immediately called the company and, like at least one other Unilocaler, were told that a manager would call us back about the problems the next day. And, like another Unilocaler, no call. Check out their filtered reports, too. Not sure how/​why so many bad reviews are getting filtered out, but the reviews are available if you look for them. Very disappointing product, very disappointing service.

My mother called this store to order a beautiful flower arrangement for my 30th birthday. When i received the orchids, it was not worth the money. for 100 $, the orchids were mixed and not uniform. My mother was extremely disappointed. We called the manager Matt within the first 30 min of the delivery (As advised on their website to contact if dissatisfied within 24 hours) and the lady who answered the call said he would call back. We emailed him and called and no response for two days. I tried calling on my friends cell immediately after calling on my phone and the lady picked up. SO basically she was BLOCKING my calls. She rudely responds informing me that matt is gone for the weekend and for me to call back… She replies she is just the messenger and can’t help. So I am stuck with no response and was told to hold the flowers for a week and wait till matt contacts me. It has now been over two weeks and NO CONTACT! It is unfortunate to do business with people who don’t understand professionalism in terms of business and courtesy.
SO if you choose this company and do not like your flowers. please be advised. You may get your phone calls BLOCKED!!!

First time I’ve used them. I have to say thanks to San Diego Rose Company for making my friend and me so happy. She was just gushing over how gorgeous the arrangement is and was thrilled the roses are so fresh. Both of us will certainly be using them again. Called to request a coupon code before placing the order online and was given one to enter.
So glad to report that after 2 weeks, 6 of the 12 blooms were still fresh and beautiful!

I ordered flowers for valentines two weeks in advance with special instructions to have them delivered by noon. Not only did they fail to deliver them on time, they failed to deliver them at all. Remember, these flower companies have 1 day to get it right and if they can’t figure out one of the most important days in their business, I’d think twice about purchasing from San Diego Rose Company.

After seeing the positive reviews and their competitive pricing, I ordered a 24-​rose arrangement for my girlfriend today. She just got it and is totally thrilled about it. She said that the roses are huge and beautiful. She couldn’t be more pleased!
A side note: Prior to placing my online order, I called them around 9am to see if they could deliver to the UTC area by 2pm. They said no problem. Well, they beat that by a couple of hours!
Kudos to SDRC for their great customer service, the quality of their product, and their unbeatable prices!
