My husband and I saw Dr. Morales for a short time and had a poor experience. All of our lab tests were perfect. She was hesitant to test my tubes even though I told her I had possibly had a previous ectopic pregnancy, but she did sign off on the paperwork after my insistence. Also, she is either working with old equipment or she doesn’t know how to do proper follicle counts. She also insisted that I was positive for a certain serious disease, when the paperwork from the lab clearly said that the results «indicated a false positive». She didn’t even read the results paper, and scared the shit out of my husband and I until we saw the disclaimer later. We followed up with a competent doctor who confirmed that false positives aren’t even that uncommon. After that we stopped seeing her. Very sloppy care at this facility.

It’s been almost a year and this review is way over due, first I would like to say thank you to Dr. Shelly and all the amazing staff for allowing me and my wife be proud moms! It was a allot of heartache and being lied to from other fertility specialist (if you want to call it that) prior to meeting with this fertility center. Once we were reffered every thing was smooth sailing, it was an amazing experience. They were able to accommodate our hectic work schedule. Every step was very thorough and I can’t brag enough how smooth it all went. I also want to give a high five to Denise is finance for continuing to being an understanding individual as we all know how pricey this can all be. If your reading this and not sure who to pick for your new adventure don’t hesitate to go with these Dr’s, I say it with all sincerity cause I was once in your shoes and scared not knowing. I now have a beautiful girl who’s pix I posted and waiting a year to go for the next bundle of joy! (she took on the first try.) Good luck and thank you FSMG!!!

I have been going to different fertility specialists in San Diego for the past 4 years. I only wish I was referred to Dr. Morales in the very beginning. I started my journey at San Diego Fertility Center which sadly was a total waste of my time, money and sanity. I went through IVF with them and had a cancelled cycle and 3 failed embryo transfers. When my doctor there had no idea what to do for me and suggested surrogacy I decided it was time to change doctors. Best decision we could have made.
Doctor Morales immediately had ideas of procedures and things we needed to do moving forward and we did it. She keeps updated on the current medical studies and happenings in the fertility world. She also works her ass off as well as everyone else in this office. They open at 7:00 and close late which helps my inflexible teaching schedule so much! All of the wonderful office staff always work with my tough schedule.
After trying to get pregnant for 4 ½ years, multiple miscarriages, failed embryo transfers and chemical pregnancies we did another IVF round with Dr. Morales. I truly believed that IVF was not going to work for us after so many failures. Well, Dr. Morales showed me! She got me pregnant the first try on her protocol. And she only wanted to use one embryo! SDFC always pressured us to use 2 which I never felt comfortable with.
There is so much I love about Dr. Morales. First, she is a no BS kind of doctor. She just tells you how it is and he says exactly what she thinks which I appreciate so much. But she also really truly cares about her patients. She has a big heart and some days she is more excited than I am about my pregnancy milestones! She gives

Not recommended at all! Professionals in this field should know that polyps decrease chances of getting pregnant. Dr Morales knew about the existence of a polyp, she mentioned that polyps have no relation to infertility and at the same kept doing artificial inseminations.

I had such a position experience with Dr Morales and Dr Shelly! From the initial appointment and on, we were treated in a way that made the process less stressful. All of the staff members were patient and kind and never made us feel uncomfortable or unimportant. I have recommended a few friends to fsmg and will continue to do so! Although it took time and at times felt helpless, my fertility issues were carefully examined and I successfully became pregnant and delivered twins! I am so thankful for the experience and will always have a special place in my heart for the people who compassionately worked with us.

I would highly reccomend Dr. Morales and Dr. Shelly for infertility care. They each care so deeply about their patients, you really do form a bond with everyone in the office.
We went through many treatments and each one whether low tech or high tech was treated with equal importance. I have my two daughters today and them to thank.
They go beyond just treatment and they offer free talks where they bring in Acupuncturists, Nutritionists, have their Embyologist speak, etc. Its a great approach.
I always felt that the financial discussions were upfront, there was no hidden agenda or fees, everything was brought up at once.

Do not even waste your time seeing this doctor. They do not know what they are doing and they are only out for themselves. I really can’t get into every single detail as it is personal but the nurses will give you wrong instructions and Dr. morales will misdiagnose you. You are much better off going to Reproductive Partners at UCSD regardless on whether or not they take your insurance. I am writing this advice to you from my personal experience and many friends of mine who are aware of the many reasons to avoid this practice.

