This is the third time we went to Video to DVD to transfer items for our family and business. The first time we needed VHS tapes transferred to DVD. The staff is so knowledgeable, the quality so great that we went back home and brought more tapes to transfer. It is so much fun to have those old videos on our computers and on dvd’s. The second time we asked if they could transfer my husband’s old audio reels into a digital format. Wow, it is fantastic to have his old rock and roll band on our personal iTunes playlist. This third time we asked for help transferring old film reels onto dvd’s. These reels are ambered and deteriorating from years of exposure and use, I can’t believe that they were able to clean and transfer the films to dvd. What matters to me the most is the high quality. I also appreciate Ken for taking the time to let us know what we have and what we can do to accomplish our goals and help to make it affordable. Now all our children and their grandparents have copies of those early videos, all of the bandmates have copies of their songs and now we know what was on those old film reels and can enjoy those too. We will be back again!

My mom came to visit me from St. Louis, MO and brought a few family tapes with her to be converted to DVD’s. I had researched this place for her before she came and decided to give them a try. She had two DVD’s (not sure how long they were) and initially I thought the price was a little steep. After about 3 and a half days they were done and the quality of work proved to be worth it. I’ve never had anything converted before but my brother has and he marveled at the clear picture of his snag a tooth grin (one video was his 7th bday party). The video was fantastic from the visual to the sound. Next I’m going to get a few old cassettes converted to CD’s. So excited.

Friendly, professional service with an old-​school work ethic.
Tried fruitlessly to download several years worth of recorded data on
a digital HD movie recorder onto a DVD using my MAC. OK, I’m obviously
a dummy.
Ken at Video DVD took care of the issue at a reasonable price and was
very friendly to talk to. DVDs play perfectly on my MAC and now I can
unclog my movie camera.
The doctor (OK, I’m not a rocket scientist) Notorious MD says that Ken at
Video to DVD can preserve your memories onto a lasting format.

HORRIBLE customer service.
I went in and got quoted for two things to be transferred to DVD. After telling the guy I was satisfied and would pay it in full, he advised me to only pay ¾ of the total, just in case there were any complications with the transfer.
After about a week, I returned to pick them up, only to find out they were going to charge me twice what I was quoted for! I expressed my disbelief, not only because I was misquoted for the service, but also because I actually couldn’t believe the rip off price they wanted to charge me.
After expressing my disbelief and confusion because of the mis-​quote, the attitude from them was purely… that’s the price, get over it.
Given the horrible attitude and not even an explanation as to why there was a mistake or an apology (people make mistakes, I get it, I’m usually understanding as long as I’m not treated poorly), I asked for my down payment back and they were quick to return it.
I will surely never return here. Wal-​Mart completed the same job not only faster and cheaper, but with much better service. I typically like supporting the smaller mom-​and-​pop stores over the chains, but I would never subject myself to ignorant people like them ever again.
AND AS A RESPONSE TO KEN G, I noticed how there is no retort to your rude attitude, unprofessional service, and mis-​quoting of price. (?) YES of course it was your store. Clearly you remember the incident and also must recall having my original Unilocal review removed due to not providing specific enough details of how rude you really were.

Well deserved 5 star review for helping preserve a 31 year old VHS recording of my parents’ wedding onto DVD. Ken was polite, courteous and extremely helpful. He even threw in editing at no extra cost.

I dropped off 24 videos to have transferred to DVD’s. I was given a 5 – 7 day turnaround time, but they finished in 2 days. Both John and Ken were incredibly helpful and so nice to work with. I was given different options for my damaged videos and kept informed throughout the entire process. I am so happy and I definitely recommend their services!

I had a large amount of old 8 mm film transferred to DVDs. The work was great and children and grandchildren are able to enjoy the film, some of which goes back to the early 50s. These folks did a great job, even offering some suggestions for how to sort it all out.
I returned a couple of weeks later with more 8 mm and some super 8 mm cassettes. Again, the work was fine. But when it came time to pay for the services, I was told that if they would take my credit card, they would charge me 12% additional on the balance to cover their costs.
First, I know of no card service company charges 12%. Second, when I paid for the first batch 2 weeks earlier, I used my credit card without a service charge. When they called to say the second batch of work was ready, I was told that cash was the PREFERRED method of payment; no mention of an extra charge otherwise.
Because I only had my credit card when I went to pick-​up the work and I was going out of state the next day to give the DVDs to family, I listened to the gentleman tell me how he would help me out this one time and take the card (AND the extra12% of course). The lobby was full of people and I was in a hurry, so chose not to make a scene about only being told cash was PREFERRED.
Again they were very helpful and the work was fine with a large volume of film, as I spent about $ 2,500 for the service. But sadly, this payment issue soured the experience.

Would be six stars if allowed! Ken went above and beyond — he «finalized» discs, repaired damaged media, he even sourced some outdated software and hardware in order to restore some very special family photos that were on very old Iomega drives that had been corrupted. Always organized and friendly with very fair pricing. You can take those precious tapes, reels, discs etc to Ken and you’ll be glad you did.

I had 33 dv tapes to transfer to DVD. They completed the project very quickly. They explained the process, were fair with pricing, and fixed a few broken tapes. Overall, I had a positive experience and would recommend to anyone who needs videos transferred. My kids are now enjoying watching their lives on the DVD player!

We had a great experience here. We took advantage of the family archive special and had all of our old home movies transferred to DVD. Ken was extremely friendly, organized, and up front about all of his services and prices. He finished ahead of schedule and had all of our DVDs ready in a day! Everything was so neat and organized when we picked up. We will definitely use him again and would recommend this company to anyone… his prices were a FRACTION of what everyone else’s were. We felt like everything was priced fairly, which is rare for this type of service. The DVDs all look great too!

I used to use them at work. I had my own CD/​DVD burner/​printer, but had some problems with the one I was provided. They are great, when I needed them they were there for me, I got the CD/​DVDs back in a timely manor. I feel their prices are reasonable. I hope my former employer continues to use ‘Video to DVD’ for overflow and for work needed in a pinch.

Ken and his step brother are great guys to work with! Our family has been wanting to switch over our old 8 mm cassettes to DVDs and these guys had the best prices in town and the reviews were all positive so i decided to go with them. Best decision ever! My parents were reluctant to let all of the tapes out of their possession at once for fear of some crazy destructive force that would wipe all family memories but after talking to the guys and Video to DVD my mom felt very reassured they would be in good hands and ended up doing all 22 at once. (Thank you for the gas saved guys!!) Their service was outstanding and the finished product was amazing! Now my grandparents want their old 8 mm reels from the 50’s and 60’s converted and i know who i am going to without a question! I’ve had a very positive experience with this company for the last two years. They are the sole supplier of our CDs and DVDs that we use in the scanning business as well as our promotional CDs. I believe the company has been around for many years and its owner-​operators know their stuff.