Dr Morales and her entire staff are so incredibly genuine and sweet. They not only diagnose and treat your medical issues, but they support you mentally and emotionally through the IVF journey and you really end up leaving feeling like you’ve become a part of their family. We couldn’t have asked for a more exceptional bunch of experts to lead us through the dark and isolating tunnel of IVF and into to success!
Leona, Helen, Millicent, Martha, Marianne, Nicole, and of course, Dr. Morales, were some of our favorites, we couldn’t be more thankful for you!

We would recommend FSMG in a heartbeat! Dr Morales’ bed side manner was just what I needed. Everyone was friendly, supportive and walked us through every step. There were no hidden costs… everything was laid out for us through every step of the way. We are excited to meet our little boy in approx 6 weeks!!!

Dealing with infertility is hard enough. Then you end up at a «specialist» like this place, what a nightmare. We paid the $ 200 for the consultation with Dr. Morales, first she did not do the exam or ultrasound which is suppose to be part of the consultation. She said she’d do it the «next time» I came in and then the consultation went terribly. I felt like I was being pressured by a used car salesmen. The financial consultation was just as bad, full of holes and pressure to sign up for the most expensive packages they had. I was in tears by the end and my husband was angry. Needless to say we went with another doctor (thank goodness, I am currently pregnant with twins).

Had our first consult with Dr. Shelly after being referred here by my OBGYN and she was awesome! She truly listened to us and answered all our questions. She was very upfront about our options, which I liked. We have heard the negative reviews about the other doctor at this facility and I too was worried. But if you choose to go to this place, make sure to see Dr. Shelly and you won’t be disappointed.

Paid $ 200 out of pocket for a consultation with Dr. Morales and she took a phone call from her child and started arguing with him right in the middle of it. so unprofessional! Then when we started treatment all she kept on saying was that it wasn’t going to work. very negative! Not to mention every apt. we had to wait forever for her. Although we got pregnant it wasn’t an enjoyable experience and I recommend going elsewhere!

QUICK: While the Doctor is friendly, we were lied to about the cost and applicability of insurance by the front desk and to date have not had our concerns addressed despite multiple calls and over $ 2,000 in medical bills that we were told would be covered. Also, expect to feel like you’re on a used car lot with the sales techniques.
DETAILED:
My wife and I visited this place after less than a year of trying because we wanted to make sure everything was in working order. When we arrived, we provided an enormous amount of information, including our insurance. We were told that the front desk checked with our insurance and that the cost of the diagnosis, but not the treatment, was covered. This sounded consistent with what is listed on my employer-​provided health insurance plan.
Based on that information, we paid the co-​pays and moved forward with diagnosis. Everything came back fine and we were told that sometimes people just need to do IVF even if they’re completely healthy and even though we had been trying less than a year, we were asked which of the $ 30,000 plans we wanted to proceed with.
What about «You guys are healthy, maybe you should keep trying for a while» or «This is what we think, maybe you should get a second opinion and here is what we can do»?
We weren’t very happy with the hard sell, and as icing on the cake, about a month later we get bills in the mail for our «diagnosis» in the ballpark of $ 2,000. We have called multiple times and as of today, our concerns have not been addressed and our bills remain due. If we had known it was going to cost $ 2,000 just to get tested, we would not have gone through with the process.

horrible experiences, we have done everything Dr Morales asked, but turned out failed, only one egg can be retrieved, but failed in the end, we were very disappointing and we will never go back again. We even received separate bill and we need to pay for the egg die during the retrieving days, very expensive and very sad.

Today marks 3 full years since we started trying and our first appointment with Fertility Specialist Medical Group.
A personal referral sent us to FSMG and both the center, the staff and Dr Morales far exceeded our expectations. We left our initial consult with great peace and pure joy with our next steps.
We are thrilled to be entering this next phase of our life with Dr Morales and FSMG.

I had a consult with Dr Morales who told me due to my AMA that donor eggs were my Only option & that my ovaries would be «deaf» to Clomid. She actually made me cry. Then they moved us to a room with not 1, not 2, but 3 people to discuss finance & donor egg costs… Talk about high pressure sales! I felt like I was buying a new car. Well we just finished our first cycle of Mini IVF on Clomid with another Dr. & got 3 fertilized embryos. Thank you Dr Morales for showing me that it was not about me but You & you were NOT the Dr. for me. I hope this helps other women to interview the Drs & choose the one thats right for You.
